Welcome to Rebecca Pointe, a gorgeous lakefront home located on an outstanding lake lot that is almost an acre! This two-story retreat plus loft is ideal for a quiet family escapade. Upon entering, you'll first come across the fully-equipped kitchen. This space is ideal for those looking forward to letting their creativity flow and surprise everyone with delicious meals!

-- THE PROPERTY --

The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, including a French door fridge and a dishwasher, and plenty of counter space. Right off the kitchen is the dining area featuring an eight-person dining table and a ceiling fan.

Then, continue the tour and you'll come across the inviting living room with direct access to the spacious lakefront deck and sunroom. The living room boasts two armchairs (one with a footstool), a sofa, a ceiling fan, a wall-mounted flatscreen TV, and board games. Experience unparalleled lake views from the furnished deck and let this be the best outdoor gathering spot ever! It boasts a seating area, an outdoor dining area, and even a gas grill, perfect for summer barbecues. Come back inside and unwind in peace in the sunroom, equipped with two sofas, three armchairs, and a ceiling fan. This is a great nook to read, take naps, or simply relax on your own. This level also has two bedrooms, two bathrooms with tub/shower combos, and a laundry nook. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans, but only the main bedroom has a flatscreen TV. Upstairs, you'll find a small loft area with a sofa and a flatscreen TV, one bedroom, and an ensuite full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

This home is located on a cul-de-sac right at the edge of a cove on a natural point. Visit the nearby Big Man's Marina (1.5 miles), the top spot for outdoor recreation. You can rent a boat (or bring your own) and spend sunny afternoons cruising the lake, or simply drop a fishing line in and relish a slow morning by the lake's edge. If you ever need to stock up on groceries or just enjoy a little dose of city life, Leesville is almost 14 miles away with plenty of dining options, shops, convenience stores, a bank, and so much more.

Towel rack and toilet paper holder in master bathroom were broken. It looked like no one cared about fixing them before someone stayed. I asked rental agency Vacasa to make sure the grill was working as we needed to use it the night of check in. They said their maintenance crew confirmed it was. When we arrived there was NO propane. We had to cook meat that should have been grilled on the stove. It was the night before thanksgiving so they couldn’t come out and we weren’t going to drive around to find somewhere to fill it.

The overall cleanliness was disappointing. The carpet had may stains on stairs. The outdoor furniture has spiders and webs And the fans were dirty outside. For the amount we paid with a 4 pm check in and a 10 am checkout I was very disappointed

Dirty House Big Disappointment

We were very disappointed with this house because it was very dirty and some parts of it were run down. When we arrived we were disappointed to see the walls in the kitchen and in the bathrooms had dead bugs all over them. The carpet was disgusting to walk on because it was so stained. On the dock, many of the boards were rotting out. The boards attached to the ladder into the water were rotted out and one of my guests got injured trying to get out of the lake because the ladder was not secure due to the rotting boards. Several of the screens had holes and rips in them so many bugs got into the house. Everything we used in the kitchen had to be washed before we could use it because everything was so dirty. There was food caked onto some of the pans and silverware, and everything just looked dirty. The house is not well maintained. Also, (this is not the fault of the owner) there was a stray dog that kept coming into the yard from the neighbor’s yard. I was not comfortable with that because of the children that were with us. Overall, we had a great time on the lake (we rented a boat), but our stay in the house was not good because it was so dirty and badly maintained.

BEWARE!!!

BEWARE……This property is inundated with ROACHES. This location is in need of some serious upkeep from the management company Vacasa. Upon arrival dead roaches were in the floor of the dining & living room area. I took the broom to collect & dispose of them. At the time of unloading our personal items for this stay we noticed more roaches crawling throughout the entire property. This resulted in us washing all of the laundry items to confirm cleanliness. We have to purchase detergent & bleach to get this task completed. I reached out to the Vacasa on the 1st night to request that the local staff come by to spray the property to treat the massive amount insects that were have discovered at this point and the representative took my contact information and even asked if I had taken pictures to support my complaint. He instructed me that I would hear from someone on the following day for a possible resolution. I called a 2nd time to refresh my complaint and include photos as we had to kill a magnitude of roaches at this point & to inform them of the burning coming from the stove-top. NEVER heard back from anyone. This caused us to have to go back to the local store for Raid bug spray and cleaners to make our stay feasible. I am hoping that this detailed post will help the property owners aware of the neglect to maintain the property and to assist future vacation home renters from making the mistake of booking this unit! We should in fact be refunded for a portion of our stay.

