Awesome house, amazing town

We loved the town of Arles and it was so fun staying in the city centre! We used it as our jumping off point for day trips on other towns and were always happy to return to Arles and this house. Bernard is a fantastic host, when you arrive he gave us lots of helpful information and a small tour which we loved! Definitely recommend this place.

Great Place; Great Host

We had a fantastic 12-day stay in Arles. The VRBO unit was top-notch with everything we needed and more. And to make matters even better, our Host Bernard made sure that we got the most out of our stay. He met us at the local supermarket and led us to the parking garage, helped us carry our bags, described every cupboard, drawer and appliance, and if that wasn’t enough, led us on a personal tour of the town. Can’t say enough about the VRBO, its location in the center of town (steps from the Arena) and our incredible host Bernard.

Fantastic little house in central Arles

The house itself is in a great location close to the centre of Arles. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, very clean and well-equipped. The garage and the roof terrace are a real bonus. Our host really stood out for his welcome and availability during our stay, very generous with his time to ensure we had everything we needed and including a short walking tour of the immediate area on our arrival so we could orientate our way around the city. No hesitation in recommending this property.

Perfect hosts and perfect location

This property was just around the corner from the Roman arena at Arles. Bernard was available for help and advice whenever. The property was well appointed spacious and very clean. Was a perfect place to explore the old city of Arles. It was also a great base for exploring Provence. Highly recommend this property that had its own garage for the car. Great time and interesting town. 100% recommend Arles and this apartment.. Thank you Bernard and Josette.

A lovely house

A lovely house in an excellent location. The house is comfortable, well decorated, very clean and generously equipped. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Appreciated everything, from the well stocked funky wine cellar to the top of the house, with balcony overlooking La Major church spire and Arlesian roof tops. Bed really comfortable, shower excellent, kitchen has all you need. So grateful for this lovely house, the comms before arrival and warm welcome from Jo and Bernard. We highly recomend this delightful Arlesian house! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The perfect location for a 2-week Provence getaway

I offer my highest possible recommendation for this property. The host Bernard was extraordinarily communicative and friendly. He made our check-in and check-out process a breeze, and was easily reachable via WhatsApp if anything came up. The home itself is magnificent and perfect for those looking for a nice location in Provence from which to embark on driving excursions. We stayed 14 days and enjoyed the garage included with the property, spending about every third day in Arles with the rest out adventuring. I can't emphasize how nice it is to "come home" to Arles, through the private driving areas of the historic part of town, and be able to park your vehicle right next to the house. We found Arles to be magical and the location of this house was a major factor. The house itself is charming, clean, and has everything you need. We will book this location again if we return to the area, without hesitation. Thank you Bernard and Jo!

Perfect

Our stay here began with such a lovely warm welcome and a tour around the area local to the property. So helpful in the best bread, coffee, restaurants, plus some historic information, buildings and the photographic exhibitions which is why we were there. Sitting on the verandah with coffee in the morning and our supper in the evening was a complete delight. The air-conditioning was so welcome after a busy day at numerous adventures and exhibitions. We wish we could stay longer and have booked for next year. Wonderful town, friendly creative people, a calm and energetic place. The light is extraordinary and I can see why people return. Our stay in this property was wonderful and look forward to coming back. Thank you.

Best place to stay in Arles

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Bernard was an awesome host, picking us up at the train station and giving us a lot of information about Arles. He even took us back to the train station early in the morning when we left. The property is the most well stocked property we have ever stayed in and we really appreciated the coffee, jam, butter and milk that were there when we arrived. We also appreciated how Bernard checked in with us a few times (we stayed there for 19 nights). A garage was available for us to store our bikes. The heat worked well on the days that were cooler when we were there. Be aware there are very steep stairs in this property. Not an issue for us, but could be for others. Thank you so much for the best stay in this lovely city.

Perfect location and wonderful host.

