About Sally L Godard
Your hosts are Ron and Sally. We've raised our three children here since 1988, and they're now all young adults. We're not yet retired, but able to do some of our work from home. We're friendly, casual introverts. It has been great to meet a wonderful variety of people from all over the country.
Why Sally L Godard chose McMinnville
Sally is a native Oregonian. She lived in Portland during her young adulthood, and hoped to raise the children in a more rural area. McMinnville (pop. 33,000) has been perfect. And the countryside is beautiful! One of our friends dubbed our place Low Heaven Farm. It stuck -- and we have to agree that it IS 'heaven on earth.' Three large black walnut trees frame the house, and we added evergreen trees to bring some winter color.
What makes this Apartment unique
We love our country living, while still being close to town. Have a busy day, then return to relax. Sally continues to expand the orchard -- it now has 34 varieties of apples, 8 plums, 5 pears, 4 cherries. Ron relishes his time on the tractor, and he just added 24 solar panels so the apartment's electricity needs are now supplied by solar energy.

Third visit feels like coming home
Our third stay was just as special as the first! Sally and Ron are gracious and generous hosts and it is a privilege to experience their comfortable and well appointed apartment as well as the beautiful gardens, orchards, and tree house. Our visiting grand children love the goats and alpacas and feel so welcomed each year. Can’t wait to come back!
A serene and relaxed rural hideaway
Fantastic place. It's just outside of McMinnville, nestled among vineyards and orchids. Very quiet and beautiful. Lots of birds, flowers and even a few goats which you can pet and feed. It has a lovely garden, swings, a rope bridge and a beautiful treehouse. If you like nature and are looking for a relaxing home away from home, this is it. After a day of adventures and sight-seeing, it was wonderful to come back to this place. So relaxing. And it has every convenience you need. A full kitchen, a stocked fridge, a microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, washer and dryer, television, blu-ray player and air-conditioning. Honestly, I can't think of anything that we were missing. This is the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed it. Ron and Sally were wonderful, easy to talk to and very welcoming. We are hoping to return here one day.
Glad you two had a good time exploring Yamhill County, David. Thanks for the review, and we welcome you back. I find it relaxing, too, even when I'm pulling weeds. :-)
Very comfortable in every way. Everything we could ask for, plus the flowers, the magnificent walnut trees, the treehouse and the friendly critters. Early morning coffee and happy hour wine in the treehouse. Nuf said. Highly recommend.
The apartment exceeded our expectations. The owners bent over backwards to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We highly recommend this property for a great Oregon wine country vacation!
Relaxing & Quiet
We enjoyed our stay with our family. It was a great location and close to everything. Sally made us feel like we were in a “home away from home”. We will return again with more family. Thank you for the amazing breakfast food, wine and fruit basket. Our four night stay was in the most relaxing setting. We will return again.
It was great to meet you and your family, Donna. I'm glad it worked out for you, and we look forward to seeing all of you again. Thanks for leaving the apartment in such good shape!
Great place in the Oregon Wine Country!
This is a beautiful place and great for a small family! The home has everything needed to feel welcome and at home, with a lot of great things nearby to see and do! The treehouse is a great feature for kids as well!
Glad to have you and your family here, Chris! Do come again.
