Beautiful Ocean View on Quiet Side of Honua Kai

NO RESORT OR PARKING FEES WHEN BOOKING WITH US!

Honua Kai is a Four Star resort with four pools, five spas, a fitness center, Aina Gourmet Market, and beachfront Dukes Restaurant on premises.

Our one bedroom condo (unit 514 in The Hokulani Building) has a partial ocean view from the lanai, has a KING sized bed in the bedroom AND queen SOFA SLEEPER for additional guests.

There are three large pools at Honua Kai, each with its own character. The FORMAL Pool is an infinity-edge lap pool featuring two hot tubs and perfect ocean views. The OHANA Pool features a one hundred and twenty foot WATER SLIDE and a waterfall that cascades into the main swimming area. Natural lava rock will form an elevated hot tub that takes in the ocean views. The Ohana Pool also has a sandy beach and a shallow pool for the kids. The RIVER Pool features a meandering river that flows through smaller swimming holes and waterfalls.

Honua Kai also features Duke's Beach House, an Oceanfront restaurant run by the same owners of Kimo's, Hula Grill, and Leilani's. Great food at reasonable prices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, in addition to poolside service. Experience the beautiful sunsets on Kaanapali Beach with live music nightly and a wonderful dining experience!

Large fitness center with state of the art equipment is on the ground floor of the Konea Building.

Ho'ola Spa and the Whaler's General Store in the Konea Building is now open.


Located on the Fifth floor, our One bedroom, One bath condo has 700 square feet plus the 145 square foot lanai, and comfortably sleeps four.

Our guests will have access to all pools, BBQ grills, and fitness center in the Konea Building.

Please call or text me before and during your stay, so that I can introduce myself and see if you need help planning your Maui trip. Our Property Manager lives five miles away and we can take care of anything that comes up.

Honua Kai is within walking distance to many restaurants of all price ranges, a grocery store (Times Market), and a Farmer's Market. We are on the northern end of Kaanapali Beach and there is a boardwalk that starts at Honua Kai and goes to Black Rock, Whaler's Village and the Hyatt, the southernmost resort on Kaanapali Beach.

Car rental is the most preferred mode of transportation. Uber is increasingly popular on Maui.

Honua Kai does not charge guests for underground parking, and is included in our nightly rates. This is a great savings compared to other resorts on Kaanapali Beach that charges a "Resort" or "Parking" fee.

Our secured, underground parking keeps your car cool from the sun, and is close to the elevators that leads you to our condo. This eliminates the need to walk through the lobby with your luggage or groceries.
No smoking in condo or lanai.

Our family of three just returned from an eight night stay at this lovely condo at Honua Kai. It was perfectly stocked with everything required for a great beach vacation including chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. Amazing Maui Stay!!

This place was incredible. The condo is well stocked and very clean. We went with our toddler that is less than 2 years old, and there was a pack and play and booster seat. The beach chairs were a huge plus as well! Louis is very responsive and helpful. The location is great and the Honua Kai itself is a great property with pools and beach. Would highly recommend for anyone coming to Maui!

The host of this rental, Louis, was extremely kind and accommodating. The resort was beautiful with numerous pools, hot tubs and a water slide for the kids. The snorkeling directly off the beach was quite good and many whales were spotted throughout the week while we were on the beach. What’s not to love?

Lovely condo that seems like a luxury hotel. Louis did everything in his power to insure that our stay was the best it could possibly be. There is a restaurant “Duke” on the premises that was very good with a happy hour and live music every evening. Condo is in the sunny part of Island we would absolutely stay there again.

Would highly recommend staying here and we would love to come back! The condo was perfect! Loved having the view of both the mountains and the ocean as most days we saw the sunrise or a rainbow over the mountain! The patio was our favorite and furniture was very comfortable. Our kids slept on the pull out couch and it worked out well. Perfect space for a family of 4. Loved the beach toys and amenities. Property has a great pool, waterslide, Duke’s restaurant which was our favorite of the trip, and a beautiful beach. Highly recommend!

