About this property

Tui Glen luxury lake side apartment

Lovely spacious 2 bedroom apartment, fully self contained, renovated with high quality kitchen, bathroom and all mod cons. Sky TV 55" ..movie and sports channels
Internet available is wireless - free connection

Situated attached to our own home built over our garaging area completely private and quiet. Lock up garage own access.
Lake views from one bedroom, and views up to Mt Ngongotaha from the other, lake edge access only a few metres away. Free use of kayaks, and heated swimming pool weather dependent but usually ( mid Oct-April). Spa pool all year round. All located downstairs on our main deck overlooking the lake.
2 x city ebikes available $10 each per day, includes helmet and lock. 2 newer kayaks, and 2 older ones free of charge.
BBQ and outdoor furniture located on large deck below apartment, and front deck of our house, all can be used.
Bedrooms are at opposite ends of the lounge giving privacy to couples.

Quality linen is supplied and beds are made up for your arrival. Pantry will be stocked with basic condiments.

Full laundry is located at the bottom of the stairs, shared with owners Mike and Glendyr.

Situated only 6kms from Central city, no sulphur fumes! Handy to all tourist attractions.



Owners Mike and Glendyr live in the main house on site but will not intrude on your privacy but only to happy to help with any advice etc.. We have a young Golden Retriever and 2 cats but the apartment is kept animal free.

I am sorry but no children - adults only over 25

Special conditions: TWO NIGHT minimum stay, Maximum 4 adults, strictly no children. Smoking/vaping outside only.

The perfect host

We had a perfect stay, our host was very friendly and most helpful with local area tips. We were grateful to cool off in the swimming pool and, if you wanted, there were bikes and canoes available.

The property was beautiful, clean, and quiet. The pictures are true to the property & Glendyr couldn't have been nicer. The lake is right at the end of the property. Loved it and really a perfect central location if traveling northern New Zealand. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful location and gardens

When we pulled in a lovely golden retriever was smiling at us through the glass, wagging her tail. We had a nice stay here and enjoyed meeting the owner. We were even able to get a Gonzaga basketball game on Sky TV!

Wonderful Rental

We loved our stay at this lovely apartment. The location was beautiful and far enough away from Rotorua that you couldn't small the sulfur. The weather was rainy or else we would have taken advantage of the lake. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful lake stay

Lovely clean and well-appointed apartment with plenty of amenities, including a Nespresso machine. A comfortable stay in a quiet neighbourhood. We appreciated the use of the spa pool after a busy day. Great communication from the owner. Thank you! We would love to stay again.

Quick stay in New Zealand

We had a three nights at Glendyr and Mike’s place in Rototua. Definitely an excellent experience. The geothermal activity is great, but it stinks of SO2. This location has no smell, it is right on the lake and the pool, and hot tub overlook the lake. Thanks to Glendyr, we opted for Waikite Valley Thermal spa (no smell); also go to J’s seafood for the mixed seafood takeout. Great hosts, roomy 2 bedroom with full kitchen and family room, very comfortable beds.

Beautiful lakeside property

We really enjoyed this property, which was situated right on the lakeside with some lovely amenities and very friendly fur babies! We were doing a whirlwind tour of the area, so we didn't stay in very much and some of the normal local attractions were closed. We also had rented a car and used the provided parking, which is very helpful as the property is a 5-10 minute drive from downtown (we prefer places that are a little further from town and quieter like this one). Our host was very friendly and helpful, and gave us some great suggestions for places to go and eat in the area. I definitely highly recommend staying here!

Sehr zu empfehlen

Wir waren 7 Naechte bei Glendyr und Mark, super nette Vermieter. Glendyr stand immer mit Rat und Tat an unserer Seite. Die Unterkunft war gross und gemütlich. In der Kueche fehlte es an nichts. Sogar Kaffee und Milch waren schon vorraetig. Die Lage am Rotoruaer See ist traumhaft. Die Kanus durften wir kostenfrei benutzen. Danke an Glendyr und Mark, dass wir hier schöne Tage verbringen konnten.

Glens Lakeside

Der Aufenthalt war super angenehm und die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Wir waren für uns und konnten den Pool, den Whirlpool wie auch die Kajaks und den Grill nutzen. Es war alles vorhanden was man für den Aufenthalt wie auch fürs Kochen benötigt. Die Gastgeberin hatte auch immer gute Tips für Aktivitäten in der näheren Umgebung.
