This is the perfect place, in a central location, to stay at while in Tucson. It is small but the perfect size for two people. I would definitely stay here again!
We couldn't have asked for a better spot to stay for our long weekend of watching softball and getting as much hiking in as we could. Super cute place inside and outside. Host was amazing with communication - went above and beyond. We arrived late and they made sure extra lights were left on and gave very specific directions so we could find the right gate and door needed. If we ever get back to Tucson we will definitely look to stay here first!
Cute property, cozy bed. It was perfect for my five day stay in Tucson. I didn’t spend a lot of time there, but it was equipped with enough for me to have breakfast in my room every day, and if I had wanted, could have cooked other things using the hot plate. a minor detail, but they did have nice toilet paper. It’s the little things the hosts were communicative and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. It would be a great location for multiple unit rental. There is a nice open space in the back with tables and a grill and seating space.
This studio was just what I needed for "working from home" while traveling through Tucson. It's small, as shown, but the desk provided me enough space to sit for meals or work from my computer. The outdoor space is well maintained and since the studio looks out into that it doesn't feel like you're in such small quarters. I made use of the outdoor grill they have as well as the small kitchenette in the home so I was able to prepare all of my meals from this studio. Janaya and Noah were very responsive with any questions I had as was Maggie who stays in the main house and helps maintain the properties. I'm looking forward to returning to this location to stay again in the coming month. I highly recommend it!
The room is definitely a bit small, but for the price and community around it it's definitely worth it! A quaint, nice, and cozy spot that's right in the middle of all Tucson has to offer, highly recommend if you're popping in for a short stay and don't spend a lot of time in the room.

About the host
Hosted by Janaya Zimner
Hello,
Me (Janaya) and my husband, Noah are two blessed peeps! We have owned this property for the last nine years and developed some skills and learned
Why they chose this property
Me and my husband own, manage, repair and absolutely love this property. This amazing lot is truly a labor of love. As you will see from the front house all the way into the courtyard and on into this unit most of the features have been hand built or welded by us. If your looking for a simple place with a great cost this is it. Tucson is known for its sun which I personally love but it is also known for its heat which is why we constructed this unit with its own covered patio and placed a shade canopy on the main courtyard connecting the homes.
What makes this property unique
What makes Peter Howell special is the age of its homes, the eccentric folks that live in them and the convenience of biking to breakfast in the morning or hiking Sabino Canyon in the afternoon. Walking distance to Black Crown Coffee, Tito and Pep, Feast, Sushi and Lucky Strike bowling alley or take a 10 minute car ride to the University.
