Charming + LUXE hideaway・fireplace・wine・BBQ ・deck

The Aspen Cabin is tucked away in the most charming neighborhood in Lake Arrowhead. This year-round, Lake House/Cabin was built in 1926 with local fir wood and granite. The open floor plan and interior was thoughtfully re-designed by @petulapeaphotography for you to feel elegantly at home (yet, family friendly). Vaulted ceilings, new beds and mattresses, luxury linens, oak floors, custom art, full kitchen, and sweet details await you to relax and unwind.

WINTER: Skiing, sledding, tubing, ski resorts and Santa's Village are all a short 10-15 min drive away. Lake Arrowhead's shopping and restaurant village is a 5 minute drive.

SUMMER: There are also many hiking trails, including Heart Rock, SkyPark/Santa's Village, Lake Arrowhead Village for shopping and restaurants, Antique shopping, Lake Arrowhead Brewery, and a winery are very close by. Or, light a fire and play a board game or snuggle up on the sofa with a great novel.

Most definitely recommend

Overall great experience at this enchanting mountain hideaway. The hosts were very accommodating and the home was very close to all of the fun! Would most definitely recommend to any family looking to spend the weekend in Lake Arrowhead.

Cabin in the Woods

The Aspen cabin was all and more I had hoped!!! I needed a quiet get away and that was what I got.. It is adorable, cozy , convenient to cute shops and a beautiful lake… I hope to return in the near future!!

The coziest of cabins!

My husband and I enjoyed this very cozy cabin for a long weekend! I cannot say enough in regards to this chic cabin and the very sweet hostess! Our experience was top notch from start to finish. The cabin itself is very clean, well decorated, cozy as can be, great beds and linens, and in a great location. Patty our hostess was beyond helpful and kind. Her communication was the best we have experienced. It was the perfect weekend get away our only wish is that we stayed longer at this little gem in arrowhead!

A+ Arrowhead Experience at the Aspen Cabin!

I highly recommend this darling cabin to any small group looking for a quiet, residential type stay. We thoroughly enjoyed this property - it has incredible charm and has been thoughtfully remodeled to the nines. I felt like I was in a model home. No detail has gone overlooked and we appreciated the small gestures with a comfy mattress, fluffy towels, coffee / tea / snacks/ soap & shampoo provided. Patty, the host, was a joy to work with. We look forward to returning to the Aspen Cabin on a future visit to Lake Arrowhead.

Relaxing Hideaway in the Trees

Host Patty made us feel welcome when we made the booking by checking to make sure everything would be perfect for our stay. The Aspen Cabin is ideally located in Lake Arrowhead's quiet Palisades neighborhood. You step into an inviting open-plan, comfortably furnished living space with french doors opening onto a sheltered deck, a vaulted ceiling with 100-year-old exposed trusses, and a magnificent rustic stone chimney. The master bedroom with its comfy bed will give you a good night's sleep. The kitchen and the outdoor gas grill have everything needed to stay in and cater for yourself. We loved our stay at the Aspen Cabin and will be back soon.

Beyond our expectations!

There is so much to love about this sweet little cabin in the woods! It is everything you see in the pictures and so much more! It is beautifully decorated, super clean and cozy with so much attention to detail. The owner, Patty is an amazing host and has done a great job of making you feel right at home! We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and listening to the classics on the record player! It’s close to the lake and a short drive to ski/ snow activities. With Covid and living in LA, we were looking for a close getaway to disconnect and unwind. By chance we came across the Aspen Cabin and it was everything we were hoping for. We are already looking forward to returning soon!

Lovely Cozy Cabin Perfection!

The cabin is cozy and beautifully decorated! We really enjoyed our stay. Not having a TV was wonderful. Our family got to spend quality time together and we were all pleasantly entertained in the cabin. The record player and great music selections set the mood. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace, playing games, making puzzles and reading- all provided in the cabin. The bedding is super comfortable - even the kids beds. The towels are nice and fluffy. It's a well styled quaint and elegant space. Patty, the host, was very communicative providing a lot of information in advance of our stay; a list of restaurants near by and things to do and even alerting us of an alternate route home. The location is conveniently close to markets which made it super easy to grab a few extra items as the need arose. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

The most special and magical place

This beautiful cabin is such a special place. From the moment I booked, Patty was in touch to be sure I had all the details - from logistics to the little things that would make the stay the best ever. The drive from LA was easy and the cabin is in a great location. Very near the village/stores and also tucked away in a great quiet neighborhood. It’s also really close to the lake walk. The cabin itself is adorable - straight out of a magazine. The beds are luxury level comfort and the kitchen is well appointed - I made several meals there. It’s the kind of place you dream about when you think of yourself reading by the fire with a cup of tea. She’s got books, games, a record player, puzzles, and wooden blocks for the kids. Sleeps 4 very comfortably. Anytime I’m looking for a cabin retreat, this is where I’m going. Thank you Patty for an amazing experience and for checking in with helpful information along the way.

