Formerly a working cattle ranch, this big spread with two homes available for rent is just as private and exclusive as it is beautiful. Once you pass through the gates you will begin your journey. The mile-long driveway leads to the Ranch House, a 4,500-square-foot edifice set in the middle of rolling ranch land. 100 year-old cottonwoods stand guard over this pastoral castle. The sun rises over a quaint pond and sets over seven of the Cascade's most picturesque peaks. Experience the flavor of the Old Wild West from the comfort of a designer homestead at the Great House. Denim and boots are required getup but hats off during dinner.
Our Hired Hand House is across the way and is available for larger groups to rent (see VRBO#437985). This additional home makes the ranch the perfect place for family reunions and retreats.
Our two ponds are brimming with Bass and Crappie, which means you will do more catching than fishing. Fly fishing lessons can be arranged to help you master your cast before tackling Central Oregon wild rivers, renown for their trout and steelhead.* If fishing isn’t your idea of a good time then just sit back, relax and enjoy the sun while the others do all the work.
Entertaining good friends or just treating yourself right is made easy at the Triple D Ranch. Epicurean delights can be delivered to your door by the areas top chefs.* Our professionally appointed gourmet kitchen is perfect for cooking demonstrations or wine tastings. Create an evening of magic by hosting an intimate, catered dinner party in the dining room. Your imagination is the only limitation.
The Great Room is the place to relax and watch the fire crackle or to catch the latest blockbuster. This room hosts an expansive view of hay fields, Ponderosa pine forests and wildlife including hawks, eagles, osprey, geese, ducks, deer, sometimes elk and the elusive wild turkey. Inside the Great Room you will find stuffed badger, lynx, duck, goose and a coyote pelt or two.
The Billiard Room boasts billiards, checkers, poker or just kickin’ back. Late nights are welcome, not forbidden at the Triple D Ranch.
The Bedrooms (See photos by clicking on the Additional Photos link at the bottom of the page)
BIG VALLEY. This room would have been the respite of Victoria Barkley. Featuring a king bed with fireplace and deck. Big Valley faces east and looks out over the pond. Make sure to catch the sunrise at least once during your stay!
RAWHIDE. Here you would have found Clint Eastwood and the drovers after finishing their cattle drive. Queen cowhide bed with a view-deck to catch great mountain sunsets.
GUNSMOKE. If your timing was right, you might have caught Marshall Dillon visiting Miss Kitty in this room. Intimate space with a private deck nestled in the cottonwoods. Perfect for watching the ranch awaken, especially wildlife thirsty for a drink.
BONANZA. Hoss would have claimed this room. Queen Ponderosa Pine bed and sofa for relaxing, putting on your boots or just admiring the sunset.
BUNK ROOM. Not pictured. Located on the first floor with 6 bunks for the rest of the gang. This room has a bathroom across the hall and a full shower/bath near the kitchen.

Our family has dedicated most of our spare time and resources to rebuilding and restoring our ranch. It has been our passion to return the ranch to the phenomenal property it deserves to be. Every fence, barn and house has been carefully designed and/or restored to honor the most amazing piece of land in Central Oregon. We are very proud of the final product. We hope you decide to come and see it for yourself.
Peg purchased this house in 1990
If you want privacy on a large piece of land with plenty to do look no further. There is barely a reason to go to town but....the west side of Bend is just a couple miles down the road.
We have chickens in the coop, kayak on the beach, fishing, swimming and also inner tubes for floating the lazy part of the Deschutes River just a mile from our driveway. We are an exceptionally unique place for a summer vacation. Our ranch with two homes allows for families to spread out or feel very much together.
Simply put, read the reviews our guests have posted. They say it all. If you want to have a place to bring your family and create memories then look no further.
This place is incredible. We have stayed here multiple years now on our annual family vacation - we keep coming back to "the ranch!"
Its like having your own personal national park right out the front door. The view of the mountains is difficult to believe - you just have to see it. You don't need to leave (but if you do, Starbucks and high-end shopping in downtown bend is only 15min away). There is fishing, hiking, kayaking, and animal watching. You can find frogs, fish, deer, lizards, owls, elk, rabbits, and more. The kids will absolutely love it, and if they are used to the city it will blow their minds. They can pick a direction and RUN (the property is huge).
If you want to get away from it all, in a private relaxing place, that is also beautiful and full of things to do that don't require getting into a car, look no further. But please don't book my week - we are coming back again! :)
If you have ever wondered what it’s like to live like a billionaire then just stay at this beautiful 4500 square foot luxury ranch at the end of a mile long driveway set on hundreds of rolling acres with no neighbors in sight. Of the dozens of properties all over the US we have stayed at, this was by far our favorite because of the luxury of the ranch house, the beauty of the property and it’s reasonable price. The wildlife is unmatched. We stayed four nights in February and woke up to a herd of 100 elk on the front lawn and six coyotes ranging the hay fields. Peggy and Craig were wonderful in every way and the friendliest people you could hope to meet. They invited us pick fresh eggs from the chicken coop for our breakfast. There are goats and horses on the property. The mountain views of the Cascade range from the ranch are stunning and we didn’t want to leave.
Although completely private with the feeling that you are far out in the central Oregon country side, it is only a few minutes drive to downtown Bend and all of it’s great restaurants and activities. We went hiking every day in the surrounding state and local parks and returned to the luxury of the ranch at night after driving through the locked gate for complete privacy. We hiked miles on the hiking trails on the property itself with no one around but the elk herds which had migrated to the neighboring ranch.
Very highly recommended.
We had our bi-annual family vacation of 15 (2 grandparents; 4 couples; 5 grandchildren) here. Accommodations met or exceeded expectations; everything worked as advertised; extremely clean; made us want to work to leave it in as good shape as we found it; hosts were wonderfully accommodating with good suggestions of things a multi-generational family could do in the area. We tubed on the Deschutes River using tubes supplied by the property; we visited national monuments and the high desert museum; we enjoyed a trip down memory lane by eating at the Pine Tavern in Bend.
Altogether a wonderfully relaxing vacation in beautiful surroundings on a working ranch.
We met friends and family at the Triple D for our 25th Anniversary - when we arrived we were in awe! We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility, gorgeous views, fishing 24/7 at the pond, hiking and spotting wildlife. The sunrises and sunsets were to die for! Being just a short drive to downtown Bend still enabled us to enjoy the local shopping, breweries and also take day trips to nearby attractions/cities. The owners were extremely welcoming, and available if we had questions. You will find the home warm and comfortable, the grounds unbelievably gorgeous and your stay a "10" in anyone's book! We hope to return again next summer!
I took my wife and our friends to the Triple D ranch for a long weekend to celebrate her 40th birthday. We had a terrific time and would recommend the ranch without reservation. The house and property were incredible! We plan on returning with our kids sometime soon!
This is a terrific place for gatherings of all types - intimate interludes, small get-togethers or large-group events. There is so much to do and so much to see - for people of all ages. We all wanted to move in so we could be a part of it all.
The description and the photos are accurate, the property is beautifully maintained - inside and out, the owner is very helpful and excited for others to enjoy the property. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
(And, there is lots do to nearby, but there's really no reason to leave!)
Ice-skating, ice-fishing, bird watching, croquet, lawn bowling, chess, poker, cooking lessons, wine-tasting, local festivals.
