We stayed here as 2 couples and 2 singles, a group of friends from the Vancouver area & 1 from Australia to enjoy a few days of mountain biking. The house was perfect for our needs. Secure garage for the bikes and gear, ample parking for the 3 cars and a well equipped and organized house. The location was good - not too far from stuff but a nice quiet neighbourhood. Check in and the check out process was smooth and easy.

Curious about why the 3/5 stars? I try and go above expectations with regards to guests experiences. Especially puzzling after I gave a complementary late checkout, damage was incurred to my workout equipment, toilet and a large oil stain left on my driveway. To which I resolved without mention. What could I have done as a host to improve your rating?

Fabulous house. Clean, spacious, and well stocked. The beds were extremely comfortable. Open garage to store mountain bikes and gear. I highly recommend it and will try to stay there again!

Our family wanted a large home for 11 people to vacation together to celebrate an anniversary. We found it clean and comfortable for sleeping. The open concept upstairs living/kitchen/dining is very effective for gathering to visit. And enough bedrooms and a quiet downstairs area for individual down time. We found the kitchen quite well stocked and visitor-friendly. All appliances we used were in good working order. And when it was time to go, it was easy to clean up- washer, dryer and vacuum worked well. One thing I would suggest is a handrail on the front few steps. For multi- generation families with mobility issues. I was careful to use a shoulder or arm of someone on the front steps. It wasn’t an issue, but could make front door access easier. Inside the home, the railings were good. This was a personal issue, not so much a property issue, something to keep in mind for other families who book in the future.

Great stay!

Four of us stayed at this house while visiting my ill brother in Courtenay, BC. It was a very close proximity to his house, which made it easy to visit frequently during the days we were there. Everything was orderly and the provisions were all there. Very comfortable beds for all of us and lots of room. Thanks for everything, Tom!

This is our second time staying here and again we were extremely happy. As we stayed during Christmas Tom put a tree up for us and also put hooks on the fireplace so we could hang stockings :)The topper for us is when we found a baby gate in the closet!! Tom has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing - would give 8 stars if I could :) Thank you Tom from all our family :)

Great place

Tom was wonderful to deal with always making sure my family had all we needed for our stay. The house was cozy and clean. Hot tub was an added bonus that my family loved. Tom was on top of maintaining this for us as we stayed for a long period of time. This house is in a great location! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this house to anyone.

Wonderful stay at this location , Tom was truly an excellent host and has a perfect home for our annual trip to the island. the home had everything we needed to accommodate a larger group size and plenty of space for us to organize our day field trips. The hot tub was certainly most welcome after long days along with the patio and propane fire place. Tom really cares about the wellbeing of his guests and goes above and beyond to provide a good experience. hands down the best trip ever from our family , I will certainly rebook this property for our next trip.

Tom is very organized and diligent when it comes to preparing the home and receiving his guests. Very clean and peaceful home. Everything is labelled and set up for easy use. Thank you, Tom!One thing to bare in mind if that there are a lot of febreeze air freshners plugged in, so if you have sensitivities to artificial fragrance, notify him in advance so he can unplug the air freshners.
