The property of Gîtes du Vieux Mas de l'Étourneau offers two adjoining cottages for rent listed on Abritel. Located in a magnificent region between the Crau and the Rhône, less than 25 kilometers from Arles, at the crossroads of prestigious tourist sites: Provence, the Crau and the Camargue. The city of Arles will charm you with its beautiful Roman monuments classified as historical heritage.

Quiet, lulled by the song of the cicadas, you will be accommodated within the Camargue natural park and near the Vigueirat marshes. The Mas de l'étourneau is bordered by vineyards, rice fields and other crops. We welcome you to the heart of our working farm. You will be welcomed in the property dating from the 17th century with stone facades.

Each cottage has on the ground floor a living room with kitchen, dining room and living room as well as two bedrooms and a bathroom-wc upstairs. Each has its own terrace with a view of the swimming pool and the large shared garden. The cottages are equipped with air conditioning and mosquito nets.
The Via Rhôna (cycling route along the Rhône), which passes just behind the farmhouse, will offer you many possibilities for bike rides, or on foot suitable for families. You will enjoy the beaches of Salin de Giraud, Beauduc, Port saint louis (approx. 25km) but also Saintes marie de la mer, the Calanques or even the Grande Motte.

We will be happy to welcome you to the Camargue so that you can enjoy a Provencal stay during your vacation.

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed the very clean and neat house and it's big garden. It's located nicely between Arles and some great parts of the Camargue. We didn't miss the WiFi. And most of all, we loved the wonderful our hosts, who made us feel very welcome and took good care of us.

A nice and calm accommodation equipped with everything

The farmhouse is equipped with everything and the outside entertainment area offers a lot of relaxation for one to just stay at the residence and enjoy moments of peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. The location of the farmhouse is ideal to reach most places in the Camargue , Alpilles areas within an hour or less. The hosts are very helpful and full of tips of how one can can make the most of the visit. :)

Nice place in the middle of pure nature

Plain house with all necessary items on-board. Very friendly and hosts in separate building. In the house: Good sleeping conditions and sufficient space for 4 people. Lots of regional information available Mobile phone and Internet conditions are basic. Outside the house: Provence :-)

Das Ferienhaus war sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Es war viel Platz zum Parken. Der Pool stand immer zur Verfügung, auch ausreichend Liegen und Stühle waren vorhanden. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nur WLAN gab es nicht, obwohl es im Inserate angegeben war.

Pour la Wifi ,elle n'est pas notifiée dans l'annonce, nous espérons l'arrivée de la fibre .....mais heureusement que le réseau 5G disponible sur tout les téléphones d'aujourd'hui pallient à ce manque ,Mais c''est aussi l'avantage de pourvoir déconnecter ....c'est ca aussi les vacances! Des hôtes vraiment exceptionnels de gentillesse et de bienveillance qui vous accueillent dans un gîte très bien équipé dans un environnement calme et reposant doté de surcroit d'une belle piscine que Michel a maintenu chauffée alors que nous étions hors saison. NB: Les circonstances ayant voulu que je sois hospitalisé en urgences au milieu de notre séjour il me faut aussi souligné l'assistance aussi efficace que chaleureuse d'Isabelle et de Michel auprès de mon épouse. Ils ont toute notre gratitude.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub auf diesem gepflegten Anwesen. Unsere Kinder haben den Pool und den großen Garten geliebt. Gemütliche Mahlzeiten auf der Terasse tragen auch dazu bei, dass man gerne auch mal einen Tag einfach dort verbringt. Aber auch für Ausflüge ist die Lage super.Isabelle und Michel sind sehr aufmerksame und herzliche Gastgeber, die sich toll um ihre Gäste kümmern.

Wer Ruhe sucht und dazu noch Wert legt auf sehr liebenswerte und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, der ist da bestens aufgehoben!Ein schönes gepflegtes Grundstück, was komplett mit genutzt werden kann. Beheizter,eingezäunter Pool, Terrasse mit Tisch und Stühlen,Sonnenliegen Grill ,Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück und ca. 400m von der Dorfstrasse weg, umgeben von Reisfeldern.Die Ferienwohnung ist eine eingerichtete Bauernwohnung mit allem was man braucht, aber wer Luxus sucht ist hier verkehrt. Küche mit Kühlschrank und TK Fach, Gasherd inkl. Backofen, Geschirrspüler und genügend Geschirr.Wohnzimmer mit Sofa, TV ( nur französische Sender) und Esstisch mit Stühlen.Im EG gibt es noch einen Abstellraum mit Waschmaschine,Bügelbrett,Bügeleisen, Sitzauflagen für die Terrassenmöbel etc.Im OG Kinderzimmer mit 2 einzelnen Betten und zweites Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett. Badezimmer mit Waschtisch, Dusche und WC.Sehr positiv, jedes Zimmer hat eine Klimaanlage, gerade im Sommer wurde das gut genutzt.Kleiner "Tante Emma" Laden für die Grundversorgung ist im Dorf, der nächste Supermarkt aber ca.15 Autominuten entfernt. In der Ferienwohnung gab es kein WLAN, was wir aber nicht als schlimm empfanden,da man so mit einem guten Buch die Ruhe genießen kann. Einziger Nachteil für uns waren die kleinen Betten. Doppelbett 1,80m x 1,40m. Einzelbetten im zweiten Schlafzimmer 1,80m x 0,70m.Wir können das nur weiterempfehlen!

Charmant mas au coeur de la camargue

Très belle maison à proximité d'Arles, de Port Saint Louis et du bac de barcarin, ce qui permet de rayonner dans toute la Camargue, et dans les Alpilles. Michel et Isabelle sont très sympathiques, aiment leur région et la faire découvrir. Le gîte est confortable et bien équipé. A recommander.

