Lovely small apartment located in the beating heart of the Eternal City, a charming spot for a couple who likes to spend an holiday in a comfortable and welcoming place. Child is welcoming (1) baby crib on request.
Comfortable bathroom with a shower, kitchen corner fully equiped. Conservative restoration, annual maintenance.
Second floor with the elevator stopping one flight of stair ( 8 steps) up or down the apartment floor.
Elegant and residential building, dated 1700. The whole building was a Cardinal residence and this is the noble floor.
Air condition and heating. Laundromat and luggages deposit, 2 minutes from the apartment.
The neighborhood does not need great descriptions because you will be in the heart of the city, ancient Parione district full of history. Every corner of this singular district can tell a story. Two minute walking from Piazza Navona and five from the Pantheon. Just across the Tiber river, imposing Vatican with the Basilica of San Pietro and more and more.
Family run, with years of experience.
Well connected with the public transport.

Careful cleaning and sanitation. Bed linen and towels are provided by a professional laundry. Washed at high temperature and sanitized.

Rome accommodation tax ( euro 6 guest/night- adult>10 , first 10 days) is not included in the VRBO rate. They should be paid at the check-in.
The apartment is prepared with a double bed. Please inform us in case you prefer doulbe bed + sofa bed.

Our host and the central location and the condition of the apartment. The apartment was nicely renovated. It was 20 minutes walk from Vatican City and the Heart of old Ancient Rome. L Bracier restaurant in the same building. Very good Italian food. Better than all the other restaurants we tried for lunch. So we ate there every dinner!! Very close to grocery stores and the beautiful Piaza Nuvonna. Olivia the owner was very helpful!

We had a wonderful stay, the check in was simple and the location of the apartment was fantastic. Apartment is just as shown in the pictures and list. Communication was great with our host. We would easily stay here again, and everything was simple and location is perfect to everything in Rome you will want to do. Highly recommend this apartment if its just a couple/2 people.

Rome Vacation

The location was great, a lot of restaurants, bars, shopping. The AC didn’t work the entire time of our stay. There were also only one set of towel's and no extras.

Patrick, for the benefit of future guests who wish to stay with us, is better clarify the A/C problem. There was a system malfunction - a sudden drop in voltage in the national electricity grid burned the electronic board- it unfortunately occurred suddenly as the guests who had just left, had no problems. As soon as you informed me, I called A/C customer service, but they wouldn't come until Monday. However, I suggested you to move to the apartment next door, where the air conditioning worked perfectly. You refused because you didn't want to move your things. So I proposed you leave them in the apartment where you were staying and only use the other one for sleeping and relaxing. Essentially, I offered you two apartments, but you refused. Now the A/C malfunction was of course solved . I'm sure, I worked hard to solve the problem quickly and efficiently and I don't understand why you decided to sleep without air conditioning... it is to write this comment? Regarding towel's, we give a set a guest and for 3 nights we do not change it. We are a family and we can't offer hotel service. However, asking it, we can bring some more.

Terrific place to stay, quiet and had everything we needed. Very close to Colosseum and Forum, was only a brief and pleasant walk. Good restaurants in the neighbourhood as well. Highly recommend this property, would stay here again!

If you are looking for a great place to stay in Rome that gives you access to all of the major sites as well as good food, this is it. Owner is great at responding to questions. And clear about the stairs leading to the apartment. Definitely recommend.

Most of my time, I live with my husband and our young daughter in the Roman countryside, raising organic cows and sheep and taking care of our vegetable garden and saffron field. Our farm house is well know for people who like to spend to spend time in the a peaceful and greenarea close Rome .
The Residenza Sansoni, is a delightful dwelling in Rome, completely refurbished belonged to a well-known cardinal, hundred years ago. My husbund heritates it from his family and after yers of long rentals, we decide to open our house to turists who likes to loose himself/herself in the ancient Rome atmosphere.
We grew up in Rome, we know the secret and authentic places of this city. We will guide you to discovery it but.... be careful, you will be definitively fascinated!

We spend most our free time traveling around the world! Knowing people and discover countries is the best way to increase your knowledge.

Why they chose this property

This apartment belongs to my husband family since the first years of 1900.
My husband' grandPa, Nonno Pompeo, bought this property because he felt in love with this ancient area.
We always thank him! It is fantastic to have such a wonderful apartment in the heart of Rome.

What makes this property unique

Residenza Sansoni is located close to Piazza Navona, Archeological area and Coloseum, in the historic center of Rome, west of the Pantheon. The Piazza Navona area is full of many outdoor cafes, restaurants and night clubs in the neighbourhood .
Piazza Campo Dei Fiori is very close to Residenza Sansoni. This Piazza become a popular spot for people to hang out to admire wonderful Renaissance and Baroque buildings, street artists, musicians and poets.
By day Campo de' Fiori is dominated by a world famous outdoor food market. By late afternoon a large team of street cleaners have removed any trace of the market and it becomes the lazy hangout for those having a coffee or aperitivo in one of the many outdoor bars lining the piazza. In the summer people spill out of the bars into the piazza and it has a party like atmosphere. The area always has a vibrant feel and is home to some of the best restaurants in town.
