Lo mejor de este refinado apartamento es que está idealmente ubicado, cerca del centro de Summertown, mientras se encuentra en un desarrollo muy tranquilo, a 60 metros de la carretera principal (Woodstock Road).

En el interior, el apartamento está recientemente decorado y recarpeado, con un elegante piso de madera en el amplio y luminoso salón / comedor. El salón es luminoso, con ventanas francesas orientadas al sur. La sala tiene una mesa de comedor para 6 personas, 2 sofás, una mesa de café y una cómoda con mucho espacio de almacenamiento. Si tiene ganas de relajarse después de un día de exploración, hay un nuevo televisor Sony de 40 "con suscripciones de Netflix y Amazon Instant Video y un reproductor de Blu-ray. La música también se encarga con un mini equipo de música con Bluetooth.

La cocina está bien equipada con lavavajillas, lavadora / secadora, nevera / congelador, hervidor de agua, tostadora, cafetera de filtro y horno eléctrico y fogones. También hay una buena selección de platos, vajillas, ollas y sartenes.

Todas las habitaciones dan a las canchas de tenis de Summertown (disponibles para su uso; consulte la descripción del vecindario), que es una vista maravillosa para despertarse. The property is spacious, clean and well sited near the centre of Oxford. Good public transport nearby - necessary because car entry / travel in the centre of Oxford is difficult! Journeys out of the city into Oxfordshire are easy to achieve as the apartment is next to a main route Northwards. Finally, Summertown itself is well worth visiting!

A great place to stay

The apartment is situated in a very pleasant part of Oxford and is close to transport, supermarkets and restaurants. I enjoyed staying in the apartment which was very comfortable and large enough to have my son and two grandchildren join me for a few days. Being able to watch people playing tennis on the nearby courts was an added bonus.

Fabulous apartment

We had a lovely weekend. The apartment was spotless and had comfy beds and sofas. It was well-equipped with all the essentials and more. The location was ideal. It's a 2-min walk to get the bus into town (which takes around 10 minutes). There are also several good restaurants nearby. The host, Danny, was very friendly and responsive to messages.We'll definitely stay here again when we revisit Oxford.

The property and location are good. The living area is roomy; the bedrooms are a bit cramped, but the beds and bedding are fine. It's easy to get into Oxford by public transit, and the available parking is a bonus. The major problem is the bathroom since it has inadequate ventilation and there is visible mould on the shower head holder. This means the room is damp and smelly. We were also disappointed that the travel crib and high chair had not been set up as we had requested. They were hidden away at the back of a cupboard under Christmas decorations. The high chair was filthy, and we finally found the padded base of the crib on top of a wardrobe on our last day. The owner was responsive to our requests for several missing items, but we felt that he should check that all the amenities are in place and in good shape before new renters arrive.

An Oxford Christmas

My family stayed here for a week over the Christmas holiday. We buzzed through London in four days and were thrilled to be able to slow down and relax in Oxford. The apartment provided space for all of us to spread out...very important for my two teenagers. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. And, it was well located. We were not in the bustle of the City Centre, though buses were nearby and downtown was only 10 minutes away. We could even walk if the weather was nice. Also, shopping in Summertown was very convenient, so we did not feel isolated when we returned to the flat for the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed for the occasional meals at home. And, we really appreciated the washing machine and a good shower. A very good family option. Many thanks to Danny for the hospitality.

Comfortable and well-equipped apartment north of central Oxford

My elderly mother and I had a good stay at the apartment while visiting my child at Oxford U recently. The apartment is within easy walking distance of shops in Summertown, and a bus route to the centre of Oxford. The apartment is comfortable and well-equipped with all one needs. There is no fan in the bathroom, which was a big dark and musty, but otherwise tip-top. Walls in the building are thin, but the neighbours were all quiet so that was no problem. The owner responded extremely quickly to messages - the cleaners had not advised him of certain issues, but he addressed them promptly when we did so. I find the lock box system a bit complicated/stressful, especially when leaving to get a bus to the airport, but it works well as long as you have instructions in-hand. I would recommend a sheet of instructions on how to use appliances for future visitors, especially those of us from North America not as familiar with UK appliances (e.g., the washer/dryer in-onea, what kind of soap/detergent to use in the dishwasher, etc.) :-)

