Hello, My name is Andrea. I am the owner of the Flat. I live in Rome and I have a family with 2 children. I love to share my knowledge of the area and its wonderful archaeological sites and restaurants. I strive to make every guest's stay comfortable and memorable.
Andrea purchased this Apartment in 2014
Why Andrea chose Centro Storico
I really like the area. This is the only place where you can really feel the atmosphere of ancient Rome civilization, the beauty of the monuments, squares, fountains and palaces. The neighborhood also offers a range of fashionable shops and characteristic eating places, (trattorie, pizzerie, wine bars….) where typical Roman cuisine can be enjoyed. Nearby there are also pharmacies, art galleries, antique shops, book-stores, phone centres, banks with ATM machines, travel agencies, post offices, tourist information points. Supermarkets, groceries & bakeries are just around the corner and a fascinating open air fresh food market is held every morning in the medieval Campo de’Fiori square a few steps away from the apartment. The apartment is also well connected to all areas of Rome by public transportation (bus stops and taxi stands are easily accessible). The bus stop is near the corner of the building with direct links to Termini railway station, San Pietro, Coliseum, Campidoglio, Quirinale and so on..
What makes this Apartment unique
The peace and quietness - even though you are in the middle of the oldest part of Rome. Everything is within walking distance - no need for a car and you can explore the beauty of the city mostly on foot. Within walking distance, there are many historical monuments such as Piazza Navona, St. Peter's Basilica, the Pantheon, the Coliseum with the Imperial Forum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. In addition, a few steps you can lose yourself in the narrow streets of Trastevere or there may be fascinated by the open-air market in Campo dei Fiori. You can also enjoy shopping in many boutique or spend pleasant evenings in the many restaurants or pubs in the historic center.

Andrea proved to be the most gracious and accommodating host we encountered during our three-week adventure in Europe! Our family stayed in several other Vrbo properties during our journey, most of which we enjoyed, yet Andrea and his charming flat were BY FAR our favorite! From his welcoming persona, his patience with our taxi arrival mix up (ugh- yikes!), and his gracious and caring presentation of his lovely property, we could not have been more welcomed to a new city and delightful neighborhood. The accommodations left no detail lacking, from the subtle amenities included within the apartment to the invaluable neighborhood guidebook he lovingly created and shared with us (we ate at several Andrea's recommended restaurants for lunch- and for dinner as well! Sorry Rick Steves- Andrea is certainly giving you a run for your money! Lol!). The neighborhood was inviting and perfect, as it was easy to walk to or navigate to the amazing sites Rome has to offer. I cannot more highly recommend this property, Andrea as an owner, nor the amazing neighborhood the apartment is located in! Our daughters will never forget their trip to Roma- namaste Andrea! We hope to return to your charming flat and inspiring city soon!
Excellent location, helpful property manager, historic building!
The apartment was small, but had enough space and amenities for a small family or a couple. It's a little quirky, but that's what you get if you want to stay in a building built in the 1400's! It is off of a little alley next to several excellent restaurants. We felt very safe there. The sites in Rome are fairly spread out, and public transportation is not the best, but Andrea helped us arrange a driver to the airport and sent us bus schedules and stop information for visiting the Vatican.
Andrea was VERY helpful with everything! His restaurant recommendations were top-notch, he was quick to respond to any and all questions, and went above and beyond every time.
A Great Find!
This is an wonderful property! We were with our 10 year old granddaughter on her first visit to Italy. She absolutely loved this place!
Close to all major sites and transportation--and yet VERY private and quiet! All amenities one could ask for--great for families and very romantic for a couple!!
Andrea was very responsive and available throughout our visit.
He provides extensive information for local restaurants and sites.
I lived in Rome for 2 1/2 years, know the city well, and my wife and I visit often. We will be back to Andrea's soon!!
Quiet, cozy space in the middle of bustling Navona.
Andrea was a fantastic host. The apartment is clean and comfortable and as bright as could be possible in a building that originated in 1494. It remains cool despite the outdoor temperatures. The location is hard to beat, so near the Piazza Navona. We used five keys to enter and exit but the instructions were clear and it became natural in a short time. The only concern might be for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. The bedroom is in the loft, and to use either if the two bathrooms from that level you need to go up or down. The apartment itself is truly charming. We loved our stay there.
The place was very clean and perfect for our party of five. Andrea, the landlord was also very helpful. He gave us some great advice and arranged transportation for us. I
Clean And A Central Location
The location was perfect. The apartment is within walking distance of nearly everything, because it is centrally located. The furthest sights are about 20 minutes to walk. Sometimes we walked, and sometimes we took a bus, since the bus stops are close. On two of the guided tours that I went on, (and with different companies) the tour guides suggested going to a gelato place called "Frigidarium". Guess what? It's a one minute walk from our apartment! In Venice, Florence, and Rome, we had gelato at least twice daily. Of all the places, I vote Frigidarium the best. It is inexpensive, compared to most places, you get more gelato than most places, and it has the top quality type of gelato that is hard to find. (You will learn that the best gelato lays flat while on display, and has natural colors. It is not fluffed up and with lots of bright artificial colors). So the apartment is at the best location for gelato! There are two reasonably priced pizza places, each within one minute's walking time. Go to the one that will for sure have a long line. THAT one is so good! Please know that you can bypass the long line if you want pizza for "take away". Just walk past the line and place your order. Then just go back to the apartment and eat it there, drinking our own drinks. So the apartment is best for pizza! There is a dishwasher, and two bathrooms, each with a shower. The apartment, although in a decent neighborhood, is extremely secure with multiple locks, doors and gates. The owner spent a good deal of time with us describing how everything works, transportation, food and sights details, etc. The things that are most important to me are cleanliness and location. Because of both of these, I recommend this place for anyone visiting Rome!
The apartment is well connected to all areas of Rome by public transportation (bus stops and taxi stands are easily accessible). The bus stop is near the corner of the building with direct links to Termini railway station, San Pietro, Coliseum, Campidoglio, Quirinale and so on..
