Escape to the ultimate mountain retreat at The Great Yosemite Retreat at Bear Trap, a newly renovated 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom private getaway located just 5 minutes from charming downtown Mariposa. This picturesque property offers stunning sunset views of the mountains, making it the perfect escape from the daily grind.

Inside, you'll find 5 comfortable beds, including a king-size bed, two queen-size beds, and two twin beds, providing ample space for groups of friends or large families. The spacious living room features an 82" Smart TV and high-speed WiFi, while the fully stocked kitchen has all the necessary appliances and ample counter space for cooking. The dining area can seat up to 8 guests.

Outside, the fully furnished patio offers a 7-seat hot tub, fire pit, sun beds, and lounge area. Take in the breathtaking mountain sunset views while relaxing on the oversized sectional outdoor lounge or soaking in the hot tub. The game room with ping pong and pool tables, board games, and a 75" Smart TV offers endless entertainment options.

This pet-friendly home sits on 5 acres of 100% privacy but is just 5 minutes from charming downtown Mariposa, 45 minutes from Yosemite National Park, and 25 minutes from Lake McClure. The property also offers ample outdoor space and parking, with a large driveway and additional parking spaces on the property.

Please note that smoking, parties, unregistered guests, wood-burning fires of any kind outside, fireworks, and firearms are not allowed on the property. Breaking these rules will result in a $500 fee.

Our thorough cleaning process after each check-out ensures the cleanliness of the property, and linens and bath towels are provided, but daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. A strict cancellation policy applies, and natural conditions common in the area are not covered by Airbnb's extenuating circumstances policy.

Ecerything was as we expected it to be, and more. The location is beautiful, with a great ciew from the patio and hot tub. The hot tub was ready to use when we arrived, nice and hot and well maintained. The patio is spacious and nicely done. The living room is really big and nice, and then there is the game room with pool and pingpong besides. The kitchen is good, the beds are very comfortable. Overall, highly recommended!

Wonderful Gateway to Yosemite!

We had a fantastic time and would have been totally content to spend the entire three days at the home. Everything is well taken care of and the home is beautiful. Outdoor living space was gorgeous and the views were awesome. Our kids favorite part was the game room. Definitely looking forward to our next stay here!

Fantastic stay

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights. The place is fantastic. Clean, spacious, close to Mariposa, longer distance to Yosemite but a beautiful drive. The hosts were awesome. Views from the hot tub superb.

So Much Fun at the Great Yosemite Retreat

My family and I had a wonderful time at this house. The owners provided clear, informative information about the house and the surrounding area. The information about the house was received well in advance of our stay. We used the spa, played table tennis, cornhole, and pool. The house was well furnished and very comfortable. We came for the butterfly festival, it was a blast to see the parade and visit the Mariposa Fairgrounds. This was a great house for families, the wifi was great and everyone had something to do. We will be staying here again in the future with a plan to visit Yosemite. Thank you Jazzy and David for allowing us to rent your beautiful home.

Little slice of Heaven

We so enjoyed our stay at the house. Everything clean and the open floor plan was great. Kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. Nice to have two washers and dryers! Only downfall is the warmth of the game room. We didn't use it very much as it was hot outside. Hot tub was great after long days of hiking and the views were great!

Relaxing stay in Mariposa!

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful stay at this property. Plenty of room and great layout. We enjoyed the sunsets around the firepit, morning coffee on the outdoor couch overlooking the valley, and evenings in the hot tub. Everything was clean, fresh and comfortable. We will be back!

Well-appointed, clean, spacious house, hiccup with the toilet

We had a pleasant stay at the Great Yosemite Retreat. The house was easy to find, very clean, well appointed (though another full set of dishes/silverware would be appreciated!), and spacious enough for 8 people ranging in age from 15-84. We did run into one challenge: the third toilet was “running” within two hours of our arrival causing the water pressure on the rest of the system to be low, and leaving 1 of 3 toilets unusable. We called the management company and was told a repair person would attend to it the next day, which was fine. However, this was not resolved during our 4 night stay. With two other toilets, we made due, but it was an inconvenience. We would stay here again with some reservation due to the lack of resolution of the toilet. Thank you!

End of Summer getaway

The whole process of booking was beyond easy, accessibility to the location. The game room was a super plus, pool table, ping pong table all the game boards and apps on the tv for the kids was a super plus. Adult outdoor gathering area was perfect. Thank you for such an easy process

Worked for us

Four of us stayed and used as base to explore Yosemite. Super close to Mariposa - everything you need there. Decent access to main entrance and south entrance of park. House can comfortably host 6-8 I was frustrated with communication - super cool app and great info provided but my questions / concerns were never answered / addressed (still to date and we have been home for 3 days) Seems very automated (even replies) But no major concerns was a good home base for our trip.

Loved the property but it was advertised as 10 miles from Yosemite but it was not. It was approximately an hour minimum to the gate at the park.

Vacation

The property was very clean and had a wonderful game room to enjoy. A lot of space for everyone. The only problem we had was that there is no shade cover over the front to enjoy the wonderful outside patio they have. I needs a gazebo or something. But I would book this property again.

Great home for families visiting Yosemite

We enjoyed this beautiful, comfortable home on our family trip to Yosemite. It is close to white water rafting and the National park. The kids loved the game room and well-stocked collection of board games.
