What a find! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week at Spruce Lake. It was beyond amazing- private property and lake with crystal clear water, meant kayaking and paddle boarding, and fishing, too. We grilled most every dinner and celebrated a family member’s birthday! Ping Pong and foosball were enjoyed by many! Each night was capped off by a roaring fire in the fire pit. Took advantage of location to go hiking and birdwatching. Being away from city lights allowed us to see the Milky Way and marvel at the wonders of our universe. Sad to pack up and leave. Can’t wait to return. Thank you, Adam.

Another Great weekend at Spruce Lake Farm

This was our 6th trip to Spruce Lake and we can't wait to go back in 2024. The property is perfectly equipped for all weather conditions plus a big kitchen great for cooking for a crowd. It's a really special place.

Great elopement stay!

The stay was wonderful. The house was great to accomodate our group of 10 adults and 2 kids. The property is gorgeous and the living spaces were perfect for fires and playing games. We had a few hiccups, including the heat not working in the basement master bedroom. Additionally, we were unable to contact the property manager, despite attempting calls and texts to the three listed numbers.

Beautiful Solitude!

This place is exactly as advertized and definitely worth coming back to. The large rustic style house is perfect for a large family vacation or an extended social gathering with plenty of room and everything you need. The property itself is gorgeous! Truly One of a Kind!

Spruce Luke Farm has become our annual family reunion spot! The house is big with space for everyone. It is perfectly situated on a beautiful private piece of land with a big deck right beside the lake with beautiful views. Wonderful place to get away and reconnect with family! Adam has been great to deal with and Heinz, the home caretaker, is also very helpful.

This is a gem! Beautiful serene surroundings with a gorgeous home ! The rooms were exactly as described, the kitchen has everything you need, we were greeted by the lovely groundskeeper (Heinz) upon arrival who shared some quaint details about the property! Best Winter Getaway!

This was absolutely one of the best experiences I've ever had with a rental property. Adam was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He mades things seamless and easy. I wanted to take my family away for a quick winter getaway and finally pulled the trigger on this beautiful property! It was like a winter wonderland. It actually ended up snowing when we were there and we just fell in love with the entire experience. Thank you for a memorable and phenomenal winter getaway! Beautiful Get-a-way

We loved staying here. It was an absolute winter wonderland, and our group is yearning to book sometime in the summer so we can experience both seasons at this luxurious farmhouse. Adam was quick to reply, and answered all my questions. The property itself was huge, the house clean, full of art and books, plenty of space for children and couples to spread out, beds were comfortable. The sixth bedroom is adorable, but not as spacious as the others so I would only plan on putting children or a single small adult in there. The toddlers we had in our crew loved playing in it. The big lux living room was our favorite room to be in, but as no tv so we brought a projector and screen and it worked out nicely. Would stay again 100%.

Amazing!!!

The property is absolutely perfect for a NY state get away. The house itself is Beautifully amd well designed, to entertain guests at an upscale level. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep. As well as plenty of room to hang out, for instance the friday night we were there it poured but we had no problem because we sat in the beautiful grand living room and watched a divine thunderstorm light up the sky and forest, epic! The giant yard with lush grass lawn leading down to the lake is perfect to play games and enjoy with the family (football, baseball, cornhole, etc). And finally the 6acre pond is a absolutely perfect place to teach a kid to fish or swim and enjoy. Not to mention hiking around the propety itself is a great experience too! Adam the owner was very nice and very easy to get in touch with! I will definitely be looking to rent this property again!

House needs attention

This property has a lot of great reviews but we were disappointed with our stay. The house needed a good scrubbing as many floors and surfaces were sticky. It was also very hot on the main floor without enough screens in the doors and windows and a few doors taped shut for some reason. The house has terrible air flow and no AC. There were also a few maintenance issues such as a broken back door which needed to be replaced and many large potholes in the driveway. We brought up some other issues with the owner and he was responsive and helpful .The place has a lot of potential but overall it needs some work to be a 10 out of 10.

