We had such a wonderful time at this house! The screened in porch is magic, so many birds to watch and lake activities to enjoy!!!The house is well appointed and the beds were super comfortable as well. Loved this rental!

The house was exactly as pictured. The hosts were super accommodating and responsive before and during our stay. We appreciated the amenities (snack basket, robes, beach towels, cooking extras, coffee supplies, hot tub, water activities, etc). The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. In February the lake activity was limited so it was perfect for enjoying the screened in porch and backyard views. Backing a boat into the driveway was a learning curve due to the decline/grade of the driveway but by day two we knew how to do it without issues. Thanks for a great getaway!

The place was fantastic! It started with great communication and had a great time. It's a nice, cozy 2 bedroom place on the waterfront with access to kayaks and canoe. Montverde is a quiet, quaint town and we rode our bikes to Willie's BBQ joint and pickleball courts. It was 10 days of bliss.

Gary and Kelly think of everything for their guests. When you walk in the door, you are immediately welcomed by a personal sign with inside info on local hotspots and attractions. Gary and Kelly are always available if you need anything and the Lakehouse was immaculate. This was our first of many visits to come.

The host was very welcoming and the cottage well appointed. The bed and pillows were excellent. Leaving us house gowns was a very nice touch and it was cooler than usual for the year after a cold front, so much appreciated. The electric fireplace was an easy ambiance maker! The amenities that were available was very nice too even though we were not able to take advantage due to the weather but so nice they were right there for use. The view was beautiful. I saw two birds I have never seen before and many I have including and up close and personal with a hawk which was awesome. There was plenty of parking and the cottage was clean.

We had a wonderful experience at this lakeside house. The paddleboards and kayaks were a real bonus, providing us with moments of relaxation and fun on the water. The location was also quite convenient, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only downside was that the TVs were a bit old. We highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic mini vacation weekend at the Buoy Bungalow! We enjoyed the quiet lake, the local attractions and the home was perfectly located close to many historical sites. We found many activities not on our itinerary which are fun for all ages. The bedrooms and bathroom were clean and stocked with all the necessities, kitchen too! The house had everything we needed!

This place was bit further from all the action of Orlando, but it worked out well for our family so we could have some down time. The beds were comfy and amenities were perfect. The owners even added in some extra touches, like s'mores stuff and robes. The swings on the dock were a great touch! Just watch the pitch on the driveway as it is easy to scrape the bottom of a car.

A Real Gem

Nothing to complain about with the rental process, communication with the owner, or the property. This was an absolutely wonderful experience. I wholeheartedly agree with the previous reviews. The property is located in a very quiet neighborhood. The lake view from the lanai and the hot tub are priceless and provide a reason to just relax and enjoy. The bungalow is very clean and we greatly appreciated the extras, such as coffee and s'more fixings. The driveway is steep, but we had no issue pulling into or backing out. It's about a 15-minute drive to a grocery store, but once you have what you need, there's little reason to go out again.

Peaceful getaway

Cute little cottage on the lake. The owners thought of everything to make our vacation comfortable and easy. Smooth check-in, great communication & fast check-out. The lake is beautiful! My favorite part of the trip were early mornings with coffee on the enclosed back porch. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Fantastic Stay!

Me and my husband needed a nice long weekend getaway and the lakehouse was perfect. Super quiet and so comfortable, and the bed and pillows are excellent! The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet so don’t come here looking to party, but come to relax. It’s stocked with everything you need and the hosts Kelly and Gary were so kind and welcoming! The only thing I would watch out for is the driveway is steep so if you’re a nervous driver, just stick to parking on the road. Willie’s Ribs which was recommended and very close to the house was excellent, and a lovely little drive to LunaSea Farms nearby lets you pet llamas and alpacas. We would absolutely stay here again and again!!

Absolutely Beautiful Lakeview Home

We loved our stay at this absolutely beautiful lakeview home! It looks exactly as pictured. The location was perfect. It's so cute, quiet, and in a walkable neighborhood.This home was also impeccably clean and well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. The lake view from this home's balcony and hot tub was absolutely breathtaking, beautiful, and serene. There was so many things that kept us entertained at this property that we never left it while vacationing there.The host (Gary and Kelly), were incredibly nice and helpful throughout our stay. They offered to allow us to check in early if needed and to checkout later if needed. We took one of their canoes on the lake and had trouble getting it back to the lakehouse after experiencing high winds. We texted Gary of our issue getting the canoe back to the property. He responded back very quickly. Gary and Kelly happily came and returned the canoe back to the property.Thanks again Gary and Kelly for being warm-hearted people and for providing a wonderful place to stay. We plan to stay at this rental again, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We moved to Florida to ski year round and have never regretted this decision. After renting for several years on local lakes to search for our dream community - we found it in Montverde! The quiet small village and lake community with surrounding hills and countryside were just what we were looking for after long work days. The hills and local bike trails are perfect for cross training. Gary is a Realtor, so he'd love to help you find YOUR dream home too!

We're health nuts! We're both dedicated to healthy living -we have to, to continue to enjoy watersking at our "advanced ages." With the recent pandemic, we strive to stay healthy not just to ski, but because we're also scuba divers. The recent virus can cause irreparable damage to lungs which will put an end to diving. So, we're striving not just to keep your stay healthy, but we're doing EVERYTHING we can to avoid getting sick ourselves. We feel relatively fortunate to live on a lake where we can easily isolate, social distance, yet have fun each day!

Hvorfor verten valgte dette overnattingsstedet

Why is this property special? Undoubtedly because of the lake, watersports and fishing - but not to discount the fact that the cottage is walking distance to Internationally acclaimed Montverde Academy and local golfing, biking, Disney/Universal etc. attractions.
Direct access to a spring-fed lake means your vacation starts in your backyard! Kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing, fishing out your backdoor. There's also world class golfing nearby as well as several new restaurants in Montverde - Cal's Kitchen (gourmet pizza), BBQ, and ice-cream shop and Blackbear - Cuban sandwiches and more! Seeing as Montverde is just a little village, we feel blessed to have so many choices. Nearby Clermont/Minneola has lakeside dining (we love the Minneola Tiki Bar for sunsets) as well as several new breweries and a couple new Mexican restaurants (we're talking old town Clermont) and of course the regular chain restaurants in the business area.

Hva gjør dette overnattingsstedet unikt?

CLEANING PROTOCOL
Owner is a Registered Nurse. This means I bring a high level of respect for antiseptic fastidiousness to cleaning our cottage for our guests: we sanitize / wipe down of ALL surfaces (since it is a small house it is easy to promise and do a real thorough cleaning) - everything you can imagine - fan pulls; hooks, blind rods, you name it; and Lysol upholstered furniture - but except for the couch and coverlets, all other fabrics are Sunbrella and safe to wipe down with disinfectant. We have sanitizing washer AND dryer - so washing all bedding each time. We have 2-3 sets of EVERYTHING - bedding, shower curtains, bathmat, shower liners --so they are washed and swapped out between guests.

NEW PROTOCOL: We used to keep tons of towels stored at the cottage (it's a lake, you'll use lots of towels). We still make sure you have plenty of towels but there's also the in-unit sanitizing washer/dryer are at your disposal to wash towels/sheets on your own between uses.