Had a good time !

Property is in a nice quite location. For it to have been a summer weekend with nice weather the boat/ lake traffic was lite . The property listing isn’t intentionally misleading but there things you don’t see in the description and pictures. It is a lake house and has an old lake house feel. The furniture is old and worn and needs to be replaced. The kitchen is well appointed but the dishes all had to be washed as the former occupants probably only wiped them down. Tips and tears in furniture and carpet . The outside deck and furniture would be awesome if it just had a inside down during the cleaning you pay for as part of the rental. With that said - we had a great time ! We only caught one fish over the weekend but it was a hoss !

Disgusting! Worst experience I have ever had with a rental property!

This home was filthy . Roaches both dead and alive throughout the house. Dead bugs, dirt and dust thick in every window sill. Hole in bathroom ceiling with water leaking out that required a towel be constantly down and replaced to soak it up. Upstairs bedroom had shredded candy wrapper paper all over it. There were large dark stains in carpet and on outdoor furniture. There was broken furniture, broken small appliances and it looked like the house had not been cleaned in months. I reached out in numerous occasions to Vacassa local staff number and was never contacted by anyone and only responded to by text after each contact letting me know that someone from the local office would be getting back with me. We own a home in this neighborhood and this was hat we had hoped to be one of many times in the future we would book this rental for overflow company . Obviously this will never happen. We were humiliated that we had rented it for guests this time. If I were the home owner I would be mortified to find my home was rented out in this condition.

Great family lake house

We really enjoyed our stay. This was our third visit to Lake Murray and third different house. We had four adults two small children. Two of our teenagers came and stayed overnight one night. We only live about an hour and 45 minutes from Lake Murray. The only complaint I would say would be the cookware. It definitely could be updated. There is a lot of it there but not a lot that you can use. A lot of stuff that doesn’t have the nonstick so things were wanting to stick to the pans. The grill didn’t work very well. One side would only really get hot . There was a bad board on the dock that was sticking up. The kids kept tripping on so we had to lay a towel on top of it. It would’ve been nice to have had TVs in the rooms. The master bedroom had a TV but we couldn’t get it to work and the TV in the upstairs loft was only for DVDs, and there was very minimum of those. The teenagers would have liked to have had a TV and the bunkbed room as well. We are just a family that goes to bed watching TV. And one of the days was quite rainy and would been nice to have laid in bed and watched TV but the only one that seem to work was in the living room. But other than those few things he was a great place to stay!

Nice stay

We had a great time being right on the lake and really loved that we could also bring our family dog. The house is older, but very comfy and cozy. It was perfect for a weekend on the lake. Plenty of room and the porch was really nice for having morning coffee. We also enjoyed using the grill for dinner. Great area. Would book again.

Kick back Relax

Family getaway nice secluded area by the lake. Clean, nice area to relax. Love the art and the view outside. Plenty of space. Would book again.

Perfect location for my family

I have family that has a vacation house close there so it was the perfect place to be able to meet up with them at all times. However there were a few things that were wrong with the rental. They really need to go in the place and maintain a little bit better the couches are hard to sit on really worn out the king size bed was hard as a rock the water in the shower was kind a hard to turn on. No hand railing or light in the hallway coming down the stairs which is kind of dangerous. It just really needs some work done there. With that being said it is a beautiful location and we had a wonderful time