Bernard was very kind and informative. He picked us up at the train station and spent a couple of hours talking us through the best things to do and good restaurants to eat at. He even walked us around town to give us the layout. The house is on a quiet street just steps away from the arena. There is a garage, which is great to keep your car safe and off the narrow roads. We only used the car to come and go from town, since the streets within the walls are narrow, convoluted and often one way. The home was perfect for two (maybe 3). It exists on 4 floors and has narrow stairs, so might be risky for small children. Bernard did a great job decorating. The kitchen was well-stocked, although the knives could be sharpened. The heating worked great (as well as the hot water), which was needed while we were there. All-in-all, we were very satisfied. Great location; great host; quaint and well-equipped home; garage; very comfortable bed.

Modern elegance with ancient grace in the heart of Arles

If this home is available for your visit to Arles, snap it up! Bernard and Jo were the perfect hosts! We were greeted at the train station by English-speaking Bernard who went out of his way to be kind and helpful. He showed us around Arles and brought us with his car to the house. The house is ancient in design and has some old walls, visible in the delightful wine cellar, but has been fully renovated with all modern conveniences. We especially appreciated the fantastic shower! Everything you could need for a pleasant stay has been provided including fresh milk and eggs, home made marmalade and cookies, coffee and tea. The home has a comfortable bed on the 1st floor (up a steep but well lit staircase) and a second futon type bed on the 2nd floor. The balcony is very pretty, with a lovely town view. The secure locked garage was a welcome surprise and quite rare in homes inside the city walls. The house is in a charming area, close to everything, steps to the arena and restaraunts. We could not have chosen a better place to stay. Thank you to Bernard and Jo for making this home so special and welcoming!

Historisches Häuschen mit Flair

Authentisches Wohnen im Altbau mitten in der Altstadt, eine Gehminute von der Arena entfernt.Liebevoll und behutsam von Jo und Bernard restauriert und renoviert, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem Komfort des 21.Jahrhunderts versehen. Sehr gute Küchenausstattung, sehr gute Matratzen, überall Moskitonetze vor den Fenstern und Alles picobello sauber. Die Klimaanlage brauchten wir Anfang Mai noch nicht, wir haben den luftigen Balkon genossen.Und kein Parkplatzstreß dank der Garage schräg gegenüber, die auch für breitere Autos geeignet ist.Bernard hatte uns mit seinem Wagen und seiner Einfahrerlaubnis am Parkplatz des Monoprix am Place Lamartine abgeholt und uns durch das Labyrinth der Altstadtgassen zum Haus gelotst.Die Altstadt ist weitgehend autofrei und darf nur von den Anwohnern mit entsprechendem Ausweis befahren werden. Wir bekamen auch so einen Einfahrausweis, Arles läßt sich jedoch ohne Gewaltmärsche bequem zu Fuß entdecken.Bernard hat sich netterweise viel Zeit genommen, uns Tips der Sehenswürdigkeiten, guter Restaurants, Geschäfte etc. zu geben. Einen großen Stadplan und Infomaterial gab es gleich dazu. Wir haben uns sehr wohl in „unserem“ Häuschen gefühlt und den Aufenthalt in der schönen Altstadt und abends auf dem luftigen Balkon sehr genossen.Herzlichen Dank an Jo und Bernard für die sehr nette und zugewandte Gastfreundschaft!

La très jolie maison Arlésienne

Bernard nous accueilli avec une grande gentillesse Sa maison est parfaite ! Jolie et très bien équipée et bien sûr très confortable… on s’y sent tellement bien … Parfaitement bien située pour visiter Arles de long en large. Si vous avez une voiture vous pouvez aussi allez en Camargue. Je recommande !!!

Zentrale Lage in der Altstadt mit Parkgarage und Einfahrtsberechtigung

Unser Gastgeber Bernhard hat uns perfekt betreut und über Alles Notwendige genau informiert. Mehr geht nicht. Ein sehr zuvorkommender und angenehmer Mensch. Wir fühlten uns zu jeder Zeit gut aufgehoben. Verständigung auf Englisch reibungslos. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Perfekt die Sonnenlage des Balkons mitten in der City. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fussläufig zu erreichen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Immer wieder gerne.

Perfekte Mischung zwischen traditionell und komfortable!

