KOEHLER KOTTAGE - Come join us in Hunt, TX on the Guadalupe River - the perfect spot to relax and refresh! Come and enjoy nature and the solitude of this quiet neighborhood. This location is NOT a party environment - which means "no parties, no loud music and no additional guests". This charming country cottage - nestled among the tall oak trees will not disappoint. Three bedroom two bath home includes a bonus room that is a bedroom as well as just a place to hang out and more.

New to listing is the electric fireplace - perfect for the winter! Curl up with a good book from the library or watch TV or your favorite movie! We have added a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Come enjoy this Guadalupe River cottage & river park with massive towering Cypress trees that line the grassy river banks. Our location on the Guadalupe River is just steps from the riverfront (about 200 yards) and is great for family relaxing, fishing or just floating. There is easy access to jump right in from the concrete dock along the river. Have a family picnic in under the large pavilion, or set up tables and have a family game day. Located just minutes from The Hunt Store as well as some of the most popular summer camps in the area - Waldemar, Mystic, La Junta, Heart of the Hills, Camp Stewart, Camp Honey Creek and Vista Camps (just to name a few). The Point Theater / Stonehenge II and Easter Island Heads, Crider’s Rodeo & Dancehall, Mo Ranch, and the YO Ranch are some of the nearby attractions.

Located just minutes from LA HACIENDA - providing perfect accommodations for family visits!

Day trips are a cinch - you might want to check out Lost Maples Natural Area (State Park), Utopia, Garner State Park, the Frio River or Concan to the West; and Kerrville, Comfort and/or Fredericksburg for shopping / winery tours to the East. You can always hop on I-10 to San Antonio for Fiesta Texas / Sea World or shopping at La Cantera and more.

Perfect property

We loved every minute of our stay. The location was so close to our daughter's camp and the Hunt Store. We loved being able to also relax in the beautiful Guad. The beds and living spaces were all comfortable and pleasant.

Great location near the river!

Cute home with a vintage feel but with all the modern conveniences. Plenty of space inside and out and within walking distance to the beautiful Guadalupe River. Great location for Kerrville, Ingram, and Hunt activities.

Great cabin on a fantastic spot on the river.

We truly enjoyed our stay! It is an idyllic spot with easy access in and out of the water. Our two dogs enjoyed their time there as well. Our host was very responsive and helpful. The cabin has everything you need and is cozy. My favorite part was laying in the grass on the riverbank and listening to the birds. Peaceful.

Koehler Kottage

We had an awesome experience at Koehler Kottage. Brought me back to my Heart O’ the Hills days on the river and it was great being able to share that with my wife and kids. We had a blast jumping off the rope swing and canoeing down the river. The property was clean and although the decor was simple it was perfect for a weekend get away! Thank you for hosting us. We had an amazing stay!

Wouldn’t go back

House was not clean, sheets not clean (was sent a message about rust being on towels and sheets before we arrived), rat poop in one of showers, refrigerator went out and all food spoiled, dishwasher didn’t work. Never again.

Great experience

The communication and service provided by the host were great. She texted me ahead to confirm my arrival time and informed me the water incident well ahead. Incidents were all resolved before we checked in. We texted her whenever we need something and she responded right away. The house location is great. 2 minutes walk to the river. Quiet and private water that you can hardly get elsewhere. The interior of the house is old though. If you expect a fancy vacation home, here is probably not the place. But if you don’t mind go to grandma’s house and have a homey getaway, this is the place for you.

Charming getaway

Very pleasant and scenic community. The property was very dusty inside and out. After we dusted the place and wiped out the refrigerator and microwave, we enjoyed the amenities Except for the the coffee pot, it did not work. We had to go McDonald's each morning for coffee and breakfast. We did not use the stove nor the oven. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful place!

Second visit

This cottage has a great kitchen, attractive and functional. The DR table expanded to comfortably seat family for Thanksgiving. Having a fire pit was a real plus on a crisp fall day. Best of all was the very fine and attentive host of this house, from check in to check out, she was always available.

Rustic river experience

The property has a wonderful river experience, the outdoor area around the house has a wonderful outdoor porch tables and chairs for family gathering together and the view is nice , the indoor lights were not sufficient ,everything else worked for a rustic river experience, nice outdoor grill lots of tubes,and floats we had a great time. There is a lot of privacy.

Cool quiet stretch of river and wildlife

The house had everything we needed; the beds were nicely firm and the AC kept up during a heat wave. A short walk to the cool, lazy river, especially quiet in the mornings. We saw deer, turtles, lots of birds and a baby skunk. There's a wildlife refuge just 8 minutes away and Bridget's Basket has amazing salads. Great trip!

Beautiful Guadalupe

This house was fine, it is the furthest from the river on the property.. and the extra beds (futon and twin) were extremely uncomfortable to the point of being unusable. House was very well appointed and clean.

Quiet getaway

We had a peaceful stay while visiting our daughter. It was a charming cottage, with a nice kitchen and updated bathrooms. Audrey was a breeze to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. I would stay there again!

Beautiful spot, cute house

My kids and parents came on a quick trip to the Hill Country, we loved the property. River access, great fire pit. Check in was easy and the property manager very accessible. We plan to come again!

Serenity on the Guadalupe River

Serenity on the Guadalupe River. The decor of this cabin gave us the German feel of the early settlers and was delightful. The children enjoyed swimming and paddling around in the river. While we adults enjoyed the serene quietness and the beautiful views of the hill country.

Hill Country Get Away

We had a great stay and enjoyed our time in the Hill Country. As for location, the home is a short walk to the river and very private. The home was clean and plenty of space for all. The kitchen was a bit challenging as the range top and oven did not have indications of degree of temperatures(appeared they had been worn off).

reunion of friends

Our three day get away was perfect from start to finish. The house is clean and cozy and well-equipped to offer a small group all the comforts of home in a beautiful setting. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The baths where very nice and the beds offered us sweet dreams. We loved our stay!

Cottage by the river

Awesome little place right in the river. This place was perfect for a family trip. Enough room to sleep everybody and a close walk to the river to enjoy it there. Would definitely stay here again.
