Spacious and comfortable!

My kids (10 and 14 years old) and I stayed in this apartment for 5 weeks. The best part was how spacious it was; we never felt cramped or cooped up. We saw several other rentals while we were traveling and none of them were so big. The place is also nicely decorated and comfortable. The beds were firm and comfy. The kitchen was well stocked, although some items should be replaced soon. We had to wash a lot of dishes on arrival; not everything was clean. (It was mostly that the dishwasher doesn't get everything super clean.) The appliances were a little tricky! Took time to figure everything out and we even needed some help from the host. Neighbors were pleasant. Having an elevator was wonderful! The housekeeper was really lovely, too. It's on a very quiet dead end street, very close to both Bir Hakeim and Dupleix stations. Eiffel Tower view if looked out the windows--a fun surprise. There was a problem I should note: there was broken glass in the floorboards. I cut my foot badly and lost a couple of days of the trip because I couldn't walk...then I found about 6-8 more pieces of glass in the floor. The housekeeper came and vacuumed that room, which helped, but we still found glass 2 more times. I think they really need to do a deep floor cleaning of the space to make sure it's all gone. I would hope it's not an issue for future renters! The management company was quick to respond to questions and attentive to concerns. I really loved staying here.

Great Paris stay

Spacious, great location, but...

This spacious two bedroom apartment is conveniently located with easy access to three Métro lines and several bus lines within a short walk. The great open-air Grenelle Market on Wednesdays and Sundays was a frequent destination during our five week stay. We ate in a variety of fine restaurants within a few blocks of the apartment, and had easy access to well-stocked supermarkets nearby. The apartment itself was roomy and the beds were comfortable. While the apartment was reasonably clean, there were some areas that clearly had not been attended to, and there were necessary repairs that had been either been not reported or overlooked. The kitchen and laundry appliances were generally fine (but please replace the toaster) once we learned how to use them. The manuals were available only in French, including online, and it required a bit of assistance from the rental agency for us to figure out how to use them. At the agent's direction, we replaced the broken coffee maker (that we discovered with an unfortunate mishap) and were promptly reimbursed. While we did cook breakfast most days and occasional dinners in the apartment, some of the kitchenware is worthy of replacement, especially the sauté pans. The microwave and oven cannot be used at the same time, but the way to make one or the other work was not explained. We've advised the agent of minor repairs and improvements that should be made (e.g. burnt out light bulbs), and hope that they will be done before the next occupants arrive. A particular inconvenience was the fact that only one set of keys was provided for an apartment that was intended for up to four people. We were able to get a second set of keys, but doing so required us to be present for the housekeeper's weekly arrival. Because we arrived late in the evening, we had to make a detour to pick up the keys, but for future rentals, it would be much better if the rental agent could meet the guests at the apartment upon arrival and walk through it, as we've had with other VRBO rentals. Notwithstanding the issues described here, our experience was quite satisfactory overall, and would certainly rent this or a similar apartment in Paris again. Many thanks to M. Lallier and his team for their support during our visit.