Perfect for our family

We stayed as a family for 5 nights. We have two small children (6 and under) and it was a great size for the four of us. Traveling with small children, there are always "needs" :) and the host was very kind and accommodating. She sourced a baby gate for the stairs and had suggestions for how to black out the skylight in the upstairs room. We actually didn't need the window black out option but it was very kind and understanding of her to problem solve for our family. The neighborhood is really pretty and so quiet. We soaked up the blooming flowers, wildlife, and peace. We did stroller rides around the neighborhood and enjoyed looking at the houses and views of the lake just a street or two over. We cooked all meals in the kitchen (covid cautious) and enjoyed dining at the table with the French doors open and record player going. The host's dishware is very pretty. It was not a problem for us but please note that there is not a dishwasher. Our favorite feature of the property was the front porch where we spent time reading and playing games. The host was in touch via text whenever we needed her and very generous with tips and suggestions for things to do/places to go around Lake Arrowhead, and even disclosed where she got some of her cute furnishings. Thank you Patty for a wonderful stay and we'd love to come again! We made many happy memories.

Fantastic host and the best little cozy cabin on Vrbo!

First, I want to thank Patty, the host and owner of the cabin we stayed at, for the most memorable experience for my family and me. I can't thank her enough for the best, most wonderful experience we had at this cabin. It's a beautiful, cozy, warm, and very inviting space. There is no TV in the house, but great WiFi if needed. There were plenty of board games available that my family and I enjoyed for hours until bedtime. We created memorable experiences and bonded over the different games we hadn't played in years. Patty provides the utmost 5-star customer service and offers the best communication I have ever had. I never felt frustrated throughout the process of booking the cabin, and her emails that listed all the fun activities we could experience in the area and the fantastic food places she recommended made planning our trip stress-free and the most fun experience we could have. If it weren't for her suggestions, a last-minute planner like myself would have felt stressed and rushed, but she made every step easy and our trip the best possible experience for my family and me. We followed her suggestions on where to eat and what activities we should try, and Patty was not wrong and was on point with her recommendations. There is a host, and there is a great host that goes above and beyond their duties to ensure you have a wonderful experience, and that's what Patty did. She did not need to do all the extras like provide snacks and a bottle of wine, she didn't need to check in to make sure we arrived safely and found the cabin suitable, and she didn't need to make herself available in case we needed anything or had a simple question, but she did. The service was above and beyond my expectations, and we will be coming back to book this cabin and work with Patty as a result of the beautiful experience she provided and the fantastic customer service we received. This was my first time using VRBO coming from the other rental service, and I will honestly never go back. Thank you again, Patty, for letting us stay in your beautiful cozy cabin and fantastic service where we felt provided and cared for.

Lovely cabin stay

My family and I spent a wonderful Thanksgiving break at the cabin. It was just as described, and the hosts were so thoughtful to go out of their way to think of things we might need to celebrate the holiday. Location is very convenient to town, hiking and Santa’s village. We had a lovely time!

Perfect getaway!

Everything was just as the posting and the photos indicate! Patty was so responsive and thoughtful. She has done an amazing job with the cottage, and both my friend and I were impressed with all her quality touches. Patty kindly left us a perfect bottle of wine (she asked ahead of time for our preference!) to enjoy upon our arrival and for the first evening of our getaway. She left some snacks, waters, coffee and fruit popsicles as well, and did a wonderful job of leaving a comprehensive list of things to do, favorite restaurants and shops, and even personalized some of the information to our interests. The house was immaculate, and honestly, it was everything we could have wanted for our weekend getaway; we will especially miss the morning coffee and evening cocktail on the shaded porch! Thank you Patty :)

The perfect mountain getaway

If you want a quick Southern California getaway- this is the place to go! It is perfectly decorated, cozy, and serene. My children loved being upstairs in their own room away from my husband and I, and vice versa. Our goal was to play every amazing record that was available- and we almost did. Even the kids loved changing the next record. The book collection was so fun, and perfectly suited to the decor of the house. Just a quick walk to the lake, the local grocery store, restaurants and shops, made you really feel like a local. We didn't move our car all weekend. The VRBO host was always available with any questions about the lighting, the local restaurants, etc. Our car was all smiles on the way home. A perfect weekend stay.

Winter Get Away

Everything about the trip was amazing! Property management was outstanding in their hospitality, they made sure everything was ready to go and provided for us. Cabin was even better than we had hoped after reviewing online. We stayed for the weekend and were greeted by the friendly neighbors who made us feel welcomed as well. We got a bit of snow which made the trip magical! There were no issues at all and the stay by far exceeded our expectations. We would love to come and stay again some time!
