Cozy Railway Cottage

This Cozy Railway Cottage is nestled in the tranquil rural hamlet of Rangataua which is 5 minutes from Ohakune Township/Junction and the Mountain Road. It has heaps of character and warmth with all the firewood and heating you require.Situated on the edge of the Rangataua forest walking, mountain bike tracks and a horse riding school are right on the doorstep. Full kitchen facilities,endless amounts of hot water lazy boy chairs and lots of board games for those stay at home days. Broadband fibre internet TV with Chromecast. The Large kitchen area separate lounge and a large flat sunny section make it an ideal base for families with children:

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
2 nights minimum stay.
3 nights minimum stay during Public holiday/ Mardi Gras weekends.
Prices quoted for up to 2 persons extra persons $20 per person per night.
Infants under 2 free.
Dogs by appointment only.
Porta cot and highchair available.

NOTE:
We don’t charge a cleaning fee but Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to clean and tidy the house and leave it as found ready for the next guests. $100 returnable bond is payable directly to the owner after booking.

Had a good stay. It was pretty much as advertised so we really enjoyed it. Communication with our host was excellent It does get a little cold (old style bach so is expected) but there was plenty of fire wood so we kept cosy and warm. A perfect place to stay if you like staying in a truly authentic kiwi bach! Would easily stay again.

Great, unique bach

This is our second time staying here - the kids were really little when we first stayed. Now they are both at uni. A great place for the family to hang out. Clean, comfortable, quirky and warm. We never got bored. Highly recommended!

Great base for a mountain trip.

The cottage was just what we were looking for and lived up to its description and photos. What you can't get from the listing is how great the kitchen feels when it's cold out, the fire is going and you have the whole family together there. Reading in one of the rocking chairs next to the roaring fire is time well wasted.
