About Brenda and Paul Murphy
We are a growing family living in the Seattle area. We love VRBO and have had great experiences! We enjoy traveling and think vacation rentals are a great alternative to hotels. Our style of travel ranges from camping to vacation rentals to finding fun boutique hotels to spoil ourselves every now and again. We enjoy hiking and checking out local eats. Paul and Brenda have travelled separately and together. We each spent a year studying abroad in college (Seville, Spain and Florence, Italy). Paul has lived in all four corners of the US, as well as, a few years in Mexico City, MX, while Brenda has spent the majority of her life in the wonderful Pacific Northwest. As far as hosts, we are pretty hands off (since we live in Seattle!) but are happy to answer any questions and give suggestions for things to do in and around Bisbee. Paul's mom, Cathy, is a local artist and is a wealth of knowledge. She has lived mainly in Bisbee for the past 40 years. Her work and contact info can be found at Paul and Brenda have traveled both separately and together and plan to instill a love of travel in their children over the years. Paul went to Washington State University, studied abroad in Seville, Spain, and received a degree in Communications. He now works as a Marketing Director in Family Entertainment. Brenda attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, studied abroad in Florence, Italy, and obtained a degree in Special Education. She taught for 8 years and currently manages their vacation rentals and spends the days with their spunky daughter (who will be a big sister in February 2016)!

Why Brenda and Paul Murphy chose Bisbee
Paul spent many summers running amok in the town of Bisbee. With his mother still residing there, Bisbee is a wonderful place for them to escape the bigger city. Bisbee is such a charming and fun place with the option to explore and adventure or just sit back and relax.

Pleasant, comfortable, homey
Great location in Bisbee, easy walk into town, stairs conveniently located out the back door. Washer/dryer, well appointed kitchen, nice towels, comfortable and very Bisbee-esque.
Terrific view off the deck. Getting in and out of the parking area takes some practice.
Only concern are the stairs going to bedrooms are on the steep side. Not a problem for us, but they do command respect. They may pose problem if unsteady, or bad knees.
Bathroom is downstairs, so using these stairs after hours is something to be prepared for.
Charming house, Absolutely stunning views, walking distance to anywhere in downtown! We Loved It!
Great value for an authentic feel during your stay in Bisbee! You can take a step back to a simpler time! Charming house, Absolutely stunning views, walking distance to anywhere in downtown! Our hosts were gracious and friendly! We Loved It!
Location is good and the view was nice if you can see it with overgrown trees. House not well kept.
Says sleeps 6, it doesn't. I slept on floor. Carpet very dirty. Kitchen not well stocked, no drinking glasses or enough silverware. No ice cube trays to make ice for tea and such. Chairs on deck broken. Couldn't get TV to work and no instructions anywhere. For the price, not well maintained. I was even asked to strip the beds and wash the sheets and towels before leaving. We always leave the properties neat and clean, but not responsible for doing the laundry. I will not stay there again but leave it up to future visitors if they wish to rent the property. It is great they allow you to bring your pet. I thank them for leaving drinking water jug.
LeAnna, we are sorry our house didn't serve your group well. We have since corrected the misinformation on the listing details and also had the carpets cleaned and the yard growth cut back this week (it had actually been scheduled but not completed before your stay, unfortunately). Thank you for all your feedback. We will be addressing all issues for our future guests.
Exactly as advertised
Very nice home in historic Bisbee
Comfortable, felt like home
I loved staying here. The house was quaint and comfortable. Will definitely return.
Stepping back in time!
It was a little hard to find initially, but the home was very quaint. We enjoyed having the space to ourselves, with the option to go out to eat or eat in. The deck outside gave us a wonderful view of the city. The bedrooms were upstairs with an adjourning door, that made it easy to enjoy our time together upstairs also.We were close enough to town to walk, which we did. My only complaints would be that it was difficult to park in driveway and the TV only worked 1 out the 4 days we were there. I like to look at the news in the morning.
