Un chalet privé, construit à la main donnant sur le lac Michigan à 3 miles de Northport

Le chalet se trouve à 150 pieds au-dessus du lac Michigan avec vue sur les ßles Manitou et Fox. 700 pieds de façade et trÚs peu de voisins offrent un degré inhabituel d'intimité et de solitude. Un chemin sinueux qui descend vers le lac mÚne à des kilomÚtres de rivage parfait pour la chasse à la pierre et à l'agate Petoskey, la natation, le kayak et la détente.

Le chalet dispose d'une large terrasse couverte qui est l'endroit idĂ©al pour se dĂ©tendre: lire, manger, regarder un coucher de soleil Ă  couper le souffle ou des nuages d'orage voler de l'ouest, regarder les Ă©toiles ou rĂȘver. Il y a un nid d'aigle Ă  proximitĂ© et des survols rĂ©guliers. Suivez et identifiez les cargos naviguant Ă  travers l'application Manitou Passage par tĂ©lĂ©phone!

Il y a un deuxiÚme patio sous le porche avec des chaises longues confortables pour un répit tranquille.

Vous ĂȘtes proche de tout ce qui est Leelanau County: caves, restaurants, plages, les Sleeping Bear Dunes, golf, randonnĂ©e et le meilleur vĂ©lo de route dans le Midwest ..... mais vous ne voudrez peut-ĂȘtre jamais quitter cet endroit. Il est parfait pour ceux qui veulent s'Ă©vader.

Du 1er juin au 1er septembre, la location est à la semaine du dimanche au dimanche. Pour le reste du temps, il y a un minimum de 3 jours. Les tarifs varient selon la saison. En basse saison, il y a un prix de base, en supposant deux personnes. Il y a des frais supplémentaires par personne aprÚs cela. Il y a aussi des frais si vous avez un chien.

Il n'y a ni wifi ni cĂąble. Pas de tĂ©lĂ©. Pas de climatisation. Le service cellulaire peut ĂȘtre inĂ©gal. Il y a des ventilateurs dans chaque chambre. Absolument aucun feu d'artifice. Il y a des puzzles, des jeux et des livres disponibles.

Le chemin est de 15 Ă©tages de haut en bas, sinueux et Ă©troit par endroits. Il faut environ 5 minutes pour descendre et 8 minutes pour monter. Vous devez ĂȘtre en forme raisonnable pour naviguer.

The word that seems best to describe is “magical”Not only one of the most spectacular views in Michigan but in the US! When you walk in the front door the view will overwhelm you.Our time there will not be soon forgotten and we are already planning a return visit.

Fox View Cottage offers perfect privacy

We have stayed at this cottage annually for a number of years. While it has everything we need, we especially love the incredible quiet and privacy it affords. This year our visit overlapped with the spring bird migration, and our week was awash in bird song from the more than 90 bird species we saw in Leelanau. We surely hope to return!

Magical property with the most Stunning views of Lake, Michigan surrounded by nature!

This is the ultimate Lake Michigan getaway! The views were stunning on the deck and inside the house. The property is gorgeous and the house was super clean, comfortable and immaculately decorated. our host was very informative, responsive had positive communications with us throughout the day as needed! . The energy was positive peaceful and I felt one with nature.. I will return ASAP!

Unwind in Northport treehouse

From the idyllic approach to the house to the expansive view from the treetops, our stay here was rejuvenating and restful. Days spent gathering petoskies and beach glass followed by music and family game nights. Daily walks with the dogs revealed constant wildlife sightings and driving around exploring the peninsula was full of natural beauty. The rolling hillsides, pretty cottage gardens in town and the water as the backdrop made every drive a delight. Hours spent on the deck just listening to the wind and the waves were the highlight. We literally felt like we were living in a treehouse!

We spent several days here enjoying the views of Lake Michigan and the quiet of the surrounding nature. Very private location where all you will hear are the waves, wind, and birds. A great place to slow down and reconnect.

Family time

The Foxview cottage is perfectly designed for its location. The view of Lake Michigan is exceptional and the cottage captures every bit of it while still being interesting and comfortable on its own. Our three grown kids still like taking family trips and we enjoyed staying here very much.

Very peaceful and private

This beautiful cottage perched above Lake Michigan is perfectly private. About all we heard here during our week in June was bird song and surf, and a lot of both. We have visited several times and it is always the ideal, peaceful getaway for us.

Perfect spring getaway

Our mid-May week at the cottage was the perfect get-away: far from traffic, without internet, TV, or cell access, surrounded by trillium, ferns, and emerging leaves, awaking to the sound of the surf and the dawn chorus with hundreds of birds, long sunset dinners on the porch. Hoping to visit again!

Great Cottage

Couldn't ask for a better place to stay near Northport. A clean, comfortable cottage with amazing architectural details; great views of the Manitou and Fox Islands; and down a beautiful almost half mile long driveway that winds past a cherry orchard. Would recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful and Peaceful Property

This was the third stay at this property for my wife an myself. The location is secluded, quiet, and very peaceful. The perfect location for getting away, disconnecting, and slowing life down a little. The property is clean, well kept, and is on an absolutely beautiful setting.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

This cottage was built by our family starting in 1960. The beams were built in our back yard using timbers from Saint Francis Church in Traverse City. My father bought remnants from the demolition of the church and much of the frame is from those remnants. My dad was a frugal man and reused everything. There is a kitchen counter top he made from left-over wood scraps from an archery manufacturer. Old cabinet doors are inlaid in the floor, as are many game boards he hand assembled. He used old colanders for ceiling lights and left-over water heaters for the duct work. He made the wall paneling from trees he milled himself! He also used under-aged laborers to build this house. We children never thought to thank him as we pulled and straightened nails and screwed the nuts to make the beams, but we thank him now. Thank you Pa.
