Amazing long range views looking into the heart of Doughton National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. 5 miles to the back entrance of Stone Mountain State Park and to the bottom entrance of Doughton park.
Vacation in luxury with granite counter tops and vanity tops, stainless steel appliances, vaulted ceilings, high definition LCD TV, YouTubeTV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, a stacked stone gas fireplace, fiber high speed wireless internet, a huge deck, a finished game room with a pool table, ping pong table & LCD TV. Great and comfortable house with beautiful views

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is clean and very comfortable, in a very quiet community. There are lots of fun little details in the furnishing and decoration of the house that we appreciated. Our only tiny nit: the kitchen is short of a couple of things that aren't on the host's list of items to bring.

New Year’s Retreat

We had a lovely time. The four of us (two middle aged parents and two adult daughters) spent four nights over New Year’s weekend and had a thoroughly relaxing time. The canin was beautifully furnished and had all the amenities (we cooked in 3 of the 4 nights) and the views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains were among the most lovely we’ve seen.

Good Time

Great Stay but needs improvement. Just needs a few updates like the frying pans, grill, and coffee pot. The couch in living room very uncomfortable, the couch downstairs smells like body odor, but had a great stay with spectacular views, well stocked, almost perfect other than the stink bug infestation which we were told about beforehand so we just dealt with it. Still had a great time and would like stay again.

Amazing Relaxation!!!

We enjoyed the “at home” feel with all necessities at hand while soaking up the spectacular views! The pool/ping pong table was a big hit for fun! Definitely looking forward to going back!

Beautiful Cabin with Lots of Panoramic Views

Picturesque views. Great location for hikes. Really loved hiking Stone Mountain. The summit was the best hike. Did run into a rattle snake on the mountain. But I was in his habitat. He gave me good warning and I made the best of that warning. Loved the views and the cabin. Hopefully will return next year. Thanks to the owners for their assistance.

Mountain Splendor

The mountaintop cabin was spacious with all the comforts you’ll need. It was extremely clean and well stocked. The views from the deck were incredible. The fire pit was a great bonus. Lots of great hiking and wineries in the area.

Fun and games

My friend and I enjoyed a quiet getaway to this lovely cabin. Although the weather didn’t comply, we enjoyed time playing games and a trip to Roaring River Winery for lunch. The house is beautiful and well maintained. We would love to return again.

Motorcycle Wedding

One or our friends wanted a motorcycle wedding in the mountains. The whole event, including this secluded cabin, wineries nearby and curvy roads, exceeded the bride's expectations. Morning coffees and evening sundowners were the best part of the day. Wonderful cabin and fantastic views. Everyone said they wanted to come again in the Fall.

A peaceful getaway

Lovely cabin at a fantastic location

Very well kept cabin with lots of thoughtful details, such as extra USB ports at the kitchen counter. Great views all round. Every switch was well marked. Hosts were wonderful and quick to respond to all our questions.

Why they chose this property

I built Stone Mountain Serenity in 2008 and picked this location because of the amazing views, complete privacy, abundant wildlife and great hiking.

What makes this property unique

Enjoying the breathtaking views while in front of a bonfire is one of my favorite cabin activities. Hiking Stone Mnt State Park and Doughton Park are other must do's while visiting the area. My boys love the rock slide at Widow Falls in Stone Mnt Park, which always ends with ice cream at the country store. There is nothing better than enjoying a cold NC craft beer on the deck, while watching an amazing sunset over the mountains...the uplighting can be mesmerizing at times. Touring all of the local wineries with friends and ending with dinner at the Harvest Grill at Shelton makes for a great day.
