Wonderful stay!

This is a wonderful location! Close to the action (walking distance) but not in the middle of everything so it the perfect location to relax. The description is spot on, and I would absolutely stay here again.

Great location and great house

Great location, was a little off on distance to beach, it says 700 yards but you have to walk awhile to get to a beach access. But other than that it was great!

Great location

We absolutely loved this rental! The house was clean and the location is great!! They had all the kitchen ware you will need during your stay. My kids loved the bikes that were provided with the property. There were even beach chairs and beach cart. I would absolutely rent this property again. Santa Rosa beach is beautiful and relaxing!!

Cute Home in awesome location

This is a very spacious home that is super close to everything. Our family really enjoyed riding the bicycles that were provided as well as the Yahtzee game. Weather was amazing so we walked to local brewery, restaurants and ice cream shops. The beds were very comfortable and overall our family had a nice relaxing weekend over the Christmas holidays. Only recommendation would be the overall supplies. Like noted in other reviews there is NOTHING provided. Just make sure that you are bringing coffee filters, extra toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags and beach towels. Although it didn't change my review because I knew this going in based off other reviews, as a VRBO host myself it is always nice to have the extra things provided.

Ive stayed in dozens of vacation rentals. This one was a little disappointing. Cockroaches downstairs. I did receive a email that said there would be light accommodations but I didn’t expect what we walked into. One dish towel. One roll of paper towels. (7 night stay). Absolutely nothing was there for routine things. No laundry pods, no Lysol wipes, no aluminum foil, no extra trash bags, etc. No extra blanket for couch sleeping. Location and check in/check out was great, though.

Memorable Spring Break 2022

Perfect size house in perfect location. Short walk to the beach, restaurants and Gulf Place. The bike helped a lot getting around. We biked to Seaside which was great. Loved that it was not busy and trafficy around the area. Will definitely be back. We brought additional TP, paper towels, dishwasher pods. Grill could of been better. It took awhile to cook burgers and chicken due to the lack of flame the grill provided. A larger frying pan would of been great but we are do with what was available. Chihuahua Flats will forever hold great memories for our group. Would book again for sure!

Actions Speak Louder than Words

For the most part, the rental property was ok. Initial supplies were provided, linens were mostly clean, and we enjoyed riding the bikes. Unfortunately, during our first full day there, we were having lunch at the dining table and randomly a HUGE living roach fell from the air vent onto the table. Needless to say, lunch was over. So I took a picture of the roach and air vent and sent an email with pics attached- hoping to have someone come out and spray so we would make sure no other “uninvited guests” appeared. I did receive an email that evening from Stormii at RealJoy asking if it was ok to have someone come by the next day. I responded saying it was fine. But no one ever stopped by. When I emailed that evening, someone else responded saying that Stormii was out of office all day. So I asked if someone would still stop by…..I never received another response. And no one ever came by during the rest of our stay. This is really disappointing. While I completely understand that roaches will appear and it can’t always be prevented, I am incredibly disappointed in the lack of response. Actions speak louder than words. And if RealJoy doesn’t want to respond to me then you don’t want my business going forward. It is unlikely that we will be making reservation with RealJoy again. Wish it were a different experience.

Girl’s Trip

This house was perfect for our fun little getaway with our daughters. We came prepared based on previous reviews but there ended up being 2 beach chairs on the porch, salt and pepper, and a handful of dishwasher pods. Definitely bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, and beach towels. We couldn’t find a cutting board which would have been nice but other than that we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The pools were great and the beach was about a 10 minute walk. The only thing we would have changed was the temperature at night. It got very warm in the upstairs bedrooms but you can only turn down the ac to 70. Other than that it was a great spot. We would stay here again.

A LOT Left to be Desired for a Beach Vacation Property

The pros: (+) Great location with a very short walk to multiple beaches (+) Two private community pools (+) Short walk to local restaurants, coffee/donut shop, ice cream, etc. (+) Short drive/bike/golf cart ride from other 30A villages (+) All beaches along 30A are beautiful The Cons: (-) As a previous reviewer had mentioned, the place was not well cleaned, rugs were dirty and left feet filthy black/sandy (-) No beach towels or beach chairs (-) No laundry service, which is to be expected... but no laundry detergent or dryer sheets in the house (-) No salt, pepper, or cooking oil/spray (-) Minimal paper towels in the kitchen and hardly any toilet paper, only 1 or 2 rolls per bathroom with no extra supply (-) Dryer is broken and does not dry This house has a lot of potential to be a 5-star vacation stay. But it falls short in many areas that would be an easy fix, and make the consumer (who is likely flying in from a northern state with family or friends) feel like they received proper value for their stay. I'll list the pros and cons we found below. In brief, our biggest frustrations were around simple things: (1) No beach towels or beach chairs, and the VRBO listing doesn't have any details stated about this. We now know better to ask before booking, but all of our other beach stays have had this and we showed up expecting beach towels, at the very least. (2) We ran out of toilet paper on day 3, and then realized there was none more available in the house. Upon getting ahold of RealJoy, they told us the vacationer is supposed to buy their own toilet paper. After we told them this was ridiculous, they did bring us toilet paper and paper towels to help us last our stay. (3) We certainly didn't get the value of the price of the cleaning fee. (4) The dryer was broken. It got hot, but clearly wasn't venting properly to the outside and remained damp during the drying process. RealJoy stopped by and "fixed it", but it wasn't fixed and did not dry clothes. I foolishly was the dummy who tried to wash/dry clothes after they "fixed it", and ended up taking a bag of damp clothes home on the airplane. All of the cons listed above sort of piled up over the course of our stay, and left a pretty disappointing taste in our mouth. We were expecting much more when we booked, but learned we need to ask a lot more questions when listings are as vague as this one is going forward.

Perfect Location

This property was perfect for kids. However, the house was infested with fleas. We called the property manager and they came and told us that it must have been from the linens and towels that are left in the cleaners car when not being used. They did not offer to replace them and sent someone after a second phone call to fog the house. When we arrived back to the house 2 hours later, the fogs had not even been set off; it was sitting in the dining room table still full. My 3 year old son was covered in flea bites from head to toe. We spent the week flicking fleas off of ourselves when we were in the house. We were in the area prior to our check in and was given the the gate code so we could go to the pool which was really nice of the property manager to do, but we noticed that the cleaners were only in the house for 30 minutes max so the cleaning fee is a bit steep for 30 minutes of cleaning. Once we noticed that, we actually went in at check in and sprayed everything down with Lysol and wiped counters and door knobs off before bringing our kids and items into the home. This was the second time using this company and had no issues last year. We take 2 beach trips a year and would have absolutely kept using them had it not been for these things.

Great Stay!

We had a great time! Plenty of room for our family including young kids. Close walk to the beach (about 10 mins) or 2 min drive. Pretty clean house overall! We would stay here again!!
