Located on the fourth floor of a late 19th century elegant building with elevator, the 122 sq meters apartment is fully refurbished and well designed and consists of a living room, a dining area with a large table which can easily accommodate up to 8 people, two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, one with shower and the other with bathtub and shower, a fully equipped kitchen. All rooms are very spacious with lots of natural light and all provided with air conditioning. The master bedroom, so called the "Blue Room", has a private bathroom, a king size bed and a single bed, the second bedroom, the "Green Room" has a king size bed and a single bed. The living room has a comfortable sofa which can be turned into a double bed. The apartment is recommended for 6 people but can comfortably host up to 8 guests at an additional cost and upon request.
The apartment is located in the oldest part of Florence, a few steps from the Duomo and Repubblica square.
The Duomo has always been the heart of the city, the religious centre as well as the stage for most of the city's events such as " The Scoppio del Carro " on Easter Sunday and St. John's day celebration on june 24. ( Florence's patron saint ). The Piazza del Duomo is a must see in Florence and a perfect start for a visit through the history and art of the vibrant city centre. The cathedral and its Brunelleschi's dome, the baptistery, the Giotto's bell tower and the Museo of The Opera del Duomo stand all in the square with their shiny polychromatic marbles and overwhelming architecture. The nearby Piazza della Repubblica, which was the Roman Forum of the old Florentia, is nowadays, with its 19th century look, the square of the oldest cafes of Florence such as Gilli Cafè founded in 1733.
Within a 10 minutes walk you can reach the Accademia, home of the worldwide famous David by Michelangelo and the Uffizi Gallery which hosts the largest renaissance paintings' collection in the world. You can take a nice stroll through the nearby district of San Lorenzo and reach the " Mercato Centrale " to taste delicious food, experience local flavours and enjoy the market atmosphere.

C2 bus connects the train station to the apartment (stop: ROMA DUOMO, 100 mt)
C4 bus connects the apartment to Santa Maria Novella station.

If you arrive in Florence by car, we would like to remind you that the most part of Florence city center is a traffic limited area which means that there are many restrictions and limitations for those who are not residents. Do not hesitate to contact us for further info on private parking. There are several private guarded garages nearby the train station of SMN and the apartment.
