About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Wanna get away? Look no further! This adorable 2 bedroom / 2 bath condo will provide the perfect spot for your beach vacation in Seagrove/Santa Rosa/Seaside.

With our bright decor and a view of the gorgeous pool (one of the largest in the Seagrove area - see picture), you'll love every minute here. We are on the ground floor which is perfect for dogs, kids, and those people who no longer care for stairs.

We are conveniently located in close proximity to several shops and restaurants. Café 30A is only 100 yards away and you will love picking up fresh steamed shrimp and crabcakes from Goatfeathers II on your way back from the beach. We are only a short walk to the shops of Seagrove and a short bike ride from Seaside or Eastern Lake.

For those who can't be away from their technology, we offer wireless internet, DVD's, and HD TV's in the master bedroom and living room.

Seagrove Beach is a great vacation spot for everyone - adults and kids! The beach is gorgeous (access is just a short walk.) The waters are typically emerald green or light blue and the sand is like fine white powder. Aside from walking on the beach or playing in the pool, Seagrove offers lots of activities including biking, kayaking, shopping, outdoor plays, golf, deep sea fishing and wonderful local restaurants.

There is a bike path that runs the length of beach road Hwy 30A so we always enjoy biking to Seaside to catch a sunset at Bud and Alley's or to let the kids play in the grass in the town square.

Small dogs welcome. NO smoking!

About Matt West

We are a small family living in Atlanta. We are avid Crimson Tide fans and 'no' we did not buy this place because it has 'Rollin Tides' in the name.

(Though it did not hurt)

Matt West purchased this condo in 2004

Why Matt West chose Beaches of South Walton

We chose to buy here because we wanted the old school beach feel and are not interested in the noise and hassle that comes with the high rise beach communities.

The Seagrove/Seaside area has something for everyone. From our complex, it is an easy walk to a laid back café or you can head out and choose from several fine high end restaurants in the area.

If the kids need a change from the beach, we are only a short ride to Destin or Panama City Beach where you can hit the waterparks and recreational activities.

It is the best of both worlds in our opinion.

What makes this condo unique

The prettiest white sand beaches in the country!

The condo was in good, inviting condition. There was plenty of room for five adults.

  • 4 of 5

Nice vacation stay, plenty of room for 5 adults. The guest bed was comfortable for one. Room opened to the pool and the weather was great.

We had a relaxing time, took walks, sat around the pool, watched TV and played cards. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing.

Now for the negative: The beach is across the highway and we never did find a public access but were able to use friends beach were they were staying. There was no wooden rack to dry suits so we had to hang over back of chairs that were provided. Sorry to say the washer was not working properly, it did not spin the water out so it took a long time to dry even a pillow case. We did not do any laundry upon leaving. There were no sheets for the pull out sofa, lots of blankets but no sheets. Most of our meals were eaten out so on the last day we found dishes in the D/W from previous guest.

All in all we had a good time and enjoyed our vacation.

Owner's Response: I wish this renter would have called us or let me know about their difficulties with the washer/dryer. In the past, it has only had problems when it is overloaded. I asked the next guest to check on it to see if it was not working. They said it is working fine so I am not sure what happened. There are two beach accesses within 200-300 yards from the complex. One is across from the Café 30A and the other is behind the One Seagrove Place building. If you are concerned about the access and how far, you can see them on Google Maps.

Cute condo with a nice pool & good location

  • 4 of 5

We had a great week in Seagrove Beach. The condo was very clean and tastefully decorated. We had a problem with the air conditioning and had to call the owner but he called a repairman and had it going again in a short while. We walked to the beach some but decided it was much easier to drive to the public beach access with parking & bathrooms. It was nice going on vacation after school had started back. We had no wait at restaurants and much less traffic. I love the beaches on 30A, each area has it's own unique charm. If only someone would open up an inexpensive restaurant. Who wants to cook on vacation?

Great vacation spot in Seagrove!

  • 4 of 5

This was our first experience staying in Seagrove, and we absolutely loved it. Plenty of room for two couples or a family of 4-6. Easy access to the pool, which is right next to the condo. The space was clean when we found it, and it was everything we needed to enjoy a week at the beach!

Cute lil condo.......dog owners please read

  • 3 of 5

We loved this condo!!!!! It's tastefully decorated with just a short walk to the beach. If you bring paddleboard's then the beach access at One Seagrove is the easiest. During our stay, early paddling from 8-12 was the best. We saw sharks, dolphins, and a lot of fish. If you do not own a board, there are several places that you can rent a board or kayak.

We didn't go out much, we mainly cooked in the condo. But everyone we met loved Goatfeathers, Angelina's, and the Donut Hole all are very close to the condo. If you love Mexican, there is a great Mexican restaurant La Cocina in the cute shops at Rosemary beach. We did venture out for that meal.

We are 2 teachers and one mom that traveled with a minature dachshund. I have been using VRBO to travel with my dog for over 8 years but from this point forward, I will let the owners know about every stain, missed objects that could have injured my dog, and we will make a video or pictures before we leave.

When we got back home from our wonderful trip, I received an email from Matt that we were irresponsible dog owners and dog urine was everywhere. My jaw hit the floor because I am far from a bad dog owner. I know he is just going by what his cleaning crew found or said. My dog is old and very short. She cannot get on furniture mainly bc she can't jump that high. He said we left urine on the walls, rug, and comforter. Now, my girl did have an accident and I told him that and I cleaned it up. I thought that is what the pet fee covered. The only thing I can figure is that the crew came in after we left and the rug may have been wet but from rainwater not urine. It rained so hard while we were loading, I am just glad I loaded the larger things Friday night.

I would have given the unit a 5 but the way the dog situation was handled has really bothered me. This is a really nice condo, pool, and it's in a great location. I loved being on the first floor it was very convenient when my dog needed to go out.

Owner's Response: Her dog peed on the carpet, furniture, and walls but I am mostly upset that I trusted her and did not add a security deposit to cover the expense of cleaning up after their visit. That will not happen again. Also, if you are a dog owner that cannot control your pet, please look elsewhere for lodging.

Car: not necessary

We love it here because Hwy 30A is a series of beach communities that do not allow high rises or commercial business so it retains an old school beach feel that is pedestrian and bicycle friendly. Seaside is very close and is a unique planned community on the beach with picturesque buildings and a town square with a pavilion for plays and events. It is the kind of place you just let the kids run around while you soak in the beauty.
