Thank you for staying with us Robert. You are welcome back anytime. We love the new wrap around porch too.
This is a very impressive house for your stay in the area. It was very clean and well stocked with pretty much everything you'll need. The owner responded quickly with any questions.I highly recommend staying here.

Thank you very much for staying with us. You were great guests! Have a wonderful year, Jaci and Dan
Overall the property was nice. My biggest complaint are the stairs leading up to the porch. They need a major update. Older people in our group tripped on them. The stair lifts are unequal. A couple are extremely high. The stairs to the upstairs of the property are difficult also.

Thank you for staying with us at our 1900’s farmhouse. We will work on the front steps next month. There are two bedrooms on first floor to accommodate elderly (our 90 year old parents stay downstairs). The original restored farmhouse stairs with bannister are manageable for fit guests.

Why they chose this property
We love East Meredith hamlet, within walking distance to a historical society, an 1800's wood mill museum and untold acres of woodland.
Antique shopping is a fun way to spend the day in the area. Check out Austin’s Auction on Tuesday evenings in the summer, A & E Thrift Shop in Emmonds, and The Marketplace on Chestnut Street in Oneonta.
What makes this property unique
There’s a lot of history in our home. We enjoy sharing it with great guests from all over the map.
One of our family tradition is quilting. All the beds have handmade quilts made by the Hillis family. The Mollie, Irene and Nellie rooms are named after 3 of the Hillis sisters. All are around 90 years old now and grew up nearby. These quilters still meet in the summer @ the house to tie quilts on quilting frames. They grew up on a dairy farm in Davenport and actually delivered milk to the Bridgehouse when they were young girls. Please enjoy the bedding and treat the quilts with care.
We recently added a front porch extension that has quickly become one of our favorite features of the property. It's the perfect place to enjoy a quiet morning coffee or unwind with a drink in the evening while taking in the peaceful surroundings.
This unique home is old and beautiful (1900, updated & renovated) with lots of history. There are books in the house available to read about the history of our community. The living room and porch extension are fun gathering places for families/friends to hang out & play games, laugh, catch up or watch internet TV. Each room has unique charm with homemade quilts and antiques.
GARBAGE; We recycle at the Bridgehouse. Please wash all glass, plastic bottles and cans. Put them in the clear garbage can marked RECYCLE near the kitchen. Cardboard gets RECYCLED and flattened in another clear garbage bag. All other garbage goes in the black can marked TRASH. Before you leave please take outside all trash and recycle to the side of the house where the big cans are. Place bags into the appropriate cans. RECYCLE is the blue can. TRASH is the black can. Garbage is picked up every Saturday.
