We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. It was very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely views of both the ocean and the marsh from the upper deck. A fox visited the property one evening. We also saw a couple of black bears on the other side of the river. We were surprised how bad the mosquitoes were during our stay.
Comfortable, spacious, forest home.
This forest home provided our big family with plenty of room to spread out very comfortably and enjoy a quiet week's vacation. It is very remote and densely forested. If you're looking for a place to get away from it all, you'll find it here at the end of a bumpy, dirt road. Steps from the house, through the bushes and trees, you'll find unspoiled beaches where the river meets the Atlantic Ocean. There are kayaks to go out on the water while seals play around you. The sights and sounds are spectacular. To properly enjoy them, bring plenty of bug spray & long sleeves & pants, as the mosquitoes and biting flies were really bad. Water shoes would be better for kayaking than sandals too. The sounds of the waves crashing were so soothing. The owners were very responsive and helpful and the house was very well-appointed with everything we needed. Our family had a great adventure and enjoyed visiting Nova Scotia's South Shore from the comfort of this home. Thank you for the memories!
South shore paradise
Perfect place for our week long family gathering. Seconds walk to a beautiful white sand beach where we spent most days exploring, playing, and relaxing. Clam digging, kayaking, and biking rounded out our activities there. Less than 30 minutes drive to shops at Lockeport, Black Loyalists Museum in Birchtown and Kejimkujik seaside park. slept comfortably in this spacious home
