  • fantastic

"Staying in this unit was a real delight. The unit itself is quite large. When opening up the sliding doors it actually almost doubles your living space. The decor is very light and spacious. I'd say nicest condo I've ever stayed in. You have an unobstructed view of ocean. The facility itself is fantastic. There is a sky bar lounge on roof with infiniti edge pool. There is also another pool on the ground. The building also has 2 bars. Even thought the property is first class the prices for cocktails and food are outrageously cheap.A 90 minute massage is $25 dollars and terrific. Margaritas are $2 dollars and cosmo $3 dollars. The host are fantastic and very easy to work with. We only stay at 5 star hotels and this facility is just that. Keep in mind this is a condo complex so service is not the same as staying at a 4 seasons. One other thing the maid who comes everyday does a terrific job. The host really go out of there way to make sure you are well taken care of. The host are the best. You are a 10 minute walk to all the action and shopping."

  • Loved It!

"For two retired couples this condo was perfect. Its large size is one of its best points. Another special feature is the kind housekeeper who visits 6 days a week to empty the trash and keep the floors clean. The location is great because, while it is not right in the middle of the noise and activity of PV's romantic zone, it is a short walk to get there. It's an even shorter walk to the beach. (Note: be prepared for stairs and cobble streets in this area!) The furnishings are really very nice, too. The art and pottery are first quality, just what you'd expect form a "real" condo. Security is excellent, too, in terms of gates and locks. The owner is wonderful. He seems 100% committed to making sure the condo is in top condition. My highest recommendation."

  • Spectacular PV Vacation at Villa Bahia Azul

"Gotta start by saying we splurged on this trip, but it was worth every penny. Villa Bahia Azul is one of the most spectacular homes I've ever seen. The setting is to die for. Right on the ocean, about a 5 minute walk from Old Town (over a rocky area on the beach - otherwise about a 10 minute drive). The house is four stories (with elevator), with a different view from every balcony. The main living area is on the bottom floor. It's huge. The pictures on the website are quite good and will give you a very good idea of what this place is like, but you have to experience it for yourself. Open to the pool. Glass everywhere. We had 10 guests and there was plenty of space for everyone. Four bedrooms on the 2nd floor, each with en-suite bath and shower. The Master Bedroom takes up the entire third floor, and up top is a rooftop terrace and glass-enclosed garage. Everything is clean and new. Soft product is also great. Comfortable beds and other furnishings. Very well-appointed. But that's only half the story. The other - and frankly best - part of VBA is the staff. Raul is the house manager. He works tirelessly from first thing in the morning until after dark. Arranging menus (with Chef Goya - more on her later), calling for taxis, setting up in-house massages. He also makes a pretty mean margarita - only the real thing - no margarita mix ("that's for gringos"). Raul and the staff are there to serve the guests. It took a couple days for us to "let go" and let them do their thing, but once we did there was no looking back. While our family enjoys cooking and thought we'd do most of our own, as we have on other trips, after the first mean Goya prepared for us, we were hooked. Whatever we wanted, however we wanted it. We had one meal at a restaurant in town, but Goya's cooking was so far superior, we ate at home for the rest of the trip. There are two full-time maids and a night security guy who keep the house clean and in working order. I can't say enough about them. They made this a truly memorable vacation. One more note -- Jason Holmes, the owner, was also incredibly easy to deal with (via email). He always replied quickly and directly. I would highly recommend Via Bahia Azul to anyone looking for an awesome holiday in Puerto Vallarta!"
