About this property

St Elmo Getaway-Dog and Cat Friendly

The St. Elmo Abode is a recently-renovated duplex. Just minutes away from the Incline Railway, Rock City, Ruby Falls, Guild-Hardy Trails and downtown Chattanooga. Please note that this home is on a main street where traffic can be busy at times.

There are 2 rooms with queen sized beds, 1 bathroom with a tub/shower combo, stocked kitchen, and living room. Located steps away from the St. Elmo Playground. Parking is limited. No more than two cars are allow. Please don't block shared driveways.   



Please note that you may encounter insects during your stay. We have our home sprayed for pests monthly, but in the South they are just a part of the beautiful nature surrounding our home. Weather conditions also vary. Expect muddy paths after rain, occasional dust, or high humidity. If you are not familiar with these elements, we kindly ask that you consider whether this stay is the right fit for you. We want all of our guests to enjoy their stay so please keep these things in mind.

Nice place for winter getaway.

Nice place, everything was clean and checkin was easy. Loved the park across the street and nearby hiking trails. There is however a lot of traffic on this road.

Centrally located for all the local attractions. House could use a detailed cleaning, but nothing major. House was in fair shape, seems like a handyman special. Never found the laundry that was supposed to be there and never got a reply to my questions before arriving. Check in/out was simple enough and the small yard was great for the dogs.

Cute and comfortable

The location of this property was so convenient to all the attractions we wanted (less than 10 minutes to Rock City and Ruby Falls) to see as well as being close to downtown. Added bonus was that it is dog friendly

Great stay for our fur babies

This was a great location near cool restaurants and easy highway access. It gave our cats a great place to decompress between long drives. If there was anyone in the adjoining property, we never heard them. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfectly suited for our needs

It was exactly what we needed in a home away from home. We're already planning on staying here again next time we're in Chattanooga. The playground across the street was great for our 1 year old to stretch her legs too. Would recommend to a friend!

Great apartment for pets

We've stayed here twice with our dogs and are so thankful to have found a comfortable place in a nice neighborhood for traveling with pets! The only note I have is that the kitchen doesn't have a ton of supplies or a toaster, so if you're staying for longer than a day or two or if you cook a lot you end up doing dishes all the time.

Great location and cozy stay

The property was in a great location for the sites we planned to visit, literally minutes away. We were aware that the property was pet friendly which is why we chose it, however I don’t feel there was adequate cleaning prior to our arrival as there was a significant amount of pet hair on the sofa (covers) and table. The rooms were nice size and beds comfortable. Overall not a bad stay!

Christmas holiday

We were in Chattanooga to spend Christmas with our son and his girlfriend. (We had a our dog with us and they have cats.) The space was clean and very comfortable. The location was convenient.

Great location with more than enough room for 2 adults & small dog, clean rooms, and a comfortable bed. Would have liked a few more amenities/updates - firmer living room couch/chair, toaster in kitchen, and couldn't use laptop with wifi available (maybe that was my inaptitude).

Super clean!

My husband and I and my sister and her husband came to the Chattanooga area to ride the great bicycle trails. We decided rather late to stay one night so we could ride 2 days. These folks were willing to rent for one night! It was incredibly clean and they allowed us to store our bicycles in their garage. We would definitely stay again!
