Views from this cabin are amazing!!!!! Henrys lake is just gorgeous and the cabin is so comfortable and well maintained. We drove from New York and spent our days exploring Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks. The entrance to Yellowstone is only 15 minutes away!! After a full day of exploring we would come home to relax and enjoy dinner and drinks overlooking the lake.We enjoyed watching the cows graze across the lake and even saw a mull moose on one of my walks around the area!!! Being able to have our 2 labs stay with us was just wonderful. Every morning they would enjoy their swim in Henrys lake. Sandi and Bill are so gracious and I am so glad that they welcome dogs into their lovely home!!! I highly recommend this cabin and we will definitely will return!! Just wished we lived closer and we would make it a yearly vacation. The drive took us 3 days but it was the best vacation we have ever had!!!
My wife, two children and I had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was very clean. It was incredibly beautiful. We sat on the back deck and just enjoyed the incredible views. We ended up, quite unexpectedly, renting jet skis one day and having a deck we could park the skis at and take turns and eat lunch was just incredible. We went to Yellowstone a couple of times and being so close to West Yellowstone was just amazing for us. I've stayed a number of times in the Island Park/West Yellowstone area, this vacation, largely as a result of our selecting this cabin, was easily our family's most favorite Island Park experience. Thank you for allowing us use of this great place.
We had talked for years about going out west to explore Yellowstone, and we finally did it. It turns out this was my second favorite vacation - second only to a land/sea trip to Alaska back in 2002. We are two 55+ couples from the Cleveland, OH area who have vacationed together many times. We came to Henry's Lake after two nights in Jackson, WY exploring the Grand Tetons. We planned three nights at Henry's Lake and the final three nights in another vacation rental at the Northern Entrance to Yellowstone. Why would anyone want to be cramped up in a hotel room when you could have an entire house with all the conveniences of home at your fingertips? The cost of this cabin was actually cheaper than the hotel we stayed in at Jackson Hole! The home was clean and comfortable. We were greeted with a welcome basket filled with goodies. We stopped at a grocery store outside of Yellowstone and bought food for breakfast, packed lunches, and used the grill each night for delicious dinners. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. It was great having access to a washer and dryer as we didn't have to pack quite as much clothing. There was a closet full of games and puzzles, and we spent the evenings relaxing and playing cards and games. While we didn't get to see any moose, we did see eagles and osprey. And the view of the lake and the surrounding mountains was stunning! Our friend is a fisherman, and he enjoyed spending time on the pier each evening. The owners were great to work with and answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend this cabin as a place to stay if you are exploring Yellowstone and don't mind a 20-minute drive to the West Entrance of the park.
This cabin is very clean and well kept. It is actually quite large. The owners take pride in this place! A stay here is relaxing, fun, and offers much to do for all. It's a short trip to Yellowstone from this location. The canoe and paddle boat were great extras so that we didn't have to bring our own items. It's a few steps to the lake and dock. We even got to see a moose very close by which excited the kids! I highly recommend this cabin as a good get-a-way opportunity for you to consider. Owners are terrific to work with!!!
After a trip through Zion and Grand Teton National Parks our family of 4 stayed at the Henry's Lake Waterfront Cabin for a week in July 2014. We used it as a home base while we explored Yellowstone National Park. The cabin was exactly what we expected and it was a nice get away from the touristy areas closer to the park. Sitting on the porch overlooking the lake while our two teenage boys fished or cruised the shoreline in the peddle boat was very relaxing after a full day of hiking and exploring in the park. The cabin had all necessary amenities and the owners where available when we had questions. The gift basket we received upon arrival was a nice touch and the boys ate it all up! With its close proximity to the park it was a nice get away with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway or a home base to operate from while in the Yellowstone area we highly recommend this cabin and we thank the owners for sharing it with us!
