Our location is perfect, if you like privacy, to enjoy while enjoying your time in the sun on the lanai, this side of tower two is the only place you can do that, along with those evenings your dinning on the lanai, you don't have to share it with everyone else. Our prices reflect up to 5 person occupancy . There's no parking fee, the Resort does charge a Resort fee of $20.00 starting April 2017, for services such as tennis court use, gym, beach towels, beach chairs, also free large washer and dryers on each floor next to elevators on each floor, includes free parking, and etc. Also this side of tower two is where you view Maui Sunsets. About George Woolston

George and Judy Woolston, we have been owners since 1998 and purchased room #657 in 2005. We came to Maui on our honeymoon in 1971. We been in the building business most my life, and bought and sold property. When we first visited The Whaler in 1996, we knew this was a very special place, and began our reserch to own our own place on this wonderful beach front property like no other, even among the fine properties were surrounded with here on Kaanapali Beach. People ask all the time why I think its different. Well its different in many ways, but here,s one no one can argue with. The Whaler property has two towers seperated by a huge court yard, so what that does from the sunrise early the sun shines its beautiful light from between the two towers and lights up your day from the beginning. During the day you can enjoy both the beautiful ocean while you enjoy the mountains at the same time. Kaanapali beach walk is as good as it gets. your steps from Whalers Village, its so nice to break up the day and take sroll, shop, eat, and much more. Black Rock is one of the great reasons people want to be here also. And if your so blessed to be here Dec. through March for whale birthing season, its just a time in your life you will remember. My wife and I are retired, and enjoy come back several times a year. We live in Boise Idaho, and enjoy its beauty. We have lived on a small ranch and have raised and shown working cow horses, had as many as 55 head. We are presently down to two. We are both bible teachers, enjoy talking to people about Gods Kingdom. Its Gods Heavenly Government. Being that the Whaler is a condo property, its so perfect for families and couples alike. Our condo is 905 sq. ft. interior and lanai area 215 sq. ft. you get so much more for your vacation. cooking, free washer and dryer on each floor next to the elevators, large private lanai, our lanai is blocked from the trade winds because of its orientation, and also the sunsets and the privacy that it affords. were on the six floor where your not to high and to low just right. always ask for additional photos and like us us we have videos we offer. The Whaler is a place you need to come visit and expierence for yourself

What a lovely location and property!

We just loved the ease of our stay; the location, parking, everything! The lobby and grounds have been updated and are gorgeous. Truly the perfect place for a couple or small family.

Maui is the place to be!

Kaanapali Beach is a great place to spend a vacation. It can be both relaxing and active how ever you choose the day. We stayed for 3 weeks and enjoyed the location since you really didn't need a car since Whaler village is just steps away from the property and there is both a bus and trolley to get to a nearby grocery store.

The kitchen was fully equipped if you like cooking in which we did most of the days we were there. Loved also having 2 bathrooms. The unit was plenty big for the 2 of us and large lanai for being outside. It does get to be too hot there in the afternoon so we opted to be by the pool where it was cooler.

This property provided lots of beach toys too. We used the chairs but sand umbrella was broken. The unit itself was a little outdated and has seen some wear. The owner George was very responsive though of our needs and took care of everything. I couple things that would have been nice to have was a set of extra bedsheets since there is no housekeeping and it needs new pillows as they are stained. My preference is to have white sheets and bedding like most hotels as then you know how clean it is instead of the gray sheets that were on the bed. I would give this property 4 out of 5 stars for location, space and amenities.

Amazing view

The Whaler is our favorite place to stay in Maui, given the convenient location next to Black Rock and Whaler's Village. Our second preference is to be on the south-facing, non-windy of either tower. This unit in particular is only one unit back from oceanfront, and the views are amazing. My husband and I stayed in George and Judy's place for eight nights, and it was heaven. This is our second time renting this place. The owners are quick to respond to inquiries and seem genuinely interested in sharing their beautiful condo with others. The kitchen is nicely updated, the new carpeting is luxurious, and the bed is super comfy! We spent most of our time on the lanai, taking in the gorgeous views, and listening to crashing waves and birds. Can't wait to return.

Whalers Village Roofs

Well first off, the unit was not clean at 3:30. We were tired from the flight and not pleased when we opened the door to a dirty unit. I called the owner George and he said he forgot to call the cleaning people. So we had to wander around the area for two hours waiting for the unit to be ready.

On our check out day the cleaning people were standing around in the corridor at 11 am waiting for us to leave. George didn't offer us anything like a late check out and called to ask us to vacate now even though his next group said they would not check in until 3:30.

The unit is on the 6th floor and looks right into the roofs of the Whalers Village. There was demolition work going on in the Village so there was plenty of noise associated with the large excavators they were using to tear down a building. If you don't mind looking down at roof top ACs and ducting then the unit is ok for you. My advice is to always stay in tower 1. There you will always have a good view. Tower 2 has too much junk on the side facing the village.

Owner's Response: Our condo is our second home, and enjoy it greatly and want our guest to also. We want our guest to have the very best time while staying with us. The unit wasn't cleaned when my guest arrived, so when I first heard I apologize immediately, and got the cleaning people there right away. I offered to buy them dinner. The room was ready in 2 hours. Guest ask me all the time if they can do a late check out, because of flights, and the answer is always yes if there's not back to back guest coming in and going. The same is true for early check ins. In this case the next guest was checking in within 4 hours. We have one of the best locations at the Whaler as you can see by our reviews, pictures, and videos when asked we email the videos to you. Once again I apologize to this guest, and wish them the best. Mahalo
