If fishing is your pastime, Mirabella is the perfect home for you! A complete fish-cleaning sink and table along with a park style grill are provided for your enjoyment.

Covered parking for 4 cars protects your car from the sun, and is a lifesaver during a refreshing island rain. An outdoor shower with hot/cold water is convenient for rinsing off after a day in the sun or simply taking a shower to enjoy the fresh air.

Wonderful family getaway

We spent a wonderful Easter getaway weekend at Mirabella. The house was a sweet backdrop to our family cooking, games, swimming, and adventures on our first trip to SGI. The outdoor heated pool was perfect for a spring weekend, and we enjoyed the screened porch and easy walking distance to the beach as well (where we swam with a large sea turtle and too many dolphins to count). And we loved experiencing it all with our beach-loving Beagle and Australian Shepherd.

Glenn was super helpful with SGI tips (restaurants, seafood carts, rentals, must-see spots) and making sure our stay at Mirabella was as good as it could possibly be. A broken wifi was a challenge for working remotely, but we were satisfied that everyone did their best to fix it on a holiday weekend. The other suggestion we would have to improve upon this lovely home is a bigger, better grill with lid (we grilled at least once a day and are used to more space and control over heat and air), but we recognize that the park-style grills are customary at rentals on the island.

We are eager to get back to SGI and will seek Glenn's wonderful help and tips for our future trips. And we would definitely stay at Mirabella again in the future.

Interesting vacation with Hurricane Hermine joining us....

This home is definitely as advertised, we have been vacationing on St. George Island for over 20 years and we all agreed this has been one of our favorite homes we have stayed in. There are no surprises, everything was neat, clean and roomy. We were staying for the week and had kept a eye on the weather forecast every day, the broadcasters had no idea where this storm was going so we just enjoyed the beach and the pool. On Wednesday afternoon we were contacted that we had a mandatory evacuation and needed to leave the island immediately. The storm had turned and it appeared that it was heading straight for St. George Island. We called Glenn (manager) to discuss what we needed to do to prepare the house and if there was a possibility of us returning after the evacuation was lifted. He assured us we could return to the house and stay the remaining days left. We scrambled around with a three year old and a 11 month old and managed to pack up and get off the island in about 45 minutes. A really remarkable feat for us! Glenn suggested that we head to Port St Joe or any where up in that area to wait it out. We were very lucky that a friend offered her beach home in Port St. Joe to us as a refuge and although a lot smaller than the Mirabella, we made it work. The storm turned into a hurricane warning that night and as it was approaching our beloved St George Island it began to turn and although other area's nearby suffered some damage, the island had some flooding on the bay side and the surf came up nearly to the boardwalk, everything was a little windblown but not much damage. The bridge was deemed safe to cross and the house was just as we left it. Unfortunately, the many turtle nest on the beach that were nearly ready to hatch were wiped out, thousands of starfish were washed up on the shore, shells and seaweed had washed up to the boardwalk. The many years we have traveled to St. George Island we have never experienced a mandatory evacuation, we have been very fortunate since we usually head down at the beginning of the hurricane season. Glenn was very helpful in this situation, although we were very concerned about our safety and the rushing about to evacuate, he suggested options for our family and remained calm.

The house was a very welcome sight when we returned to enjoy the last couple of days. It was perfect for our family and we look forward to staying at the Mirabella again.

Relaxing weekend

We had a very relaxing long weekend and this house was the center of it all. Very short walk to the beach. Enjoyable bike ride to the center of the island. Property manager was great when we accidentally locked ourselves out. We will plan to stay here again.
