Beautiful view early in the morning peaceful place .very close to the New River Gorge Bridge over looks 27 minutes to Babcock State Park 40 minutes to sandstone falls 20 minutes to long point trail parking lot and not too far to Grandview overlooking.we just stayed two nights
Amazing place. Very clean! Owner of property was incredibly helpful. Place is off the beaten path a bit but the views are incredible if you love the country style vibe
It is a quaint little country get away.. tucked away from everyone yet super close to everything. We all enjoyed our stay, and spent our evenings on the screened in porch. Well equipped kitchen and had everything we needed. Would stay again.
Beautiful property very convenient to activities in Fayetteville. Rural we saw deer and turkeys every morning. The home itself is very cozy and comfortable.
Cabin was wonderful and well equipped; enjoyed screen porch! Quiet with lots of star gazing. Fayetteville has wonderful restaurants, pubs, breweries! Be sure to eat local.
The hottub was excellent. Very clean, temp was perfect and felt awesome after our hike and white water rafting. Beautiful property and really little light pollution, so we could see lots of stars. Very beautiful. Very beautiful surroundings. Great contact with Property Manager/owner. Checkin and checkout procedures were easy. House was very homey and loved it. Very close to New River Gorge, WV bridge and hiking trails. Only 25 minutes to our white water rafting at Ace Adventure. Would definitely stay here again
We had 6 adults for 2 nights. There was plenty of seating in several areas. House was clean and all linens were provided. The property was beautiful and neighbors were extremely friendly. We would stay here again.
Out away from town but kind of in the middle of attractions. It's West Virginia so every drive is scenic and exciting with all the twists and turns. Some deer every morning and a turkey to see us off.
A great home base for exploring the new river gorge np
We wanted a hot tub to come home to after planning to hike all day for each day of our trip and the hot tub here didn't disappoint. The house sits on a great property, easy to get to off a main-ish road. The house in general served our needs of our group of 2 parents and 2 kids. We streamed a movie one night using the houses tv & wifi. One thing to note for parents is the master bedroom door doesn't lock and the master bed is pretty squeaky
4 adults 3 bathrooms and plenty of
Privacy with layout of bedrooms and baths. LR furniture worn, but place was very clean. A plus was screened-in porch. There is a fire-pit and hot-tub which we didn’t have a chance to use. City water and beautiful view. Long hill driveway. Owner recommended all wheel drive. We made it with a front wheel drive, hatchback. Just be careful.

Fabulous weekend in NRG and surrounding parks with comfortable stay in the cabin. Propane BBQ and hot tub were fun and worked perfect. We loved the screened in porch. Washer/dryer was great to dry our swim clothes for the following day. We slept great in the beds. There are 2 full baths with showers and also a 3rd toilet in a closet (you come out and wash hands in the kitchen sink). There were some ants that showed up in the kitchen but host had quick communication and resolved issue with spray and ant traps. The toaster only gave black toast unless you watch it carefully and push cancel when you want. The views of the meadow and mountains were beautiful. We saw multiple deer each evening and morning. There was a beautiful misty fog on the mountains in the morning. The neighbors friendly dog quietly came to look at us every time we drove up then would go back home. We loved everything!
The cabin was clean and the beds comfortable. It is close enough to a Walmart to get what we needed. One of the door handles is not properly screwed into the door and the shower doors are hard to open. The screened-in porch and table were perfect for enjoying the glorious weather at this time of year. The owner was quick to accommodate a special request that they did not have to honor. It was much appreciated. The terrier next door was a sweetheart and visited twice for just a few minutes. He was sweet and unobtrusive. Came by long enough to smell all the things around the cabin and get some attention then he left.
The house was clean, good appliances, and very quiet. Front screened porch was a great place to have breakfast and enjoy the views of the field and hills.
After reading other reviews, I expected the neighbors dog and some bugs to get inside around window A/C units. We saw a few bugs, but not too many (stuffing towels worked great). Neighbor's dog did stop by a few times but, as others reported, it was very friendly.
My only slight objection was that I thought it was closer to Fayetville based on VRBO dropped pin. The actual location is much closer to Cathedral Falls, but the remoteness was a real charm. In addition, the driveway is pretty washed out so one needs to be a little careful on the drive in. We had a mini-van and a sedan and made it fine, albeit slowly.
Overall, I
Rustic home located 10-15 minutes outside of Fayetteville. Quiet location, ample parking- we had 3 vehicles at the house, 3 adults couples. Best part is the screened-in front porch with a table and chairs for 6 adults. The amenities were the fire pit- host provided firewood and kindling, which is appreciated. The host also had 6 chairs for outdoor seating by the firepit. The home has a hot tub on the back porch. We used it one night, no problems. Other positives was the kitchen had newer appliances and provided smaller appliances including a coffee maker, toaster, and Keurig, a pantry, dishwasher, and plenty of supplies provided like dishsoap, trashbags, and dishwasher detergent. The window AC units cooled the house just fine.
For improvements or things to be aware of, the house in general needs maintenance, interior and exterior. Nothing major, things like a broken door knob or towel hook, burned out lightbulbs, a hornets nest on the front of a chair cushion on the back porch, etc. The back porch area needs to be at least swept- floor and around doors and railings for spiderwebs, bugs, leaves.
The neighbor's dog came by frequently, which we did not mind. Nice, friendly dog. The only time he barked is when he knew we had bacon and burgers and we weren't sharing.
Overall, it wasn't a horrible place to stay. Had everything we needed, but I wouldn't stay here again.
