High Road House - Historical Old Bisbee - Grand View

Bedrooms 1
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

House, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

If you are interested in our property we thank you. Our house is located directly above downtown a 5 minute walk down steps, close to restaurants and historic saloons, but in a quiet neighborhood. Here is our suggestions: don't press the request to book tab. Press the ask owner a question tab, so you can tell me if the house is suitable for you and then we can proceed with the booking.Bisbee, especially High Road has narrow roads and stairways. You can avoid misunderstands by starting a dialogue. There are 20 steps down to the house and a clawfoot tub/ shower, so you must step over and into. There is good parking on the road above the house.

High Road House sits on the highest street above downtown Old Bisbee with great views of the Mule Mountains and into the mountains of Mexico.

It is an early 1900's miner's home that has been adapted to expose optimal light and space. Walking trails through a mountain oak hillside begin directly above the house. The house is comfortable, quiet, and private.

The house includes a secluded veranda, queen-size bed, a loft with a queen mattress, a full kitchen, and a bathroom with claw-foot tub that you step over and into to shower. Original Bisbee art and murals by local artists and wildlife sculptures create an ambiance unique to Bisbee's art community. The house sits on the Rose Stairs, part of the Bisbee 1000. The stairway leads to the downtown area, stores, art galleries and restaurants. There is off street parking above the house and 20 steps down a stairway into the house.

Breathtaking views, well stocked kitchen, very warm and welcoming environment!

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic get-a-way on the hill! Very welcoming as you enter and surpassed all of our expectations. No finer panoramic view is available and we enjoyed meeting the neighborhood people using the steps to Bisbee every day. Helen and Tom were wonderful hosts. You can tell they love their business by the way they keep up House on the Hill with the details and especially leaving us delicious treats for breakfast; especially the orange jujce! We would recommend this rental to anyone that wants to feel part of the neighborhood and on top of the world! Thanks Helen and Tom1

Awesome funky Bisbee house

  • 4 of 5

We loved our stay at the High Road house in Bisbee! Waking up to the amazing sunrises from the large windows overlooking all of old Bisbee is spectacular. The High Road House is a funky awesome place that exemplifies Bisbee with style. Loved the bread and muffins, and the use of a washer and dryer while traveling. Our only complaint would be too soft of a bed, but we plan to return in the future. Helen, the owner, is very sweet and made sure our stay was pleasant.

Owner's Response: The mattress is a new firm pillow top. We loved having a family with a four -year -old boy stay at the house. He signed his name so beautifully in our guest book, and we look forward to the family's return.

Wonderful cottage near town

  • 4 of 5

Ideal cottage for one or two couples, or couple with 2 children. Single bathroom. Well appointed, comfortable accomodations, close to town and great view, especially beautiful sunrises, nice outdoor sitting area out back. Cottage has old Bisbee charm with many modern conveniences. Great location for visiting many attractions in the Bisbee area. Small backpack is handy for hiking into town. Thanks for your hospitality Helen and Tom!

Sooooo relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We woke up each morning to the most amazing sunrises and settled in at night to the most amazing sunsets. It was quiet, clean and perfectly located. A few minute walk down to the town center. Our hosts thought of everything from binoculars to shampoo. Plush towels, comfy bed, lovely pillows and blankets to curl up in on the couch. We easily tucked into a couple of the many interesting books on the shelves. We would go back in a heartbeat and have nothing negative at all to say. Enjoyed the mine tour (you can easily walk to it) and the mine museum. Highly recommend the Coronado Cave and Ramsey Canyon. Thank you!!!