This unit is particularly special because of the view of the ocean and the mountain. Both were truly stunning, I often found myself unsure of which way to face while out on the lanai. We had a wonderful stay in Maui and absolutely loved the condo. It was perfectly clean and exactly as described online. Parking was included and super easy. We never had a problem finding a parking spot. The grounds were amazing and well cared for and the beach was right there! Having Duke's on the grounds was very convenient and we had multiple meals there.The condo was very comfortable. The bedroom was a good size, the mattress was comfortable, and you could access the large bathroom from the bedroom and the main room. We spent quite a bit of time hanging out on the large balcony that had comfortable seating and a large table. I loved looking out at the water, and my husband loved looking out at the mountains. Overall, we had a fabulous visit.We look forward to a return visit.

We had a great experience at Honua Kai and the kids will remember it forever. First, Louis is a top-notch host. From the outset of the booking to pre-arrival to being onsite, it was like having a concierge the entire way through. That in and of itself was worth a lot. The condo is very nice and has everything that you need and most of what you'd want (beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers...you name it). Location is also outstanding. Excellent experience and would definitely recommend Louis and this property!

A perfect stay by the beach

My wife and I could not have been happier with our stay at Honua Kai with Louis as our host. The unit was exactly as described with many premium touches and fully stocked with everything we needed throughout our stay. The unit is in a building adjacent to the pools and the beach. The in-building parking garage was similarly convenient, and we never had a problem finding a space. Check-in was as simple as showing our IDs to the valet and check-out involved just leaving our keys and parking pass in the unit. Louis was wonderful at communications, telling us everything we needed to know well in advance, connecting with us periodically during our 17-day stay, and giving us lots of helpful tips to make our time in Maui more enjoyable.

Slice of heaven

I had been wanting to stay at Honua Kai since 2015 but things never lined up correctly. This year we found this listing and were blown away. Louis was an amazing host. He explained the check in process in detail, and made all arrangements with the hotel staff. We pulled up to the valet and were surprised to learn that they were expecting us. They brought up our luggage and groceries. The unit was luxurious, and most importantly clean. We had breakfast on the balcony every morning. The pools were great, my four year old had a blast in the slide. The view from the beach was truly awesome. Lanai to the left and Molokai to the right. Thank you Louis for an unforgettable stay!

The only way to rent at Honua Kai...or on West Maui!

We loved Honua Kai and the condo. It had everything we could need and was well taken care of. The underground parking was perfect. We loved opening the lanai doors and enjoying our coffee/breakfast from Aina Gourmet (onsite). The kitchen was perfect for when we wanted to eat in, Duke's was perfect for when we didn't. This condo really isn't lacking anything. We stayed at the Marriott Ocean Club on Kaanapali Beach for the last three nights and I really wished we were back at Honua Kai. It's a less busy area but just as gorgeous with great food/drinks/amenities. As other reviewers have mentioned the high efficiency laundry does take a while. As long as you do a load of laundry each day you'll be fine. Might suggest putting an extra set of beach towels in the condo so one set could be drying. The fitness center was nice too and it's easy to walk over to Times Market for groceries. Book this condo you won't regret it. We can't wait to come back!

Hi, thank you for taking the time to read our webpage. My wife and I, along with our four kids, live in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. I work at a hospital near us, and my wife, Kristine, takes care of the household. Kristine is Hawaiian, and when we go back to visit family, we usually stay at a hotel. We normally visit Maui twice a year, and since we have outgrown hotel rooms, it just made sense to buy a condo with great amenities so that we feel like we ARE on vacation. We take a lot of pride in keeping our Honua Kai condo perfect and our guests happy. Our condo is filled with amenities to make sure that you are comfortable, and will happily do everything we can to accomodate your needs.

Why they chose this property

Honua Kai is a brand-resort on North Kaanapali Beach. This area is quiet, has great views of Lanai and Molokai, and you can snorkel right on our beach. Relax poolside and take in the sunset, its very peaceful. From November to April, you can catch whales playing in the Ocean.

What makes this property unique

With new furnishings, a fully-equipped kitchen, and hi-def TVs, there is no reason to leave the condo. There are so many amenities at Honua Kai, including Concierge Service, an Activities Desk next to the Pool, TEN Viking grills for you to use, and a large fitness room in the Konea Building.
