It’s Easy to Get Here

Costa Rica is a 3 to 4 hour plane ride from the southern USA.
Fly into either of the Costa Rica cities of Liberia or San Jose, and then take a half day journey by car or commuter plane to San Miguel.

GETTING HERE

To get to San Miguel, fly into either Liberia, Costa Rica, or San Jose, Costa Rica. From these major cities, you will need about half a day to travel to reach San Miguel No. 2.

Suggested Itineraries

1. Fly into Liberia, Costa Rica, and rent a car at the airport. Spend the night here, and the next day begin a 2 to 3 hour drive down the Nicoya Peninsula to the city of Nicoya. At Nicoya, turn toward the ocean and drive to Samara. Stop to eat in Samara at any of the beach restaurants and check your e-mail at the Internet café. Next, drive along the coast through Carrillo, Islita, Corozalito, and then the last 4 miles to San Miguel.

2. Fly into San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, and take a cab to a local hotel to spend the night. In the morning, you could do one of the following:

a) Fly out in the A.M. via Sansa Airlines to Punta Islita airport at Corozalito, or take a later on Nature Air Airlines. In Corozalito, we can have a rental car waiting for you that will come down from Samara. Drive 4 miles to San Miguel.

b) Drive a car from San Jose to San Miguel which would take 3 to 4 hours. Take one of two routes—via ferry at Puntarenas or over the bridge to Nicoya.

Beautiful beach

We stayed at this condo for 4 days to visit the community. It's a lovely, out of the way place. The beach is long, beautiful, and clean. It's a good surfing beach sometimes too. Walking in the hills above the condos we saw howler and spider monkeys. The condo is well equipped and comfortable. Make sure to stock up on food and toiletries before arrival as stores are a ways away. The manager was very helpful as are the owners. Overall, a great vacation spot!

Nice place

We had a problem with the water, we had 1day and a half without it. The building doesn´t have elavator, and if you have to carry heavy bags is complicated. I thought the condominium has toilet paper in the bathroom and kitchen soap. The rooms are confortable, but the curtains don´t have black out. The kitchen has enough things to cook Mary and Alberto were very kind and helped us Nice view and same level as the swimming pool

Our family of six had a very nice time at San Miguel. Very quiet,pleasant, comfortable, clean and well equipped condo. The manager was helpful too. Supermarkets are 4 kms away so it is good to buy food before getting there. We would love to go back but It would be nice if there were wi fi coverage though!

Place is beautiful.

My family loves this place. It is quiet, elegant, luxurious, it has everything a first class apartment should have, it is very well equipped, the atmosphere is good, and peaceful. You can really rest from the routine, change the environment, see different things, enjoy nature at its best. From the morning monkeys in the nearby trees, to the search for food that iguanas do, this place is without a doubt the best place we have been to rest. In fact, the signal from the cell phones we carried was not optimal, so we managed to rest from social networks and the internet as well.

Ultimate relaxation

My family and I stayed in San Miguel in January. It was a very pleasant experience. Beautiful nature, amazing beach, wonderful people. This place is the ultimate relaxation getaway . Super Relaxing!

I am costarican, love my Country. I know lots of sites in Costa Rica but this is one of the most relaxing places I ever been. Very nice open beach, nice water temperature, you can watch monkeys right from the Condo Balcony. Highly recommended.

Playa San Miguel es una playa muy bonita. Cerca de otras playas igualmente lindas. El condominio muy tranquilo y muy privado y con una vista espectacular a la montaña y la playa. El lugar cuenta con todo lo necesario para pasar unas vacaciones excelentes, es justo como se ve en las fotos. Olvidamos un par de artículos y Nicole y Carlos estuvieron muy atentos a ayudarnos con el envió de los mismos. Nos encantó el lugar y sin duda volveríamos. Le doy 4 estrellas por un pequeño detalle a mejorar: se agradecería que el lugar tuviera cable tv y wifi. La cobertura telefónica y de Internet en el condominio no existe por cuestiones de cobertura de la operadora telefónica (no culpa del propietario), así que teníamos que salir por el área de la piscina para poder hablar por teléfono o tener señal 3G, de modo que tener wi-fi es más importante aún y por las noches sin duda se agradecería ver una pelicula en TV o las noticias. Pero repito, aún así volveríamos al lugar. Además hay personas a las cuales ese detalle no es inconveniente.