Séjour très agréable en Camargue

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en Camargue, avec le gîte d'Isabelle et Michel comme point d'attache.Un endroit plein de charme, paisible, avec tout le confort, et des jeux extérieurs qui ont fait le bonheur de nos filles de 2 et 5 ans. Le gîte est très bien situé pour visiter les environs.Un grand merci à nos hôtes pour leur accueil chaleureux, leurs conseils et leur gentillesse.

Wunderschönes Haus am Naturschutzgebiet

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, das Haus liegt ideal um Ausflüge mit dem Rad oder Auto in das Naturschutzgebiet der Camargue und die umliegenden Städte zu unternehmen. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und hervorragend ausgestattet, der Garten und der Pool laden zum verweilen ein. Isabelle und Michele sind aufmerksame und sehr freundliche Gastgeber die uns viele gute Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben haben, wir haben uns sehr über die netten Gespräche gefreut. Im Haus ist mit Mobilfunkempfang nicht zu rechnen, was sehr zur Entspannung beiträgt.

Sommerurlaub in der Camargue

Wir durften unseren Sommerurlaub in diesem wunderbaren Domizil verbringen und waren rundum begeistert. Isabelle und Michele sind absolut nette, zuvorkommende und hilfsbereite Vermieter, die stets darum bemüht waren, unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Das Anwesen liegt günstig, um von dort aus die Umgebung und Städte wie Arles, Montpellier oder Avignon zu erkunden. Bis zum Strand sind es ca. 25 km, was für uns ideal war. Es gibt verschiedene Strände in der Nähe – hier dürfte wirklich für jeden etwas dabei sein. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den fantastischen Pool. Er war stets sauber und gepflegt und hat unseren Kindern jede Menge Freude bereitet. Wir können sowohl die Unterkunft als auch die herzlichen Vermieter uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Sehr schön

Isabelle und Michel waren sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt, trotz fehlender beidseitiger Sprachkenntnisse. Das Objekt war sehr schön, groß und gepflegt. Der Pool war bei den Temperaturen perfekt. Der Bauernhof liegt sehr ländlich und ruhig, aber dennoch für Ausflüge zum Meer und viele schöne Orte zentral. Dafür ist ein Auto unerlässlich. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit und unsere absolute Empfehlung.

Sehr schöne Wohnung

Die Wohnung war gut ausgestattet und super sauber, alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Die Terasse, der Garten und der Pool sind ein Traum! Isabelle und Michel waren sehr zuvorkommend und super hilfsbereit. Wir haben die Zeit hier in der Camargue sehr genossen!

Sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt in wunderschönem Haus

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen erholsamen Aufenthalt. Ein wunderschöner Garten mit tollem Pool, ein altes Bauernhaus mit viel Flair, gelegen auf einem ruhigen Grundstück, inmitten der Felder. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, die viele Tipps und Empfehlungen geben konnten. Die Wohnung selber ist gut und ausreichend ausgestattet. Wir haben die Stille sehr genossen. Für Unternehmungen sind Autofahrten nötig, an sich ist die Lage gut, da sowohl die schönen Ziele in der Camargue als auch Arles, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence innerhalb von 30-50 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen sind. Einzig schade war, dass es kein WLAN gab. Internetempfang über Handy war jedoch kein Problem. Schönes Haus, tolle Umgebung, freundliche Gastgeber - vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt! Wir würden wiederkommen!

Excellent weekend

Nous avons passé un excellent weekend. Les hôtes sont très sympathiques et de bons conseils pour visiter le coin. Le gite est bien équipé avec un magnifique jardin. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir pour des vacances plus longues!

Vacances au top!

Superbe location au calme, piscine et parc très agréable avec également une très belle terrasse. Intérieur très propre et tout confort. Isabelle et Michel sont très sympathiques et toujours disponibles pour des renseignements et de bons conseils. Je conseille les yeux fermés !

Wunderbar! Wir kommen wieder! :)

Ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus auf einem Bauernhof. Isabelle und Michel sind tolle Gastgeber, die Anlage und das Haus sind sehr gepflegt, sehr schön und ruhig. Man muss sich anstrengen um mal ein Auto zu hören. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub und können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen!

Vacances entre terre et mer

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable, Michel et Isabelle sont aux petits soins pour leurs locataires et prêts à aider en cas de besoin. Le logement est climatisé (indispensable l'été) et la literie est de bonne qualité (détail important pour bien se reposer car ce n'est pas toujours le cas...). La piscine est un atout sans aucun doute. Nous reviendrons.

Gite en Camargue

Une bel guite, avec une grande balançoire et une belle piscine. Il a tout ce qu'il faut. Isabelle et Michel sont des hôtes très sympathiques. Merci beaucoup pour ce bon moment. Jacqueline et Helmuth.

Ein sehr schöner Urlaub

Die gîte ist einerseits ruhig, andererseits aber auch sehr zentral gelegen, sodass viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in naher Umgebung liegen. Michel und Isabelle sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit und jederzeit da, wenn man sie braucht. Die gîte ist sehr gut ausgestattet, komfortabel, traditionell eingerichtet und sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub!

Schönes Ferienhaus mit guter Anbindung

Das Ferienhaus ist eines von 2 Doppelhaushälften, die Vermieter wohnen mit auf dem Gelände. Das Grundstück ist toll angelegt und bietet ausreichend Platz für beide Parteien. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist gut und bietet im Grunde alles was man braucht.
