This four bedroom estate is bounded in the front and back by North Carolina's and South Carolina's premier lake -- Lake Wylie . The home borders Charlotte's city limits. The home has all new furniture and recent home updates. One of the finest features you will enjoy is the soft sand beach on a quiet cove in the back and from the front of the home you have a spectacular main-channel view of Lake Wylie and great sunsets.

As our guests, all occupants will have access to our prestigious Palisades Country Club with a premier Jack Nicklaus golf course at a very reduced rate. The teens and kids will want to be on our gentle sloping beach and lake all day or can spend the day on numerous water toys and floats.

The home is located on a beautiful peaceful cove on Lake Wylie. Across the lake cove from this property are wooded acres of protected land, the McDowell Nature Preserve, providing visitors with beauty and access to great shore fishing. It is easily accessible with our two-person kayak -- another amenity offered for our guest's enjoyment.

Our home is situated in the premier Riverpointe Subdivision of high-end, lake properties (only one of two Short Term Rentals in the area). The home’s east side is surrounded by windows with panoramic views of Lake Wylie. The west side (front of the house) overlooks the Lake Wylie and a marina. Facing west, you will want to spend the evenings sitting with a cool drink viewing the different dramatic sunsets.

There are chaise lounge chairs with a large umbrella for sunbathing on the beach. Overlooking the beach is a large deck/patio with premier outdoor furniture. The patio seating area encircles a gas fire-pit for the cool evenings. On the deck is a table for 6 with a large umbrella for breakfast in the morning or dinner in the evening. A natural-gas BBQ grill provides outdoor grilling options.

An additional, unmatched amenity by any vacation home in the area is, as our “resident guest,” you will have unlimited golf privileges at our exclusive Country Club which boasts a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course. For our guests, there will be NO GREENS FEES for playing golf. Savings of $120/round of golf per person. (If you desire to play golf during your stay, there is a one-time, nominal $80/person fee for the week's access to the golf resort facilities, which includes unlimited balls at the driving range, unlimited golf rounds, and access to both restaurants.

Inside our home, you will find the luxury treatments of new hardwood floors throughout the main floor and plush gray carpet in the bedrooms. The entire east-facing wall of the home from the dining area to great room and the master bedroom have large windows showcasing the home’s beach and lake view.

The fully stocked kitchen contains everything including spices that you need for those large family meals. The kitchen and great room feature an open concept. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware, spices, etc., that you will need for your stay.

The home features all new beds, luxury bedding, new towels, etc. The beds are complete with the finest sheets, pillows and comforters. We provide all bath linens, beach and bath towels, coffee filters, spices, paper towels, etc., -- just like visiting family.

A gas fireplace provides ambiance during cool evenings. Dining is on a circular glass table bounded by floor-to-ceiling south-facing and east-facing windows. Additional seating is available on dining stools on the granite island.

The home features new, warm-tone hardwood floors throughout and plush gray carpeting in the bedrooms. The main level features kitchen, dining room, great room, half bath, outside deck, and master suite. The great room has a gas fireplace and a 65 inch HDTV (4K) with a Bose Surround System. The master bedroom has a "state of the art" 65-inch LG OLEM 4K HDTV and Bose Sound Bar. The den has desk, sitting area, and a HP Laser Jet printer in case you need to do some work. We provide high-speed internet WIFI (600+ mgbts) and DirecTV throughout the home plus Netflix for your enjoyment. The spacious master bedroom has a lake view through patio-size windows/doors, a king bed, and large bathroom with jetted tub and large shower.

The second level features 3 additional bedrooms. One bedroom room has a Queen bed with great views of the lake. A second bedroom has a single-bunk bed on top and a double-bed on the bottom plus a double trundle-bed if needed. These two bedrooms share a “Jack and Jill” full bathroom with double sinks. The third bedroom has a Queen bed with a ¾ bathroom with a large custom-tiled shower. This bedroom has a 50 inch HDTV. The two bedrooms with Queen beds overlook Lake Wylie.

Also on the second level is also an entertainment/game room with a 55 inch HDTV and over-sized comfortable reclining seating couch and an arm chair recliner. An air hockey table is available for friendly competitions. There is also a stationary exercise bike for your daily exercise options.

You will love the white-sand beach! Perfect for the kids to run around and play in the sand while you watch from the deck patio. You will have access to our kayak to launch out on an adventure from the beach. We provide life vests in various sizes and numerous water toys and floats.

If you're looking for fun and adventure on the lake, you can rent a boat, jet ski or additional kayaks from nearby companies. You can also bring your boat and explore miles of Lake Wylie shoreline. Our boat ramp and dock will be made available, facilitating launch of your own or rented boat and jet skis. Reserve your jet ski or boat rental from 2 nearby marinas. (Contact us for recommended names and phone numbers of rentals providing discounts to our guests). We can work with you to have it delivered and ready for your arrival. We would then store our boat at the boat rental marina. (A nominal fee of $ 40/day is charged by a local marina to store our boat during your stay.)

Pull the kids on a two-person Captain Chair blow up raft which we make available to our guests. We have life jackets for all ages. We also provide floating mats for playing in the lake, which has a gentle slope for wading.

LOCATION: While here you will feel like you're way out in the country, but the reality is you're just 11 minutes to shopping and restaurants, 25 minutes to the airport, and just 32 minutes from Uptown Charlotte. Grocery stores are 5 minutes away. Many restaurants deliver if you do not want to go out or cook.

Venture to Carowinds Amusement Park (15 min) for a fun-filled day of roller coasters, thrill rides and much more. Spend a day in downtown Charlotte exploring the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art or the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Outdoor enthusiasts will love being close to numerous outdoor attractions including the McDowell Nature Preserve (8 min by car or 3 minutes by kayak), Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden (17 min), Seven Oaks Preserve Trail, a 2.8 mile that meanders the shoreline of Lake Wylie or US National Whitewater Center (30 mins). You can shop at the Charlotte Premium Factory Outlets (20 minutes) to fulfill your shopping therapy.

Everything in the Greater Charlotte Region is easily accessible, but you may decide to just stay and enjoy the beach and the lake. You will find this home provides you with a retreat environment for a quiet vacation, but is close enough to enjoy the hustle and bustle of all the Charlotte area has to offer.

This home is located in Charlotte near the South Carolina border and the city of Lake Wylie, SC. There are great restaurants, shopping and other amenities within a 10 minute drive. The location is very convenient, with only a 5 minute drive to Lake Wylie restaurants or 3 min in your boat or jet ski to a boat "drive in and park" restaurant on the lake - Papa Doc's Shore Club.

** Note: Our cancellation policy is more flexible and generous than any of the standard VRBO cancellation options that owners can choose from. Our rental agreement states our Cancellation Policy as:
A notice for cancellation prior to the arrival date will incur a $ 250 inconvenience cancellation fee. Cancellations prior to arrival date will receive a 100% refund If we are able to rent the home for the entire time period contracted for. All funds (minus the inconvenience cancellation fee) will be returned. If only a portion of the time is rented, the balance of the rental period will be deducted from any payments made. This cancellation policy is more generous and practical than even the 30 day cancellation version offered on a VRBO site. In 4 years of renting through VRBO, we have always been able to rent our home when given 30 days or more notice and have provided full refunds to our guests. (The policy protects us from those taking our home off the market during high demand times until they find a cheaper alternative.) Optional third-party insurance for unforeseen circumstances that require cancellation can be purchased for a nominal fee through VRBO or other entities.