Alles war perfekt. Der telefonische Kontakt, in gutem Englisch, das Treffen außerhalb des Stadtkernes,da die Innenstadt eigentlich für Touristen gesperrt ist,und dann die Fahrt bis zum Haus,Bernard fuhr vor uns . Das Haus liegt zentral im Stadtkern und trotzdem in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße,die Garage schräg gegenüber, also perfekt. Man steht sofort in der Küche mit Eßplatz .Diese ist traditionell dekoriert, mit altem Steinboden,hat aber alles ,was ein moderner Haushalt braucht. Spühlmaschiene,Waschmaschin,Grill,Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank mit Gefrierschrank,Wasserkocher,Kaffeemaschine und sogar eine elektronische Saftpresse.Alles liegt bereit,Spülmaschienentaps,einige Kaffetaps,Waschmittel, im Kühlschrank Milch und Butter für die ersten Tage u.v.m. Von dort geht eine Treppe nach oben in das Schlafzimmer, ,die sehr steil ist mit einem Handlauf. Das Bett ist modern und bequem.mit einer überdimensionalen Bettdecke. Das Badezimmer ist modern eingerichtet und ein Fön liegt bereit.Es gbt in jedem Raum eine Heizung und eine Klimaanlage,einen Fernseher.Alle Fenster haben Fliegengitter! Deutsche Programme kann man zwar,außer Arte,nicht sehen,aber bei dem guten Welan kommt man mit einem Tablet klar. Über die nächste Treppe kommt man nach oben zu einem Raum mit Schlafsofa.Hier gibt es eine weitere Toilette und einen tollen überdachten Balkon. Bernard hat sich viel Zeit genommen um alles zu erklären und empfehlen. Er bot sogar einen Stadtrundgang an. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen .

Die Ferienwohnung hat uns begeistert

Die Ferienwohnung hat uns begeistert mit ihrer Lage in der Altstadt nahe der Arena, der ungewöhnlichen Annehmlichkeit einer eigenen großen Garage direkt schräg gegenüber vom Haus und natürlich mit ihrer wunderschönen und reichhaltigen Ausstattung und einem super gepflegten Zustand, der nur noch durch die liebevolle Aufmerksamkeit und Freundlichkeit der Vermieter Josette und Bernard übertroffen wird. Die Ferienwohnung ist ein altes, typisches Haus in Arles mit entsprechender Raumaufteilung von jeweils einem Raum pro Stockwerk. Im Erdgeschoss kommt man in die geräumige Küche, in der es an nichts fehlt. Besonders schön ist die Deko mit schönen Bildern zu bestimmten Themen, wie z.B. dem Stierkampf, die einen dazu noch immer zum Schmunzeln bringen. Im aufgeräumten Keller kann man den dort lagernden Wein aus der Region genießen Oben ist das gemütliche, geschmackvoll modern gestaltete Schlafzimmer und Bad mit Toilette. So gut geschlafen haben wir schon lange nicht mehr. Unter dem Dach liegt ein Zimmer mit großem Fenster, gemütlicher Couch und Zugang zu einer Toilette, sowie Zugang zur großen Dachterrasse mit kleiner eigenen Küche mit Kühlschrank. Das Haus ist modern renoviert und hat dennoch den historischen örtlichen Charakter behalten. Wir haben uns in dem Haus, der Stadt und der weiteren Umgebung sehr wohlgefühlt. Es fiel uns schwer, uns von den liebevollen und stets hilfsbereiten Vermietern Josette und Bernard zu trennen.

Brandschoon, volledig geëquipeerd met keukentoestellen en materialen, smart-tv's, verwarming, handdoeken en beddengoed. Ook heel wat basisbenodigdheden om te koken en te poetsen. Bernard geeft je handige tips voor musea en restaurants en zorgt voor een plattegrond en een parkeerkaart. Het is een verwelkomende gastheer die je ook bijstaat in nood. Ik kom zeker nog terug!

Arles

Nous avons été très bien accueillis au notre hôte Bernard qui nous a bien renseigné sur la ville d’Arles et ses environs, nous avons séjourné pendant les journées du patrimoine et Arles est très bien placée niveau patrimoine et culturelle.La location est très bien située avec un parking juste en face. Tout est prévu pour un bon accueil , café confiture beurre lait à disposition à notre arrivée, lit fait à notre arrivée très confortable , belle terrasse pour prendre le petit déjeuner .TOUT ETAIT PARFAIT ,nous reviendrons . Merci à nos hôtes.
