I work in the media field and we love Roma and this wonderful neighbourhood, where you can enjoy the best part of the city. Gardening is my preferred hobby.
Patrizia purchased this Apartment in 1985
Why Patrizia chose Quartiere XII Gianicolense
As soon as I saw this house, it was "love at first sight". The building is ancient, but filled with sunshine. It has a fascinating garden. Located in the centre of Roma, but in a green public area, it has bus connections to the most important monuments. You are staying in the centre, but it feels like living in a small 1900s village. Nearby, a few metres away, you can enjoy 3 of Rome’s best restaurants, pastries, and bars.
What makes this Apartment unique
Tastefully furnished but in an efficient and cosy way, very bright, with a queen-size bed, and if needed a futon sofa-bed. A quiet neighbourhood surrounded by green and the outdoor markets of Roma’s centre. You will find everything you need for the toilet and the kitchen in the house.

We loved our stay at this property. The space was clean and had all the amenities. The WiFi worked great, air conditioning was very effective and the washing machine was an added bonus. The area is quiet and easy to get to by taxi.
Rome away from Rome
The apartment is quite comfortable and charming. It is now equipped with very effective air conditioning and a washing machine. There are some inconveniences (a kitchen sink that is set very low to clear the bottom of a tall window, and a shower that takes a little getting used to). However, everything works well and the bed is large and comfortable. The location is quiet, interesting and set above and apart from the city. You can walk to the Vatican across the Gianocolo getting stunning views along the way. Otherwise, you go down some stairways to Trastevere and cross the river to reach the main tourist attractions. Well worth considering if you don't need to be in the thick of things.
Beautiful neighborhood. We were familiar because we had stayed in the area previously, but Patrizia handled transportation details and questions quickly and easily. She provides a booklet with maps, restaurant recommendations, etc that include some of the best little places in non-touristy Roma. Caveat: the bathroom requires steps and you walk through the shower platform to the toilet. Those with mobility issues should be cautious but otherwise it is no problem. Garden is lovely. We will return!
We really enjoyed our stay and Patrizia was very helpful.
The fact that we were off the beaten path was nice so we could get away for the hussle and bussle of the City center.
We enjoyed the small community that Italy has to offer in this quaint neighborhood.
Everything we needed was within walking distance.
We would highly recommend you say here.
thank you .!
we are really happy to be able to help make our guests' holiday enjoyable. Patrizia
A charming house that felt like home in the beautiful Trastevere. Loved if.
Very comfortable and homely. There were some issues with wifi a couple of days but Patrizia was very helpful. She is warm and friendly. Was there to welcome us on the first day. And came to say goodbye on the last. Promptly responded to any queries and issues. Thanks so much for everything Patrizia.
A true gem - hidden off the beaten tourist path.
This property is a hidden gem! We loved the quiet street, the charming, private garden and tastefully decorated apartment. The kitchen was well stocked and we especially enjoyed the espresso coffee maker allowing for a cup of delicious espresso before we headed out the door. We choose to use public transportation and Patrizia had all the details about how to use making it very easy to for us to understand and take advantage of. The November weather was spectacular which allowed us to lounge in the garden, sip wine and snack on cheese and fruit purchased at the market just around the corner. We got lucky there wasn't any rain. Patricia's offer of car and driver for airport pickup and return was among the best decisions we made. Very professional drivers, clean cars and very prompt. Well worth the 40 Euro per trip. Patricia's homemade Limoncello was delicious! There were many restaurants and bars in the neighborhood to choose from for our meals. We loved every minute of our week and highly recommend this property to anyone who wishes to have privacy and experience the Italian life.
we are happy when our guests are happy. gianicolo garden is not big, but it is a place with the charm of ancient Rome, a green oasis in the center of Rome. come back and see us soon!
Historical neighbourhood in the centre of Roma. By bus or on foot you easily reach Trastevere, Gianicolo, St.Peter's, the Coliseum, Piazza Venezia, the centre of Roma, and much more within minutes. The shops and restaurants are a few metres away. The accommodation is located very close to the Porta Portese market and two beautiful parks, and not too far from the railway station and Trastevere either.
