New pool! Steps from the beach. Nicely appointed 3 bed 2 bath kid and pet friendly home on popular West side of St. George Island. Well stocked beautiful open kitchen and living area.
Fantastic large fenced play area for kids and pets. Multiple outdoor living spaces including a firepit for campfire fun.
Easy walk to the beach or just relax and enjoy the gulf views from the covered deck. Barefeet Retreat is also a perfect location for a day of bayside fun with bay access only 2 blocks away.
Kick back and relax at Barefeet retreat where kids and our furry friends are always welcome. Pet crate and pack n play included. High chair available upon request. Pool heater available upon request for an additional $250 fee.

Great host with fast responses to questions. Pool was amazing. Very clean rooms. Very short walk to the beach. We appreciated the various gates outside; they gave us peace of mind that if our dogs did get out, they wouldn't get far. Plenty of activities in case the kids got bored (swings, cornhole, sandbox, etc.). We could have used a few more towels.

The house was super warm and inviting. I especially loved the gate system - it is perfect for kids and pets. The house sits behind some bushes and trees and that really helps you to feel isolated, while still being so close to the center of town.

The MOST dog friendly house we’ve had on the island in 25years. Owners have thoughtfully designed the outdoor play yard with double gates for easy rinse off, gated porch for safe lounging, to the dog bowls & beds inside. Beyond impressive and super clean. Perfect Vacation Home

Why they chose this property

We came to SGI for a family vacation in June of 2017. We were looking for a pet friendly beach so we could bring Annie and Oakley our Brittany spaniels. Funny story it was our 35th wedding anniversary and my husband forgot. So i teased him all week about giving me a beach house. It was one of the best family vacations I can remember. We all fell in love with the island and fortunately we were able to purchase a lot and build the beach house we have always dreamed of. We were scheduled to close the day Michael hit. Some very nervous hours but we were blessed and had no damage. Well built house! Thank you David Duncan! We have already made wonderful memories here and look forward to many years of enjoying our house with family and friend. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

We are located 2nd tier but have a very nice beach view, a short walk to the beach and a two block walk to the bay where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. The bike path is at our driveway and leads into town. Walk or ride a bike to nearby restaurants or visit lighthouse park. Bring your dog and let them enjoy a day on the beach with you. Well behaved dogs are welcome at most restaurants and bars on SGI and in nearby Apalachicola.