Prime Location

Excellent location for exploring Oxford area being about a 30 minute walk to Oxford city center. Summertown shops and restaurants just around corner (we highly recommend Mamma Mia’s!). The apartment was clean and orderly and in a very quiet location set back from the main (Woodstock) road. Beds were comfortable but being used to a queen we found the double bed a bit narrow. The shower was excellent but the toilet flush was a bit temperamental and the bathroom sink had VERY low water pressure. Kitchen was well equipped and Dan even left us tea, coffee, milk and bread which was a lovely surprise! We were not big fans of the induction stove but others may be used to this (hot plate turns off if you maneuver the pan - a safety feature I believe but we found it frustrating to cook on). All in all we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Absolutely the best feature here was the free parking in a designated garage - parking in Oxford is non existent! Also thank you Dan for the visitor’s parking passes which allowed my brother and sister in law to visit from London for a day. We visited the Ashmolean which I also highly recommend.

Perfect loc

We loved our stay in Oxford. We were there for 3 weeks and felt very at home. Danny is beyond kind and responsive. This flat was great for my family, the kitchen is well stocked, there is a table for 6 people and a hutch. There's even a little desk for your computer. Having a washer/dryer is a life saver. The bathroom is a very nice size and the shower is large, which isn't our typical VRBO experience in the UK and Europe. Plenty of room to move around and wash your hair without banging your elbows (if you know, you know). The beds are smaller than we are used to (which we knew when booking), but VERY comfortable mattresses. Bedrooms are equipped with hampers and wardrobes/closets. The living room is spacious. There were 3 of us and we had a couple of friends over to visit and we all fit comfortably. The living room has great sofas, probably the most comfortable I've had at a VRBO. The TV is set up with all the streaming services we could ever want. The location is SUPER convenient. The street is right off Woodstock with is a main street into Oxford. The bus stop is just at the end of the driveway from the flat. We had a weekly bus pass and you can get to town in about 5 minutes by bus. Some days we just walked because it's only 2 miles to central Oxford. Around the corner and down the street is the main stretch of Summertown with tons of shops and restaurants. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely flat, very quiet.

Close to Oxford and an easy walk to groceries, we were very satisfied with this flat. Danny is a very attentive host who helped us in any way that he could. The kitchen is well-equipped, the flat is clean, quiet and comfortable. Would recommend to a family wanting a convenient launch-pad for Oxford and the surrounding area.

City break.

Easy location for getting into Oxford, good restaurants a few minutes walk away. Kitchen and bathroom have both clearly been refreshed, but decor tired in rest of flat. Comfortable beds. We felt our car was too large for the suggested parking places and may have caused obstruction, but we parked easily 2 roads away, and were out during the day. We enjoyed a day and a half in Oxford and a drive into the Cotswolds. Parking in Westgate Centre was excellent. Super meal at Quad in the covered courtyard.

Thanks for your kind review, Louise. I'm glad that you guys were able to take a drive our to the Cotswolds. With all that Oxford has to offer, people often forget that this incredible area is also right on your doorstep! I'm sorry that you felt the decor was tired. We had the place repainted throughout 18 months ago, but scuffs in the paintwork happen from time to time. While we touch these up wherever we see them, the they do sometimes get missed, and I'm sorry if you felt things didn't look as good as they could've. Schöne Wohnung in ruhiger Lage

Die Wohnung liegt in einer ruhigen Sackgasse ca. 3km vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Zur Wohnung gehört auch eine Garage, sehr angenehm in Oxford, wenn man mit dem Auto Urlaub macht. Die Wohnung ist wie beschrieben, gute Küchenausstattung, sehr gutes WLAN (wir waren zu 5 und merkten keine Einschränkungen), schönes Smart TV. Gute Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten direkt um die Ecke, nach Oxford rein kann man laufen oder den Bus nehmen - wir sind immer gelaufen, dauert ca. 35-40 min und ist ein guter Start um Oxford zu erleben. Besonders schön ist der Spaziergang am Kanal entlang. Check-in und Check-out geht schnell, durch die Verwendung einer Schlüsselbox ist man völlig unabhängig von Ankunfts- und Abfahrtzeiten. Insgesamt eine sehr empfehlenswerte Wohnung für einen entspannten Oxford Urlaub.

A nice place to stay to visit Oxford

We (family of 4) enjoyed our 3 night stay in this apartment. The place was clean and an easy distance to the bus stop. Was great to have 3 bedrooms so the kids had their own spaces. Danny (owner) was very nice and helpful.
