  • Wonderful Condo

"We feel this particular unit is our second home as we have been coming back now for five years straight. What we love the most about this condo is the spectacular view; it is truly breath-taking. The unit itself is tastefully decorated and provides us with all we need to be comfortable. We always find it clean and ready to move in. Being retired, we enjoy cooking at home during our multiple month stay, and find the kitchen well supplied and easy to work in. We love to walk on the mile and a half boardwalk in the Dunes Park right below us. We have such easy access to that as well as the beach. And walking along the inlet with the lighthouse across the water is lovely as well. When we have guests, they usually walk in and exclaim, “WOW! How did you find this place?” A short walk to the Minorca marina across the street usually brings views of dolphins, beautiful sunsets (which we also enjoy from our front balcony), and an opportunity to fish or see what others are catching. We like the friendly little town of New Smyrna Beach with its quaint shops, art festivals, a variety of good restaurants, etc. In addition we have access to all the amenities of Minorca and museums, concerts, parks, etc. to be found in Volusia County and other nearby counties. It is easy and comfortable to work with the owners, as they are very responsive to any questions or concerns we may have. A recent guest sent a thank you note remarking about their “five star” stay with us. We give it five stars as well."

  • Killer view and great amenities

"The condo is well laid out and appointed and feels like "home" with a well equipped kitchen. Everything is well maintained and nicely decorated. The view to the west over the natural area is incredible and its hard to leave the balcony. It was our special spot for a morning cup of tea, a meal or a glass of wine watching the sunset. I am imagining being there right now! The complex has two swimming pools, exercise rooms, a movie room, tennis courts, a bocce court and kayaks. The beach is a short walk and is squeaky clean and full of shells and birds. A sort drive to the south (without any traffic lights!) is the Canaveral National Seashore with the longest stretch of undeveloped beach on the Eastern Seaboard. It is pure heaven. The hosts were very responsive and anticipated our needs. Oh, JB's Fish Camp is on the lagoon on the way to the the seashore and worth a visit for a meal. NSB has lots of great food options. For breakfast, we loved the Wake Up Cafe and had a very special dinner at the Spanish River Grill. Back over the causeway we had tasty beer at New Smyrna Beach Brewing while we ate a delicious sandwich we picked up nearby at Yellow Dog Eats. There is so much to do in the area and the condo is a perfect location."

  • Sea Coast Garden III, NSB

"Positives: We LOVED the location The general condo facilities (pool, community rooms, shuffleboard, etc) were clean and well maintained, although the elevators were a bit temperamental. The beach was amazing! Very clean, wide and "residential" rather than commercial. You could walk for miles in both directions, and only 1/4 mile north on the beach is nice beach restaurant/bar. Across the street are several good restaurants. New Smyrna Beach is a fun place for families or singles. Lots to offer, and convenient to other fun day trips (Daytona, St. Augustine, World Golf Hall of Fame, Titusville and Merrit Island Wildlife Refuge, Kennedy Space Center, Cassadaga, Blue Springs etc.). The rental agency, Great Ocean Condos, was really great to work with. Very responsive and professional. We'd definitely rent thru them again. Negative: While the unit itself was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, the furnishings could use some attention. The furniture on the balcony was rusted, the dining room chairs were a hazard as they would easily tip, and the King size mattress in the master bedroom was like sleeping in two hammocks. We'll definitely return to NSB, and would enjoy staying in Sea Coast Gardens again, but we still probably look for a different unit."