San Miguel 2014

We decided to take our 2014 annual vacation in the beautiful Costa Rica, and were very excited to find the San Miguel condo available. The setting was perfect! In walking distance to the beach, relaxing area with a pool and jacuzzi on the property to use if we did not want a beach experience. Beautiful hotels in driving distance when we did not feel like cooking, as well as really good local restaurants. Breathtaking scenery with howler monkeys viewed from the condo, as well as parrots and other local birds in abundance. The condo is self contained with a stocked kitchen and really well decorated bedrooms, lounge and dining area, with a patio facing the ocean..beautiful sunsets! The area is safe and corner stores are in the near vicinity should you need the extra gallon of milk or bottle of wine. We visited in September, so had a great combination of sunny and rainy weather. You do need a good vehicle to get to the condo at this time of year, but it was well worth it! I will definitely go back for a future restful vacation and give this property five stars for cleanliness, comfort and great value!

Great vacation

This is an excellent condo if you want a family or friends vacation! I was there with my family this new year and we had an excellent time! The condo is very spacious and comfy, it was very clean when we got there and includes all linens and towels. The beach is 500m away and has a lovely estuary and ocean pools where you can that wonderful baths and sun tann. The waters temperature is perfect! And the condos pool is also amazing. We are planning on going again! Fully recommended!

Live the Pura Vida

This condo truly is a gem! Centrally located on the pacific side of Península de Nicoya. Everything is done just right. You can tell right away coming up the driveway from the front gate that the property is very well maintained and secure. The condo itself is is big, with three bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen, living room and a dining room. There is a lot of room for a big family or a group of friends. My Girlfriend and I were totally blown away when we opened the front door to find that we had landed in such a beautiful home. We couldn't believe how nice it was and the fact that we were going to be using it as our base of operations for fun and adventure in the Península de Nicoya really set the theme for a perfect vacation in this wonderful country. We had so much fun spotting wildlife like Howler Monkeys, tropical birds and a dazzling array of butterflies. We often had the wide open beaches to ourselves and to top it off when we did seek out company the people of Costa Rica and even the tourista's were the best! We loved our time in Costa Rica and highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to get away from the hustle/bustle and enjoy the real Costa Rica.

Beautiful condo near peace and quiet and tranquility

Great Experience

I went with my children and parents for a week, and we lived a great experience here. The condo has everything you need and it´s beautiful. The view is expectacular, we saw the ocean, the mountains and many differents and beautiful birds. Besides the condo is next to several magnificient beaches and places we could visit. It is a real place where you can rest and enjoy.

This is the best place to stay in the area and we have stayed at most of them in the 6 previous trips down. Wake up in the morning to the calls of the Howler monkeys and beautiful birds. Best beaches in the entire area. Extremely safe area with great surf. Wonder full restaurants near by. Go Go now !

Had a wonderful carefree ...

Had a wonderful carefree holiday here from Christmas thru New Years. Lovely place, lovely facility, beautiful beaches a short walk away. We hunted for shells on the beach each day and drank plenty of cold beer and Margueritas at the local restaurants. Only sad part was having to leave!

I flew in from South Afri...

I flew in from South Africa and met family from Colorado in Atlanta and then we all flew to Costa Rica. The condo was absolutely beautiful and very well equipped and the view and surrounding bush really breathtaking. The best part was being able to lie in bed in the morning and watch the howler monkeys and birds in the trees. Having the beautiful beach a short walk from the condo was a bonus and if we weren't in the mood for the walk we could cool off in the pool. I would definitely love to go again.

We certainly had a wonder...

We certainly had a wonderful vacation in San Miguel. Your condo is truly nice, tastefull decoration and the view is breathtaking. We had a really good time there. I was surprised to see a complex of such high standards in that isolated place. This is a nice combination of a nice beach and but yet in a condo that has it all. We are actually thinking about going back later this year. Getting there is pretty rough due to the roads but once you get to San Miguel, you truly enjoy a place that still has the original flavor and not so crowed. Everything else was perfect. Our stay at this beautiful condo was very relaxing. We enjoyed the pool, the gorgeous beach, nearby restaurants, and seeing howler monkeys right off the deck! The condo itself is lovely and quite comfortable.