A Perfect Getaway at Spruce Lake Farm

Our stay at Spruce Lake Farm was amazing. Nestled in the heart of nature, this 56-acre mountain-top log estate offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The private 7-acre lake is a stunning centerpiece, providing breathtaking views and a peaceful ambiance. The home itself is well maintained and well-appointed with everything you may need during your stay. The spacious great room with its soaring ceilings and panoramic windows was the perfect place to sit down and relax after a long day. The artwork at the location provides a source for endless conversations. The grounds are impressive, with plenty of space for outdoor activities. We enjoyed hiking, and even a bit of swimming in the lake. The setting is idyllic, with lush greenery and the occasional sighting of local wildlife. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals for our group. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the home, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, Spruce Lake Farm is a fantastic place to unwind, get away from the grind of daily life and reconnect with nature.

Beautiful property

The house is very large and with our party of 8 adults, we never once felt crowded. The view from the windows facing the lake is gorgeous and relaxing. We all enjoyed walking around the property and exploring the pine forest area. We even saw the large snapping turtle in the lower pond. The younger people used the row boat and paddle boards and most of us swam in the lake a bit. It’s so secluded and private that we never had to worry about noisy neighbors. We enjoyed the ping pong and football tables as well. We took a couple of day trips into Delhi and Hobart and we drove over to Putt Putt Van Winkle, all of which were great. We even visited Cooperstown, which was about an hour away. The kitchen is nice, but there a couple of things we didn’t find, like a baking sheet or enough storage containers for leftovers, but we made do. The weather was very hot during our stay, and without air conditioning, the house was also very hot. We could definitely have used more fans. We spent more time outside because of this, which was fine as it was nice place to be outside. We were asked to bring our own towels, which we did, but we neglected to bring wash cloths, so bring some along with you. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay. The hosts were very nice and communicative.

A Perfect Venue for a Fall Wedding

My new wife and I picked Spruce Lake Farm as the venue for our wedding over many other places that we looked at in the Catskills because of its stunning views. We could not have made a better decision. Everything from our experience with Adam, to the weather that day, to all of our vendors familiarity with the area. We had a beautiful ceremony and reception in mid september at midday on the edge of the lake. Prior to the wedding our families and friends stayed at the house for a few days and had a wonderful time relaxing and preparing for the wedding. The house, in addition to being more than enough space, is beautifully furnished, fully stocked and more than comfortable for the 12 people we had staying there. The first night we grilled out on the porch (the grill works perfectly and there is extra propane at the house). We all sat down in the dining area and had an amazing time drinking and eating as we looked out over the lake. The next morning we received our rentals from Morris Tent Rental (they come highly recommended for being very helpful, timely and friendly-I worked with Penny and Stephanie). That night we had our rehearsal dinner at Peekamoose Restaurant down in Big Indian, one of our favorite restaurants in the Catskills, ask for Marybeth. The day of the wedding went flawlessly. Our caterers (Quarter Moon Cafe) had everything they needed at the house and when we couldn't find the hose, Adam was an easy phone call away (he answered immediately). Quarter Moon Cafe was more than we could ever have imagined. Aside from the food being out-of-this-world delicious, they took care of absolutely everything with ease and expertise. Dealing with Jonah Shaw (the owner and chef at Quarter Moon Cafe, based in Delhi) was a pleasure and he went above and beyond to make sure that the wedding was easy and flawless for us, a blessing for a couple planning their own wedding. We will, most definitely, be staying at Spruce Lake Farm again. I definitely recommend it for anyone interested in a small intimate mountain wedding (ours had about 80 people). But if you just want to spend the week there for a vacation you couldn't choose a more relaxing space, with a more welcoming and accommodating host.

We've been trying to rent this property for several years for our annual hiking trip, this is our 20th year.. We finally got it, and the group was not disappointed. The place was secluded, but towns are close enough to make a short trek if we needed something. Everything is well noted in the home, and everything was provided. We had hoped to capture the peak foliage at this beautiful setting, but it was past its peak. Adam was very responsive and helpful. We usually do not stay at the same location, but we may at some point in the future as the group really loved the setting.

A perfect getaway

This was our second time renting Spruce Lake Farm, the first time with an infant. The house is so spacious and welcoming...plenty of bedrooms, and other rooms so everyone had lots of space, especially our grandson who was proudly able to crawl the length of the house! We had a great time exploring the area and supporting local farms, which allowed us to prepare some wonderful meals. The Kitchen had everything we needed. We had 2 fires in the beautiful living room fireplace; last time we also used the lakeside firepit, but the baby changed some of our plans! It was a wonderful time and perfect place for us to be with our kids and grandchild. We will be back!