Fun week, comfortable house, some minor issues

The house was big enough to give everyone space and privacy, the set up was good, and the house stayed cool and comfortable in the 90+ degree heat. The house was cleaned and they provided soaps (liquid hand soaps and bath stuff) and clean towels. The kitchen was stocked but missing some things we needed. There were nice places outside to lounge and fish -- we spent a lot of time on the dock and under the two trees which provided nice shade. We also spent a lot of time under the covered porch. Negatives -- the house needs some maintenance and upgrades. The deck had has a lot of overall construction concerns - we stayed in covered porch area. The dock was mostly good but there is one rotted board and the board attached to the latter is coming up a bit. Overall, it did not feel unsafe, but does need some maintenance. We had issues with a plethora of ants in the upstairs bathroom coming in a whole/crack in the ceiling. We texted on Wednesday and they sent pest control out on Friday. The property is definitely full of tiny ants (we brought many home in our cars), but this is expected on a wooded property. Overall the property and view are beautiful we were comfortable and we really enjoyed relaxing there all week. We rented a tritoon from Lake Murray Rentals and docked it at the dock at the house. That was a good experience... we recommend it!

Beautiful Atmosphere Older Home

The atmosphere was beautiful. The home and property were a little dingy and old. The lake was lovely, but in order to rent anything you had to drive quite a ways. The owners do not allow you to use any of their water toys at all. They are just locked up in the basement for you to see through the windows. With the lack of places to rent the owners may want to consider allowing those renting the place to use some of their equipment as part of the rental. Also there was internet, but the Roku was missing and you couldn't really use the TV.

Quiet and serene

We stayed at the lake house for my daughter's graduation and for Mother's Day. It was on a very quiet side of the lake which was perfect. The house was clean and well stocked as far as towels and linens are concerned. There was a total of 6 of us, and the home had plenty of room for us. Thank you for letting us unwind and relax!

Great spot

We were in the area for a family wedding in Lexington. It was a great spot for family members to gather around the scheduled nearby wedding festivities. Multiple sleeping and baths with laundry was very helpful!

Nice place to stay.

We were a group of guys down for the Masters Tournament. It is a good location and property for that. Location is somewhat remote so wouldn't recommend it for someone looking for nightlife but for us it was good. Liked the bbq and large deck as well as the lake location.

Very nice house!!

The house was awesome. The house was super clean. I did not like the master bedroom carpet. Too many stains. It is quite a ride to stores and restaurants. The views were spectacular. We moved here from New York and needed a place to stay and the house met all our needs.

Great property, just needs a few easy improvements

First I want to start by saying this is a great property, and we really enjoyed the big yard, dock and layout of the home. There were 8 of us that stayed and enough room for everyone. There were just a few things that could be improved upon to make this a 5 star stay. There were no beach/swimming towels in the home and we only had 8 bath towels, so we had to go purchase beach towels. It seemed like since we are on the lake that would be a good investment for the owners to provide for the guests. There were no extra pillow cases for the extra pillows. I would highly recommend replacing the king mattress, or at the least, putting a foam topper on it and also buying higher quality pillows. By the second night my husband and I had to go purchase an air mattress to be able to sleep comfortably. The kids (15, 16. & 20) also complained about the twin mattresses. One of them even chose to sleep in the couch instead of the bed. The queen mattress upstairs was great. In the kitchen, the blender didn’t work, there was not a potato peeler and I think the water filter on the fridge needs to be replaced, because the water barely came out. I would also recommend leaving a few more trash bags and some cleaning supplies…. A pen and paper would be great too. The thermostat kept resetting to 83, which could have been a program that another guest may have set. Once we figured that out the house temperature stayed very comfortable. Over all we really did enjoy our stay and the home. It was just hard having 6 out of 8 people tried and sore from not sleeping well at night. If those issues were addressed we would for sure book again.

Serviceable place

Nice dock area. Kitchenware not the best. Mismatched serviceware. Hodgepodge of glasses cups, serving spoons etc No large bowls for salads etc. Well worn utensils but you can get the job done. Living room couch has no back cushions. Mismatched furniture. Could use mattress replacement. Overall clean. We were late renting so choices were limited.
