The Great Escape - Indio is located in the upscale gated community at Indian Palms Country Club. 15 minute walk to Coachella and Stagecoach Music Festival ground that’s across the street where Empire Polo Club hosts!

It is also less than a 15 minute drive from Desert International Horse Park which hosts premier equestrian shows!  Is close to well-known Casinos and Indian Wells Tennis Center.

This beautiful single family home is in the Indian Palms Country Club, with 27 hole golf course, numerous tennis courts, pickle-ball, hot tubs, pools, spas, fitness center, restaurant and bar on site.  There are 3 pools, all within a 10 minute walk.
The main big pool is 10 minutes away and is open 7 days a week. The 2 smaller satellite pools are a 5 minute walk away and are also open 7 days a week.

The home features a 3 bedroom, 3 bath layout, that accommodates up to 8 guests.  It has a fully equipped kitchen, High Speed Internet, Wifi and Cat 5 connections, 5 TV's throughout the house, back patio with gas BBQ and Fire Pit, gas heater, laundry room, with washer and dryer, your own private Golf Cart, 2 car garage, keyless entry and much more.

There is a complete 'Guest Welcome Booklet'' located in kitchen, with detailed information on the home, its amenities, the IPCC complex and facilities, as well as recommended restaurants, over 30+ golf courses and shopping malls that are all nearby.   Look for it when you check-in.

There will be a $500 Security Deposit PreAuthorized on your credit card, prior to your Check-in.

All you need to bring are clothes, food, basic toiletries, beverage of your choice and a desire to kick-back and relax.  We know you will love it.

You will need to provide us with the licence plate or plates of the vehicles coming to give you automatic access at the Security Gate, so you don't have to wait in line. This automated entrance system ONLY works at the 48th Street, 50th Street and Jackson Street entrances. It does not work at the Munro Street entrance.

Also, please note that there is No Parking on Bates Street. Vehicles will will be towed.

We had 6 guests and 1 sweet dog with us to visit family in the this town. We loved the house, amenities and easy access to great restaurants and views. It was a family friendly place and the main pool was great to relax in. Ian was a great communicator and kind.

This is the second time that we rented from Ron. Both times he was easy to reach and his handy man Frank answered our questions also Great always. The home was clean and the view of golf course was nice green location.

Beautiful home in the Desert

The Great Escape Indio was a lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed having use of the Lifestyle Center. Ian, the Property Manager, was great to work with and very helpful with the minor problems that arose. We liked it so well we signed up again for next year.

Great Family stay in Indio

Very pleased with beautiful spacious home - great layout. Enjoyed 2 master suites plus bedroom and bath for kids. Great outdoor patio area to enjoy evenings with BBQ and sunsets. Really enjoyed having the use of a very nice golf cart that really helped us transporting to the one main resort pool (only had access starting Monday through the week after arriving late Saturday check-in); tennis courts and golf course. This might be due to COVID restrictions but we did not have access to the other smaller pools and gym that were open for owners only. Highly recommend for the Indio/Polo Grounds area and would come back.

Fabulous stay in Indio

This property is exceptional. The residence was very well decorated and the cleanest short term rental I have ever stayed at. From the spacious bedrooms, wide open family room and kitchen area, to the outdoor lounge area and fire pit, this location was perfect. The decor was to the level of what I would put in my home for personal use. They did not skimp. Would stay here again without considering anywhere else.

Great property, difficult owner

We are a responsible family of 4, have stayed in many VRBOs, have never left a negative review and have never had a negative review left of us. This property itself is great - clean, functional and well stocked. If you want to stay here, just be prepared that the owner is pretty difficult. We booked this property far in advance, to host family for Thanksgiving. The issues began when, just a few days prior to our arrival, the owner sent us a brand new contract that he required us to sign, and it included an agreement that we would pay for 3 extra nights following our stay if anyone came down with any symptoms of a cold while visiting the house (even if they were Covid negative). This might be okay if we were told up front when booking, but to make this a last minute condition of checking in on a holiday weekend when no alternatives are available, was unprofessional at best. The owner's response was that VRBO allows for additional "forms". Clearly, an insistence that a guest pay for three additional nights after their departure should anyone get a cold while staying there is not just a "form". We enjoyed the house itself, but a week or so after checking out, were told that we had broken an outside screen, and would have to pay to repair or replace it. The picture sent as proof showed that someone had forcefully pried at this outside screen, which we did not do. The owner also said that we'd also owe an extra cleaning fee due to dog hair (dogs were allowed, and this was on top of a large cleaning fee that we had already paid). As proof, he sent us a picture of a small tuft of dog hair on the floor, which was completely normal (I would post the pic here if I could, so others could see). He also complained that we had stacked all of the linens in the master shower, which we didn't argue with because that is expressly what the checkout instructions told us to do. In fact, we spent over an hour stripping beds and cleaning the house, to leave it in perfect condition. When we tried to reasonably discuss these charges with the owner, he was only interested in how we wanted to pay. In fact, we went so far as to try to just split them with him so that this could get resolved and we could both move on, but he didn't ever respond and just filed an insurance claim. The house is great, but should come with a bit of "renter beware" due to the owner's approach.

Justin's review has a number of inaccuracies in it. First, where referring to the 'Owner', is in fact the Owner's Property Manager, the writer of this response. Next, the Covid Form sent to all guests is intended to clarify for everyone, if someone comes down with symptoms, to let us know. And if they test positive, how we all deal with that situation, for everyone's protection, both our crews and our next guests. Next, the damage to the screen door and latching mechanism, that needed the screen door replaced, was clearly caused by an impact from the inside, not the outside. On the extra cleaning charge, was due to dog hair being on all of the furniture, bedding and duvets, all of which was contrary to House Rules that dogs were not to be allowed on. This resulting in additional cleaning costs being incurred, over and above that of a normal cleaning. As far as 'reasonably discussing' the issue, asking to split the damage and extra cleaning costs 50/50 was unreasonable, so declined his offer, and made that clear to Justin. Hence, we filed the Claim for Damages through VRBO, that thankfully was the first time we have had to do this in the two years of managing this property.

Fantastic

Beautiful home - so comfortable - indoor and outdoor spaces were wonderful - outdoor area one of the best I’ve seen in the desert. Huge TVs. Very attentive hosts. Not my favorite club in the area, but still a truly wonderful home! We had a great time.
