This vacation home is on the edge of a 30 foot cliff above Lake Superior and has unbeatable views from two decks and most of the living space.
Watch the light across the lake change from glorious sunrise to sunset, moon glow and starlight. Listen to the soothing wash of waves on a calm day or the thunder of breakers during a storm. Follow the stairway down to the private cobblestone beach for some rock skipping. Feel the cool breath of Superior.
This is a corner townhome that was custom designed, decorated, and impeccably cared for by the original owners. The many 5 star reviews by recent guests cannot be transferred, but we, the new owners, intend to continue to offer the finest lakeside accommodations.
Split levels give the place a spacious feel. From the entryway, at ground level, take a half flight of stairs up to the bedrooms or down to the living areas. The master bedroom has a king bed, full bathroom, gas fireplace, and jetted tub. Walk out onto the deck for unbelievable views of the rugged shoreline and the great lake. A second bedroom, full bath, and washer and dryer are down the hall.
The living room has huge lakeside windows, a gas fireplace, and comfortable and unique furnishings. One sofa pulls out into a bed. Through the door, the deck is a few steps up from the lawn. 6512 is the closest home to the cliff edge and the lake beyond.
The kitchen is fully equipped. Kitchen and adjoining dining area look down over the living room and out onto the lake. You'll find a large gas grill in the garage.
The home has high speed broadband internet, tv and stereo.
You are welcome to use the two bikes in the garage.
The Aspenwood townhomes share a stairway to the beach just a minute's stroll from 6512. The beach is secluded, cut off from other homes up and down the shore by rugged rock formations. Storms and fluctuating water level cause it to change continually, but a constant is the element of happy anticipation you'll feel. You may see a merganser swim by, or a giant ore boat. Gulls patrolling the shore, new stones just washed up, wave action, light across the water, bare feet in chilly water: there's always something that will catch your attention. *** As of Oct. 10th, 2018 the beach is not accessible because the spectacular Lake Superior gale that day took the steps away( as I watched). We, as yet, do not have a replacement date for them.
Located between Tofte and Lutsen, at Highway 61 mile marker 86, this is an incredible base for your North Shore adventures. World class hiking, paddling, biking, cross country and down hill skiing and golf are minutes away.
