Chalet, 2 Bedrooms + 2 Convertible beds, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)
A great place to gather with family and friends away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Enjoy barbecues in the yard, rejuvenate in the hot tub or simply unwind in the peaceful outdoors.
Our Chalet is designed to sleep six people comfortably. Upon entering the Chalet, just opposite the laundry room and bathroom, you'll find the first bedroom containing a queen-sized bed. A new, King bed is located upstairs in the Master/Loft. In our opinion, the loft is where you can find the best mountain views peering through the ceiling-to-floor windows. The loft also houses a large armoire and a full-sized, solid-wooden futon bed. Below the loft is the living area where you'll find an identical solid-wood, full-sized futon bed. From here, watch a movie on DirecTV, BluRay/DVD, or just kick back and relax with your special someone in front of a romantic fireplace.
The kitchen is fully stocked with a 14-piece stainless steel Cuisinart skillet & pots/pans set for indoor use. Here you'll also find a microwave, blender, toaster, full spice rack, coffee pot (with coffee & sugar/creamer packets) to name a few extra amenities. We also provide all of the necessities for outdoor cooking like the propane on the large grill near the firepit and grill utensils.
And, of course, don't forget the Hot Tub on the wrap-around deck: the perfect relaxation amenity!

About Shanna & Paul
We love all things outdoors. We have spent many years rafting and guiding on the New and Gauley Rivers which offer some of the best whitewater in the world. We like to hike and fish. Our truest sport-love is skiing. We have skied many resorts in many states and look forward to playing on many more mountains. We like to garden and play with our farm animals. We raise goats, cows, and chickens. We have rescued two dogs: Willow, a German Shepherd mix (i.e. West Virginia Brown Dog) and more recently Rocky, a Great Dane/Cane Corso Mastiff mix.

Quiet, secluded, and peaceful getaway
Thanks to Shanna and Paul for a great weekend! Their cabin is cozy, quiet, and perfect for enjoying the gorgeous views.
This beautiful loft cabin has gorgeous views of woods, pasture and mountains. It is also very clean and well kept
! A wrap around deck complete with outdoor furnishings and a hot tub made it comfortable to commune with nature. It is not that far from all the activities this area is famous for (white water rafting, Bridge Day, hiking, biking, etc..) Yet feels miles away from everything. The cabin was stocked with plenty of lovely thick bath towels and wash clothes, dish clothes, and towels, dishwasher pods, laundry soap and fabric softener, starter paper towels and toilet tissue (plenty for our three day stay (wish it had been a week... or more!). There is also a nice Maytag washer and dryer
There was a fantastic selection of board games (monopoly, scrabble, trivial pursuit, etc.) plus guide books for hiking, biking, atv trails, and more. There were also brochures for various activities in the area, too!
We loved it and can't wait to return!
It's really as secluded and scenic as the pictures indicate. And the owners have a gift for hospitality and detail. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet, the beauty, the hot tub and the little comforts of home. I hope we can come again.
Beautiful, Peaceful, Relaxing, and Close to Fayetteville!!
My sister and I enjoyed our stay at Shanna and Paul's Place in Oak Hill! Shanna and Paul were always available and quick to respond to our messages and needs! We spent most of our time cooking, relaxing and enjoying the views when we were at the cabin!
Charming cabin with beautiful views
My family and I loved this cabin. We enjoyed our stay and time. The hosts did a great job providing info on local places to eat and other activities. Want to come and stay again for longer time!
Beautiful and peaceful
Thanks for your hospitality!
Our driveway is a mile-long, red rock/gravel/dirt road. There are no street lights or stop lights. This “off-the-beaten-path” drive surrounded by woodlands and hills is the only way to escape the disturbances of everyday life and truly enjoy the seclusion that our cabin has to offer. Please drive slowly; you will likely encounter some deer or turkeys crossing the road. During the winter months, we strongly recommend AWD or 4WD to access the cabin.
