Our family made new memories during Thanksgiving weekend! The house easily sleeps and accommodates eight people. Had fun playing pool and sitting around the fire pit in the snow.
My group of 8 absolutely enjoyed this place. Of course we loved the pool table, hot tub, and the campfire but the house itself was great too. Really loved the open first floor. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed. We did not have service in the house but we would get service near the end of the driveway--but we really didn't mind. Highly recommend hiking Cantwell Cliffs nearby as well as the Rock House. We would definitely come again, this place has some real charm!!
This property was perfect for 4 adults. We were in town for a wedding so we didn’t spend all our time on the property but it was great when we were there. The house is spacious and comfortable. The window air conditioners were effective but we also brought extra fans for comfort. We didn’t have any issues parking 3 cars in front of the property. Never used the fire pit or hot tub but it was a nice amenity. Great location. Would recommend and would stay here again.
The communication with the owner, was excellent. When we first arrived, we were awed by the beautiful location: hills, an expansive woods, and many species of birds singing. As we approached the house, we found that it was VERY difficult to park two cars. It was suggested that we park near the propane tank. There was room for only one car. The STEEP driveway was impossible for the second car.
Then we mounted the steps to the lovely deck and saw the condition of the house. It needed carpentry work, caulking and paint. It was shabby. Not like any other VRBO we have rented!
Inside it needed new carpet, cabinet repairs in the kitchen, repairs to the dripping faucet in the master first floor bath, repairs to the shower doors in the second floor bath, and a new lightbulb in the first floor bedroom lamp. It was impossible to turn on the ceiling light in the first floor bedroom without having the ceiling fan whirring. There was no hair dryer. The fitted sheets would not stay put on the bed. We were disappointed in the overall condition.
There is SUCH POTENTIAL for this property. The location is gorgeous! The house is very LARGE. The size suited our family very well. It was very clean. We were warned about no WIFi, so we used hot spots. We were just disappointed in its shabby condition.

The house looks tiny outside but is massive inside. Hot tub was warm and kitchen well stocked. Feels like a cozy hideaway. No wifi but we had a cell signal and hot spotted on one person's unlimited data.
Quiet area within a short drive between Lancaster and Logan. Great access to Hocking Hills and area attractions. Great set up for our family of 6 adults.
Negative comment: 3rd floor bedroom needs air conditioning.
Overall we had a decent stay. The house is older and there are several updates that need to be made. Not having any wifi or cell signal (AT&T) at all was a little difficult. The fan above the stove and the dishwasher both seemed to be broken. We couldn’t find the remote to the dvd player. We were supposed to have 6 people but it ended up only being us two, which was actually good because the common area would have been a little small for 6 of us and the hot tub only fits 4. However, the beds were comfy, the pool table was fun, and the location was good.
We enjoyed our stay; the hot tub and fire pit were nice; it was nice there was a bathroom on each level; The lack of WiFi wasn’t a major issue because we were busy enjoying hocking hills activities; some of our group with Verizon had service but AT&T did not until you got closer to RT 33; we appreciated the extra towels and beach towels; The only suggestion I would have is to do a thorough cleaning of the shower doors as there was a lot of mold in the track and also good carpet shampooing; Thank u so much for allowing us to stay in your home as we had a wonderful girls weekend getaway😁
Great place for a weekend getaway for 7 adults. Plenty of beds & bathrooms. Hot tub, grill, and fire pit were perfect for the outdoors in hocking. Host was immediately responsive and super helpful! Hiking trails were all around a 30 minute drive or less. Cantwell Cliffs was 8 minutes away. Open field at end of driveway for Kan Jam or other activities. Highly recommend!
Loved every part of our stay! The owner is friendly and helpful and the house is perfect for a weekend in Hocking Hills! Super close to the trails but also easy highway access. Very quiet property and the amenities are much appreciated! We loved soaking in the hot tub and sitting around the campfire!
This place was definitely worth the little momma vaca I planned for my friends & I. Not only was it beautiful, but so relaxing!! We had such a great time & also loved how close it was to the antique mall & coffee shop (we love to shop!) We would most definitely love to do it again!! Thank you to the property managers for letting us stay at such a beautiful relaxing getaway ❣️
This place was everything we wanted and needed it to be! Loved the over supply of towels, a weird thing to be excited about lol but this place was very well stocked. We had a group of 6 adults and we really enjoyed this place. The communication was easy back and forth with the owner as well. Would definitely recommend.
House was the perfect amount of space for 2 families of 4. The pool table was a hit as well as the hot tub. Some small updates would have been ideal but overall a great experience and was in close proximity to hiking.
this weekend couldn’t of gone any better ! every thing on the listing is accurate. very easy to find. service worked fine for verizon lol. we will definitely be returning !
Conveniently located near everything we wanted to explore. The house was spacious, the kitchen had plenty of seating, the hot tub was clean and the pool table was a bonus.
Great place to stay at an affordable price for a weekend get away.
Nice property. Was great for 4 kids… 2 families… plenty of room for everyone.

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Needs serious updates/fixes
Be aware. No wi-fi, no cell service and half the satellite channels didn't work. The house looked like nothing in it had been updated since 1980. The toilet in the bathroom downstairs ran all night long. Went to cook in the kitchen and there was a dirty knife that had been placed back in the knife board. The dishwasher smelled horribly, the drawer in the fridge was broken and there were bees/wasps throughout the house. The AC units are on the wall and very loud. There is no AC unit in the bedroom downstairs. We had to sleep with the door open to get AC from family room (back to the loudness). The only upside is that the property manager seemed nice and check in/out was easy.
Overall, we paid $750 for a 2 night stay. I would have never done that knowing how outdated this property is/other options out there. And I've never left a VRBO review before but felt compelled to on this one....think twice before booking.
