Property was really nice , so clean and really accessible for everything ie Edinburgh, and Berwick , the only thing is there was only 4 rolls of toilet roll for 4 adults and a small amount of kitchen roll ( we had to buy some more ) apart from that this was an amazing place to stay and we will stay here again when we return in a couple of years ,

We had a wonderful time with Craig at the place in Gullane. He was extremely helpful and easy to work with. The place was in a great location and was very clean and well equipped. Would highly recommend.

Hi Lisa Thank you for your comments. I don’t generally write a response as I believe reviews should be honest and good to share your experiences with prospective guests. I would like to thank you for the lovely thank you email you sent me privately stating how much you enjoyed the house and your stay. There is a clothes horse in the entrance cupboard and also pegs for the washing line on the whirliegig in the drying green outside the back door. As my phone number is on the welcome book and very quick at dealing with any concerns, I wish you had reached out and I would have rectified immediately. Regards to bins then the council pick up once a fortnight which isn’t ideal if 6 people have a lot of recycling waste ie bottles, cans, milk cartons etc but I appreciate you bringing this to my attention and will keep an eye on it. As stated in reply to your private message of thanks, we would love to welcome you back at any time. Kind regard Craig

Wunderbarer Urlaub

Ein tolles modernes Haus mit allem Komfort. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war super. Uns hatten es besonders die Bilder und Kissen mit den Mc Coo Motiven angetan. SpülmaschinenTabs und sogar Waschmittel Pods waren vorhanden. Auch Kaffee Pads waren vorhanden. Der Strand ist nicht all zu weit und wunderschön. Wir haben uns fort sehr wohlgefühlt. PS: im Ort gibt es einen kleinen COOP Markt und einen sehr guten Imbiss in dem man alles kriegt: Fisch, Pizza, Steak….

Very pleasant place to stay

This 3 bedroom cottage with open plan living dining and kitchen space was the perfect place for me to stay and invite family members for meals and to stay occasionally. The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. I would certainly recommend and will without any doubt return.

Family long weekend

The property was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Bonus for my husband was having all the sports channels to watch the champions league final! The property is locate in a small housing estate and was easy enough to find. The weather was fantastic which made our stay even better! There isn’t a garden or outdoor space which we definitely would have used given the weather but the beach is within walking distance.

Wonderful cottage in amazing location

Very well appointed, clean and comfortable cottage conveniently located to local amenities, beach and golf courses. Craig, the owner has been very helpful throughout the check in and after. We will definitely be back.

Great house for golfing or family holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during our recent golf holiday. The house was pristine and offered loads of space for four golfers (and could accommodate more). Location-wise, the house is about perfect, with easy access to so many world class golf courses nearby. We'll definitely be back - as soon as next year and I wouldn't hesitate to return with my family. Craig, the owner, is a great and welcoming person. He responded to all queries in a quick fashion and was the consummate host. If I could offer more than 5 stars, I would. I can't wait to return.

Vill man bo fint,sova bra,ha alla bekvämligheter så välj detta hus. Är man dessutom golfare så bor du så du kan gå till 5st banor. En pub Old gentlemen och en bra italiensk resturang finns i Gullane.

Lovely, cosy house. Handy for pubs and shops. Perfect for visiting other towns in East Lothian.

The house is 'top notch'! Very well equipped, lovely bedding, very comfortable beds. Would certainly recommend.

Beautifully furnished cottage in a stunning area of Scotland. Very comfortable and TV in bathroom great fun. Coffee machine a bonus although I seemed to have spent a lot of money on the chocolate pods. Cottage in a quiet cul de sac with very friendly and helpful neighbours. Owner always on hand to deal with problems although we had none. Lots of golfing and too many courses to choose from. You can hire bikes at Archerfield wall garden. Good farm shop there as well. Easy and reasonable to get into Edinburgh by train so visited the festival. Also did a long trip out to Blair Atholl 2 hours but make sure you avoid Edinburgh rush hour. North Berwick lovely and would recommend Ice cream parlour (well deserved awards) and Zittos excellent as pasta dishes come in 3 sizes. Weather was also good but if wet cottage comfortable to stay in.

My name is Craig Wood. I have owned Gullane Steading Holiday Home since 2009 and was my home until 2015. I grew up in Aberlady, which is a small village a mere 2.5 miles from Gullane. I own a catering company called Craig Wood Catering, which provides mainly marquee weddings at our own venue, The Seton Garden. I live with my wife Lisa and our sons Josh and Clark in Aberlady. My hobbies are Golf (a must if you live in this area) and playing the bagpipes. I take great pride in everything that I do and I will always do my best to ensure that your stay is exactly what you are looking for.

Muirfield Steading is a remarkably unique converted Steading (or barn) which is approximatly 30 years old. It still has the old stone facings on the outside and remarkably modern on the inside. It has been finished to a very high standard of which I am sure you will enjoy as much as I have for so many years. It's location on the edge of the famous village of Gullane, makes it far enough away from any noise but close enough to walk to all that the village has to offer, including bars, restaurants, shops, coffee shops, Golf courses, beach etc

Definitely the old stone building, with open plan, spacious living area to enjoy everyones company whilst watching television, dining, cooking or simply reading a magazine after a hard days activities.
