Guestbook comments from the manager

If you are looking for an expensive unit with all the amenities and phenomenal beach, this is the place for you. It was right on the bus line, so if we wanted to go to the boardwalk (Malecon), Old town, or the Marina, it was only 10 or 15 minutes away and only 6 pesos each. Never felt like there was a safety issue of any kind. The front desk was extremely helpful. We were able to book our excursions on Pegaso whale watch sailing and LaVista Canopy zipline thru Enrico on site and highly recommend both. Sariano grocery store is within walking distance so we had our fresh coffee and margaritas on hand. Thanks again Jeff for the recommendations to go to Cheeky Monkey and Victors; both were excellent and extremely reasonable. We also found a cute place by the closest Starbucks, but can't remember the name, the swordfish was to die for and the service was the best we experienced in PV. Los Palamos on the Malecon had a great view of the boardwalk and bay; another great local fish and traditional mexican dish. We had a marvelous time and the weather was perfect.

Again, thanks for a wonderful and economical vacation. We will definitely send friends your way if they are going to PV.

Needs some love

  • 2 of 5

We decided to book a trip to PV during the holidays at the last minute. This was one of the only places still left and at the price we paid, we quickly realized why it was available.

While the hotel side of the resort is being updated, the condo side of the the resort has seen better days and seems untouched. We usually go to the store to supplement meals between dining out but the kitchen was not inviting. The cutting board was gross. (which explains why there were cut marks on the countertop) There was no hot water at the kitchen sink which made it tough to wash the dishes and might explain why some of the dishes were dirty. There wasn't even salt. We ended up dining out for almost every meal.

The lack of hot water was a theme. When we arrived there was no hot water in the shower. We contacted the property manager. We also informed the condo at the front desk. The on-location property manager never responded but the next time we went to use the shower it had hot water, unfortunately that was the only time. For some odd reason the bathroom sink had hot water - scalding hot. (We brought that water in to the kitchen sink to rinse the dishes that we did use)

The AC vent in the bedroom was disgusting - the black dust stuck to the vent deterred us from turning it on. Opening the slider would have been sufficient but the resort was constantly doing work around the pool that made a tremendous amount of noise. (Not just construction: breaking down a stage after a party at midnight and then dragging every table and lawn chair around the pool off the deck at 6am a few days later.)

There were 2 rolls of wet carpet sitting in sacks in the bedroom... just molding away.

The description of the amenities listed for this condo are for people who pay the $55 all inclusive fee. Otherwise you may NOT use the tennis courts, restaurants or kayaks. You can't even pay for a cup of coffee. In order to get a chair by the pool, you have to go out early and put a towel down because everyone saves their chairs. If you do get a spot, you are not able to pay for food or drink. We ended up going to the resort and the mall next door for coffee and never got a chance to sit by the pool.

We still had a great time in PV and fortunately we did not spend much time at the resort or the room. The time we did spend was sleeping and the bed was pretty darn comfortable. I'm giving 2 stars for the bed and location.

Amazing Quaint Condo

  • 5 of 5

My fiancé and I recently traveled to Puerto Vallarta an we had an absolutely great stay! The owner was amazing as we only book a week prior to our stay and it was so nice not to have to worry about anything. The property its a minutes walk to the beach and well as the pool which was very relaxing especially with the swim up bar, only thing that was a little disappointing was the pool closed at 8pm every night and being on vacation would of been great if it was open later. Other than that I loved the friendly staff and the environment! I love the option to have all inclusive one day and not the next it defintely help those that come and are running on a budget! Downtown and old are VERY close an very convenient definitely something to do with your significant other or even just a couple friends!

Good holiday

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived in Puerto Vallarta, we found everything as described in your material. The condo was fairly well equipped, although we would have preferred a toaster oven rather than just a toaster. Eating utensils were very basic while dishes and cooking pots were plentiful. We were aware before we came that it would not be quite like home!! When we discovered a small problem with the bathroom tap, I called Hector and we arranged for him to come the following day. He came when promised and the repair was done. We never did have hot water during our stay, lukewarm was the best it got. The cleaning person was also very good but I think we left things in good shape each time we knew she was coming as well. From the balcony we were able to enjoy sea views and fireworks each night. We had no problems with the hotel and were able to use all their facilities including the laundry room. They were occasionally short of lounge chairs in the beach shady area. The unit was best suited for two as the sofa in the living room was not too comfortable for sleeping adults.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

We were able to stay at Jeff's condo for four nights. He was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions I had. The casa was very clean and tastefully decorated. The best part is it was right on the beach! We had a lot of fun staying here. Thanks for everything Jeff!

Very nice

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in this unit at the Holiday Inn and really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very large, extreamly clean, and offered everything we needed. I would give the room 5 starts if it had a view of the ocean (which we knew it didn't have), but other than that everything was perfect. We still enjoyed our patio though overlooking the hotel entrance.

The resort is in a good location, a 45 minute walk to downtown PV, a short bus ride or $6 (US/CDN)cab ride, all of which you can catch at the hotel gate. The pool area was nice, and offered the basics, including free coffee every morning. We didn't eat at the resort restaurants, so I can't comment on the food.

If you are looking at doing any tours in PV, we had an awesome kayaking and snorkelling experience with JC from, ECO Tours.

Jeff was great to deal with, he made sure we were looked after, and even called us when we arrived to see how everything was. The unit was missing a hair dryer at first, but he had one there for us within an hour or so.

Owner's Response: **This review says there isn't a view - but there is a lovely view that you can see from the photos. This may be an older review for a different condo - not sure - but there is a nice balcony that faces the ocean.**

Excellent for the price!

  • 5 of 5

Thanks Jeff for working with us on such short notice for our stay at Casa Bilotta. It was perfect for our PV stay. Although it didn't have an ocean view, it was great having the small balcony overlooking the entrance - great for cab access! The condo had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.
