Perfect for Two

Everything was as listed or better. Reviews talk about the road not being paved, take your time and you'll be fine, it's the desert. Fridge was smaller but big enough for 4 days of meals with a very large grocery store well within 5 minutes. There are a few houses around but the home is up high enough you can see over them and see the Catalina mountains. Go ahead and book it!There

Relaxing Getaway

Excellent all around! Clean, quiet, and wonderful location! We had everything we needed and Roger was quick to get back to us if we had any questions. Quick drive to great hiking and biking. Thank you Roger- we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Roger's place was great for us. It is clean, well stocked and comfortable. There were plenty of coffee pods and even laundry soap. The mountain views are wonderful. Highly recommended for an out of town stay.

Enjoyed my stay

This is a unique property that is clean and well designed. I enjoyed sitting on the patio(s) for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. It is located within a few hundred yards of some of the best local mountain biking and walking trails. This is a rural area that offers a great alternative to staying in Tucson. Highly recommend.

Studio Apartment

Great get away location away from city noise. Not a paved road getting close to location but our little car did ok. Its a sudio set up, not a 1 bedroom. Worked great with balconies to enjoy the view and outdoors. Bird watching was fun. Refrigerator very small if staying several days. Wish we could have made ice for drinks.

Relaxing Getaway

We stayed here for 5 days and used it as a base to visit the Greater Tuscon area. The place was very well furnished and spotless. Comfortable and cozy. It is far enough from the busy city, yet close to have everything you need nearby. We would definitely stay here again. While it does require that you drive on unpaved roads, the roads are crushed stone and in good condition.

Lovely “Treehouse”

We were visiting family in Oro Valley. This was our first time using VRBO. I had some initial questions before we arrived and Roger answered promptly. He was a great host! This little place was just what we wanted- and we enjoyed staying here. Very clean and equipped with everything we needed. It is a little tricky to get to as others have said. It’s close to some nice hiking trails. The view from the balcony was spectacular! So happy we stayed here!

Cozy and comfy

This place was perfect for what we needed. It was clean, comfortable, cozy, and quiet. We particularly enjoyed watching the wildlife including all the colorful birds and the javelina. Roger was a great host and he keeps his property up nice. The only reason I didn't give it five stars for location was because of the dusty roads to get up there and the stairs are tough on older folks. Otherwise this is a great place.

Great morning views

It's a little tricky to find the property, and the roads there are not paved, but that makes it a nice secluded spot. There is a flight of fairly steep steps to climb so be aware of that. The room itself is clean and the bed is comfortable. The kitchen has all the essentials. But the best part is the view of the mountains while we sat on the deck and drank our coffee.

Exceptional, quiet get away in desert landscape.

This was exactly what we were looking for in a several day get away in a quiet setting. The room was exceptionally clean and very well supplied, including water bottles and coffee machine cups. We enjoyed sitting on each of the two outside decks, watching 25 different birds in this desert landscape. The hosts were very pleasant. On future travels to this area we would likely return. It may be helpful to be aware that the unit is without wifi, and requires climbing 15 outside steps to access the unit.

Peaceful paradise

Gorgeous peaceful spot. Loved sitting on the porch every morning drinking coffee and watching birds. The apartment is spotless, comfortable, nicely decorated . Roger and his wife were friendly helpful and all around wonderful.

Desert Retreat

Great place to stay. Perfect for 2 people. Roomy and quiet. Desert plants and trees keep the place cool and attract local wild life. Highly recommend, would stay again.

Great View

This property is a great place to stay. It’s clean and airy with bamboo and tile flooring, and up to date fixtures along with the large windows with a view of the Catalina Mountains that you can’t get at the large developments and resorts. Two decks, one for morning coffee looking at the mountains and the other for dinner watching the javelinas . We enjoyed our stay and we want to return.

Great stay

This was so much better than the listing portrayed. Loved having two decks, the views, and the natural light coming through all the windows. Was spacious, clean and well stocked. Roger was a great host.

Peaceful and beautiful

This property is secluded but easy to find. The second story balcony allows for beautiful views of the Catalina mountains. The bed is super comfortable. Very quiet and restful place!

Lovely view

Quiet and peaceful. Coffee on the deck with such a great view and wildlife all around was a special way to start our day. Super clean and our host was awesome! A very comfy king sized bed, I slept like a babe!
