Perfect location between beach and 30A. Spacious and comfortable. The home is a little older with a bit of wear and tear, but for a very comfortable on the beach vacation near 30 A, it was perfect and we hope to stay there again

Disappointing Stay, Multiple Issues Not ResolvedWe recently stayed at Pelican Paradise with a large group (24 adults and 13 kids), and unfortunately, the experience did not match the listing or the price we paid (8,500 for 3 nights). The property is advertised to accommodate up to 37 guests with 10 bedrooms, but in reality, the layout is cottage-style rooms that are not suitable for families. It was difficult to comfortably accommodate our group, and the listing felt misleading. We also encountered several operational and maintenance issues:Towels provided were far fewer than needed for a group our sizeMost bathrooms did not have working locks, which was a major privacy concernSeveral showers did not have hot waterUnit A kitchen had a ceiling leak (we had to place buckets and covers to prevent slipping)The leak worsens when the upstairs shower is usedVent hood in Unit A was unusable due to a missing knobOne oven in Unit A did not work (made noise but did not heat, wasting our time)Both grills in Unit A and Unit B were unusable due to empty propane tanksDuring our stay, we reported these issues to customer service. While they acknowledged them, there was no resolution provided, and even a small request for a checkout extension was denied.Overall, this stay was disappointing given the price and expectations. The property has potential, but significant improvements in maintenance, accuracy of listing, and guest support are needed.

Fantastic location and beautiful house. A few minor things didn’t work in the house (like the icemaker); however, a tabletop icemaker was provided as an accommodation. The house was so gorgeous that these minor inconveniences were overlooked.

Beautiful beach house that accommodates many!

While there were a few issues with outside cleanliness (new construction was taking place immediately next door) and some of the inside amenities were not in best condition, you cannot beat the view. I would recommend this place. We had a wonderful time.

Great home for a large group, in a great location. Glorious sunrises and sunsets.

The home was a perfect setup for our large family gathering, allowing the younger adults to have one side, but with still enough space in either side to everyone to gather. The kitchens were well supplied and the beds were very comfortable. The house needs some maintenance. Once all the nearby construction is completed it will be much more appealing and peaceful.

Needs updating

We had many issues when we checked in with the condition of the house. Some things couldn’t be fixed due to needing parts, etc. However, the maintenance person was excellent. And Scenic Stays was very responsive to our requests.

Great beach access, house needs TLC

Location is great and private beach access was amazing. The house however needs maintenance. There were issues with the AC. Hot water pipes in master sink on 2nd floor would bang and randomly turn off. Neither ice maker worked. The house was not clean when we arrived - hair on the floors. Big roach problem too. Tiny washing machine that also made a ton of noise. The pool is smaller than we expected and there is not very good security around it except an old broken gate, no alarms.

November 2019 Stay

Great location and worth the stay... Overall the house was in need of repair. The ice maker under the counter and the ice maker in the refrigerator in one side did not work. There always a leak in the ceiling on one side from second floor to the first that was not insignificant. The internet was out on one side of the house and because of that none of the TVs worked on that side. The internet on the other side of the house was patchy at best. The bench going down to the beach was broken on both sides. The grills outside were in disrepair. Only one of the worked modest at best. The gas line to the other was broken. One pool was not usable without a functional pump and without a heater. They advertised a heated pool but after the fact in fine print charge you for it per day. The dryer exhaust likely needs cleaning - took numerous cycles to dry clothes. The list goes on. For what you pay to rent this on the beach I’d expect things to be in order.

Disappointed

We rented both A and B units for a large, one-time family reunion for one week (Saturday - Saturday). The location of this property was perfect! Right on the beach with chairs and umbrellas. Boogie boards were also available for our grandchildren. That was the good news. Unfortunately, we had multiple issues with the property. I didn't want to bother guest services over the weekend, so I waited until Monday morning to call. They did send a Maintenance representative out that day. Multiple issues were already known by the Maintenance technician who responded to our initial call. The broken range hood, non-functioning refrigerator ice maker, propane grill that didn't work, wrong wi-fi password given to us, etc were already known problems. (Why didn't the owners fix the problems if it was a known issue?) No remote for two of the tvs, shower knobs missing on multiple showers, bathroom lights flickering, one shower leaked out onto the bathroom floor, laundry room door handle fell off, wine coolers non-functioning, convection oven fan broke, mold in the shower, door to the pool did not lock, plus many other items. I called daily with no return calls. Finally, on the Friday before leaving, I strongly suggested that I would be leaving a negative comment online and a gentleman from ScenicStays returned the call. He was very kind and wanted to see what he could do to make it right. Obviously, it was too late to fix the items in the house. Our hope is that they act on our comments and fix these, so other clients don't have the same experience as we did.
