Blue Buoy is a freshly decorated, beachy, A-Frame retreat in the laid-back Leeward Sands neighborhood in Port Aransas that is just a 3-minute golf cart ride to the beach and in-town shops and restaurants. This pet friendly gem (with a fully enclosed yard) sleeps 8 with one king bedroom, one queen with a twin trundle, a sleeper sofa and a sleeper chair. The custom private pool with tanning ledge is equip with heating for year-round comfort and a chiller to keep it refreshingly cool in the summer heat – perfect for anglers and non-anglers alike (heat/chill being installed late April). Relax on the wraparound deck or shaded patio with charcoal grill for BBQs or post-fishing meals. The cozy living room offers a sleeper sofa and armchairs to maximize seating. Enjoy the large Smart TV for streaming your own services or select from over 100+ channels using our provider. The recently remodeled kitchen offers seating for 4 and easy access to the deck, trendy subway tile, and a coffee bar with a Keurig – unless you prefer a drip coffee maker which is also there for your use. No dishwasher – all charm. The half bath just off the living room adds convenience. Just at the top of the wood-treaded stairs are two bedrooms (one overlooking the private pool). Besides the beds, each room includes wall-mounted Smart TVs with our service provider and large closets. Between the bedrooms you'll find the shared full bathroom with a tile tub/shower. A washer and dryer is located on the ground level in the enclosed storage area. Rent a golf cart from Life in Paradise to make exploring easy and more the “Port A” way – shops, restaurants and the beach are just minutes away! The Blue Buoy is a custom beach home that checks every box for a fantastic, fun-filled Gulf Coast getaway!

A good but older property. The second floor was not level in one corner. I would think that should be addressed. The stairs to the second floor are extremely narrow and hazardous. There is a warning sign on the main floor. Not a good choice for seniors.

Nice stay overall, with a few minor problems

Nice house...very well kept, but had trouble the whole time with the wifi. Also had trouble with the lighting by the pool. There isnt a switch, only a plug that we found hidden behind a chair at the upper deck. Even at that, it was only half the lighting. No major problems though...would go back for the price.

Couldn’t find light switches easily. Stairways not well lit…lots of bulbs out. Pool was fantastic. Very clean. Furniture very vintage but mostly comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and not too far from beach. It was nice.

Needs work

The house was perfect for the 3 of us, but definitely needs some work. We did not have hot water during our stay because the hot water heater was not hooked up. Also, this is a pet friendly property, but there is NO grass in the backyard. Not a deal breaker, but my dogs would have preferred at least a small patch of grass.

Good Time

Place was a little run down, but clean. Pool was also clean and the kids loved it! Good location away from the crazy, but still close enough to get around in a golf cart. We had a good time, no major complaints.

Neat house, poor property management

My review is mostly focused on the property management. The house is fine, a bit old and some of the flooring feels like it's going to drop out from beneath you. Like a lot of reviews say the house DEFINITELY needs a deep clean! The sink faucet didn't work, only the sprayer hose, I called Life in Paradise Vacation Rentals and they told me someone would be out, they never showed. I also called about getting the pool cleaned, it was murky and needed a good vacuum, guess what? They never showed. Also, after we check in some dude shows up at 7 pm the first day and says he's just there to clean the outside? He stays for 5-10 min and leaves, didn't clean anything. I asked if he was going to clean the pool or fix the sink and he told us someone would come by shortly. For the exorbitant price per night I expected better.

Lovely home

The property was a great place to get away for the weekend. Our teen daughter was having so much fun in the pool that she didn’t even care about the beach. We chose this property because of the pool and pets policy. It was spotless, no signs of past pets. As clean as it was, it did smell like mold in the entry but I just chalk that up to the climate there. The only other thing I would like to mention is a soft spot on the floor of the kitchen. I would not hesitate to book again!
