Upper level includes spacious master suite & private deck with Gulf views! Lost Colony Villas offers spaciousness and privacy, community swimming pool, and direct beach access! No garage access. Great Budget stay

Was a clean home. Rooms were clean. Being furnished with cookware we expected some pans, pots, plates and silverware which are all here. There was 1 pot with something burnt in it we found looked to be hidden by last renters and had to clean it in order to use it. But 0 pans for the oven so id bring 1. We almost bought and donated 1. Overall tho it was a good stay.

Perfect Place for an awesome trip

We had an amazing time both on the beach and at the house. The house is close to the entrance of the community. Beach access is also not very far away. The house has everything one would want (dishware) for a vacation. The property management company was quick to respond to questions or concerns. They also ensured a propane tank was brought to the house so we could cook out. Definitely would stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was very nice and reasonably priced. The only complaint would be some of the cleaning. Although the property was clean on the surface, when I looked under the couch to find my grandsons toy, there were other "things" under there that did not belong to him. I also went to use the broom to clean up a mess but it was disgusting and filled with hair! Since the rental is charging a very high price for the cleaning cost, maybe someone should make sure they are cleaning it appropriately.

Great Family Getaway

Our family of five (3 adult children) enjoyed our stay in the Beach Blessings house. It was the perfect size for our family and we enjoyed the convenient distance from the beach. A couple of times we walked to the beach using the community boardwalk but most days we packed our vehicle with chairs and cooler and drove to the nearby beach access road to avoid carrying all our supplies for a longer time at the beach. The balcony was the perfect spot to sit and read a book and have a cup of tea in the morning listening to the sound of the wind and waves.

this was our 3rd visit to lost colony, 1st time in this particular unit. house was spacious, clean and well equipped. property management team were johnny on the spot when we reported a broken coffee pot - new one was delivered same day. check in was a breeze as the house uses a pass code on the door which was texted to us prior to arrival. we will be back for sure.

I saw the sunrise every morning from the top deck, and every evening we watched the sun set across from us. The beds were comfortable and the house feels roomy. I loved the decks!! It’s a short walk to a breathtaking beach. Words can’t describe how beautiful it really is. My whole family loved it. We will definitely be back next year, if not sooner!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first trip to Port A and we enjoyed our stay in Beach Blessing. The house layout was just what we needed to accompany our group. There is a view of the water from the third floor balcony. Make sure to take a wagon to pull your beach gear as it is a bit of a walk. We drove around to beach access 2 and back near the boardwalk to our house. Because it has been very dry we had a few times we thought the truck would get stuck.

Beautiful location - short walk to the beach

Beautiful beach home with plenty of space. Be aware that there are quite a few stairs - no issue for us, but could be for some. Cleanliness rating given 4 stars due to light switches with dirty fingerprints in multiple locations through the house. As listed given 4 stars - shows to have a Keurig, but there is not one. Also says there is a shared BBQ grill, but we were unable to find one anywhere. Beach is a 6-7 minute walk, beach was beautiful and clean. Overall, lovely location, could use a littke better upkeep, but we would definitely rent again!

Needs Some Love

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is my fifth year straight staying here - 40 nights. The only investment I can see is a new washer. The blue couch and brown chair in living room are old and worn and the couch has this layer of brown in places. That pillow with the star always displayed is dirty. The chair is so wallowed out you have to stack pillows to fill the back to sit comfortably. The main tv has four no pixel lines across it for past 3 years. Some outlets don’t work. Beds are old. It’s just been ignored and has become more like a fishing house versus beach villa. Shame. Lot of memories but at these prices I can’t recommend it unless it gets some upgrades. We made our annual reservation for next year elsewhere.

Our Stay In Lost Colony

We came down for a short visit. Upon our arrival the place seemed well kept outside. However, the inside of the home wasn’t quite clean enough. We found body hair and hair from someone’s head in both of the downstairs bathrooms. Beds were made but both downstairs beds smelled as though someone had already been in them. This could have been caused by the musty smell moving throughout the home. The home appeared to be under construction at the lowest level which was a concern as we wanted to utilize the washer and dryer, however both were rusty and we didn’t want to take a chance at ruining clothes.Overall the smell was horrible.

It’s location is great as a midway between Port A and Flour Bluff. The walk to the beach is short enough and good exercise. It would be too far for the elderly or disabled. The house is quaint and very functional for a great vacation. By comparison to other properties, it is very minimally decorated and the furniture throughout is old; however, it’s a better price point. If you like more decorations and amenities you might shop the other Port A Escapes inventory to compare. All that said-it works for my family and we are coming back for a fourth year.

Ocean sounds and cool breezes

We loved our stay and the house perfectly fit our 5 adults and one kid. It was stocked with everything we needed, clean and the communication with the management company far exceeded expectations. We could hear the waves if the doors were open and had a beautiful view from the top deck. The deck space was incredible! The walk to the beach was challenging (far and cumbersome) with our beach gear, so we ended up driving to the beach access road and it wasn’t an issue. The only issues we had was that that bathroom sink was not working and there was only a bathtub and no shower in the main bathroom off the living room. The management company was very prompt in sending someone out to assess the issue. We also didn’t see an outside shower to rinse off the sand before entering the house. Overall, we made great memories and are grateful for a cozy clean home to spend time in at PortA!

Check in: Easy, but instructions need to be updated: no lanyard by the door for bottom floor door.Complaints: AC struggles to cool down the home lower than 72, the dishwasher makes a grinding noise when running, Baseboards, bedroom rugs, and couch cushions are all dirty and just obviously not tended to.Good: The washer and dryer and microwave all work great, stocked with all the kitchen utensils and appliances you could need: blender, chopper, flatware, toaster, etc. Close to beach, pool, etc.Need improvement: (a) New (cheap) furniture: (1) the couch has some really questionable stains on the underside of the cushions and half of the couch moves apart and creates an issue with someone sitting at the seam - from an investment standpoint, even getting some cheap Ikea furniture would benefit the owners as the furniture is part of why we won't come back and (2) the queen bed is very uncomfortable, (b) Light bulbs: Half of the lights in the living room were burned out, outdoor lights burned out, and mismatched colored bulbs in bedrooms/bathroom. (c) Bedroom Rugs: Rugs had stains and it seems like better indoor/outdoor type rugs could be used that are hard to stain and easily wiped clean.It wouldn't take much to make this place feel better kept. We likely will not stay in this unit in the future as we have stayed in 2 other units in Lost Colony over the years and we have felt more 'cozy' in the others at the same price range as they felt cleaner and more upkept.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 5th year to stay here. I like the house. I like how it’s easily accessible to both Port A and Corpus. The walk to the beach is manageable. This was the first year the house was not as clean as past years. It wasn’t major but I had to sweep and clean some. While the house is fine, the interior furniture is very old and tired. No changes at all over my 5 years and this furniture is way older than that. If you are looking for a nicely decorated house with comfortable couch and chairs, the other houses in LCV are a better choice, but it’s functional. I like it enough to keep renting it. Owner just needs to update to compete with the other choices. The reservation staff is always nice and helpful.

This house is very misleading on the picture provided.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The whole bottom part of house was under construction, not just the laundry room. There is no entrance to the house at the bottom level. If you have a handicap person with you do not rent this house. Pictures were miss leading. Only one trash bag for the whole house/stay times labeled no not use owners only. House had a misty smell . No place to put your clothes for a weeks stay. House is not furnished with my kitchen stuff that you could use.
