About the property

Historic 1909 Home -Large Rooftop Deck-Garden Filled Corner Lot -Walk Everywhere

Our 1909 home has been completely renovated and beautifully decorated. Located in the historic Garden District, it is only a short walk to Sherman Ave, the center of downtown, the resort and the shores of Lake Coeur D'Alene.

Highlights of our home are many. The house has three stories with sleeping accommodations on all three levels. We have a large rooftop deck which has access from two of the upstairs bedrooms as well as from the kitchen breezeway. There are chaise lounges for sunbathing and an outdoor dining table for summer dining and loveseats to relax in and watch the comings and goings on the street below! The small backyard is fenced and is perfect for kids or playing a game of bocce.

On the upper level of the home there are two large bedrooms with one queen and one king bed, a third bedroom offers a full size bed. All bedrooms have flat screen televisions. Two of the bedrooms have sliding doors out to the deck-perfect for that morning cup of coffee! The bathroom has been remodeled to include granite counter top, stone tiles and a jetted Jacuzzi tub.

The main floor is equipped with a large gourmet kitchen with eating space in both the kitchen and dining room. The over-sized living room offers a large flat-screen TV with a Wii video game system and custom designed marble fire place. Attached to the living room through a set of French doors is an office/den that is perfect for a children's playroom and/or extra bedroom. There are kid's toys, games and books as well as a queen sofa bed. The bathroom on this level is a 3/4 bath with shower.

The lower level has a large bedroom with 2 twin beds and flat screen television. The laundry facilities are also on this level.

Downtown is the center of Coeur d'Alene fun and you will find coffee shops, wine tasting, fine dining, shopping, live music and a vibrant art scene. The new McEuen City Park with its large kids play area, water splash park, basketball courts and off-leash dog park is just a short walk down Fifth Street. Tubbs Hill walking trail that follows the shoreline of the lake is there as well. The resort and lakeside boardwalk is next to the park. The City Park and Public Beach, on the beautiful shores of Lake Coeur D'Alene, will provide you with sunny life-guarded beaches, the popular Fort Sherman Playground, and newly restored Playland Pier Carousel. You will find boat, paddle board, kayak & canoe rentals. Lake cruises, seaplane tours, para-sailing and zip-lining are also popular summer activities. Centennial Trail, which winds along the lake for biking, running & walking, is a short walk from the house.

This is a beautiful historic home that has been tastefully and smartly updated!

We had a party of 8 including 2 children and were very comfortable. There were plenty of supplies - towels, tp, even shampoo and hair dryers. I can’t think of a single thing that was missing, and we threw Christmas dinner for 10 with room and supplies to spare. I liked the performance of the dishwasher so much I just bought one for my house!

Walnut Creek

Beautifully decorated house

  • 5 of 5

A well-stocked comfortable house that I would rent again. The owner was very responsive and the location to the rest of the town was ideal. There were several rooms including the outside patio that were great to be in for the four of us.

Great place, location and well stocked

  • 5 of 5

This was such a great place, great location in a great city. All the charm of a character house with all the modern amenities. We were so impressed. Highly recommend this house to any one else.

What impressed us most was how well the house was stocked. Condiments in the kitchen, kitchenware in general, HBA products, bikes, lake toys, the list goes on. The roof top deck was pretty impressive as well.

From the minute we drove up on the residence, we all knew this place was going to be great!

  • 5 of 5

The property was amazing to view! The completely landscaped yard was a great addition to the fantastic looking house. The exterior of the property was looking 100%. Once we moved inside the house, it kept getting better. Jude was great and was very knowledgable of the property and area. We were an an hour earlier than planned and she made it work so we didn't have to wait at all. The inside was very well furnished and came with a lot more little things that we all took for granted in our everyday houses. Lots of sleeping spaces with very comfortable beds and bedding. BBQing in the evenings were great as we could enjoy the massive upper level deck while enjoying the peace and quiet. This place was fantastic!!! Highly recommended.

Our home is a short 5 block walk south to the downtown area which sits on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene. There you will find McEuen Park, Tubbs Hill, the famed Coeur d'Alene Resort, City Beach & Park, & the newly restored Playland Pier Carousel.

This beautiful resort town offers great restaurants, wine tasting, coffee shops, art galleries and wonderful shopping. The outdoor activities are endless - paddle-board and kayak rentals, para-sailing and seaplane tours, boat cruise tours and boat rentals, zipline tours and much more.

Take a 2 block walk north from the house and you will find the Midtown Neighborhood which is an up and coming area that has some of our favorite restaurants, pub and shops.

There are several golf courses nearby including the Coeur d'Alene Resort, Circling Raven, and The Highlands. All within a short drive from the house.

Silverwood Theme Park is a 30 minute drive from the house & there are 3 ski resorts within a short drive - Schweitzer Mountain, Silver Mountain and Lookout Pass.

There are great bike trail systems including The Hiawatha Mountain Trail which is built on an old railroad with tunnels and trusses that let you see the natural side of Idaho. The Centennial Trail provides miles of paved paths through the north Idaho landscape and runs right through downtown CDA.
